Chapter 293: Dreams of Grandeur (1st Update)
The sash gradually loosened, and the resplendent dress fell to the ground. Ye Wenxin held a jug of wine in her hand and poured a few sips into her mouth. Her eyes were filled with desire, while Courtesan Yingchun lay on the bed, awkwardly shifting her body.
“Don’t move,” said Ye Wenxin, her face now adorned with a wicked smirk. She looked at the courtesan as if admiring a beautiful landscape painting. The clarity in her eyes was almost too pure, yet made Courtesan Yingchun feel extremely uncomfortable.
“Miss Wenxin, I’m ready.” Courtesan Yingchun gritted her teeth and finally laid her hands flat, revealing her embroidered dudou in front of Ye Wenxin.
Ye Wenxin stepped forward, untied the strings, and pulled down the dudou, revealing an even more wonderful sight. Courtesan Yingchun gritted her teeth harder, and Ye Wenxin gently reassured her, “Don’t be afraid; I’ll be gentle.”
As she spoke, she brought the jug of wine closer. The wine poured out, lightly wetting Courtesan Yingchun’s skin. The cool wine slowly permeated her skin, making Courtesan Yingchun feel even more peculiar. Ye Wenxin gently stroked, and infused her Qi into the moist area.
The cool wine began to heat up, some invisible vapor seemed to evaporate from it. Her moans were melodious, and her slender waist twisted gracefully. Ye Wenxin sat quietly, watching without paying any attention to the struggles of the person on the bed.
Courtesan Yingchun tightly gripped the bed sheet, resisting that unknown sensation, but soon, she was drenched in fragrant sweat. She panted heavily, her seductive demeanor even more alluring.
Ye Wenxin took a sip of wine to moisten her parched throat before setting down the jug. She then removed her coat and quietly climbed onto the bed. Courtesan Yingchun didn’t resist; her body was too weak to muster any strength. Ye Wenxin easily lay down beside her and asked, “Do you still have insomnia now?”
Courtesan Yingchun weakly shook her head and continued, “Your treatment last time was quite effective, miss. I’m already feeling sleepy.”
Ye Wenxin smiled, “That’s good. Since you’re sleepy, rest up for today.” She carefully covered Courtesan Yingchun with a quilt, while she herself lay uncovered, watching her.
“Miss Wenxin, aren’t you going to sleep?” Courtesan Yingchun turned her head in confusion. Drenched in sweat, she emitted a faint fragrance—an extraordinarily captivating beauty.
“I slept too much and can’t fall asleep now,” Ye Wenxin said with a wry smile. She regretted sleeping too much during the day; no matter how hard she tried now, she couldn’t feel any drowsiness.
Moreover, cultivators didn’t really need sleep after reaching Nascent Soul stage. The current Ye Wenxin felt that this night, she was particularly out of place with everyone else.
“Then Yingchun would like to chat with you, Miss Wenxin…” Before she could finish her sentence, Courtesan Yingchun had already closed her eyes and soon drifted into a deep sleep.
Ye Wenxin felt bored again. Seeing that Courtesan Yingchun was already asleep, she looked at the tightly wrapped blanket and then, directly lifted it.
The rich aroma of wine, mixed with the woman’s fragrance, spread out. Ye Wenxin was pleased with the scene. She took out silver needles from her bag of holding and began practicing the Soul Suppressing Eighteen Needles on the sleeping Courtesan Yingchun.
The morning’s first ray of sunlight shone in, and the once peacefully sleeping Courtesan Yingchun woke up startled from her dream. Her face was flushed, as if she had experienced a very strange dream. The contents of the dream made her feel extremely shy, and she was reluctant to recall more.
But when she looked around, she saw the real person hugging her, still wrapped in the quilt, sleeping soundly beside her without any inappropriate actions.
Courtesan Yingchun’s face heated up even more. She felt that the so-called wine therapy Ye Wenxin had performed yesterday was too pleasant, causing her to have such dreams at night.
Thinking of this, Courtesan Yingchun felt even more shy. She carefully moved the quilt over Ye Wenxin, got out of bed barefoot, and began to dress and groom herself.
The maid came on time to knock outside the door, but before she could knock twice, she saw her mistress hurriedly come out of the boudoir.
“Shh, be quiet.” Courtesan Yingchun gestured for silence. The maid nodded, following behind Courtesan Yingchun without questioning the reason behind her actions.
The two walked, one behind the other. In the early morning, the Winter Jasmine appeared somewhat desolate. Wherever Courtesan Yingchun walked, everyone slightly bowed their heads, showing their respect.
Madam Yu was the Winter Jasmine’s owner, while Yingchun, the top courtesan, held her own authority within the establishment. She was a courtesan, but still possessed her own rights.
She continued forward and quickly reached the backyard.
Pushing open the door, she saw a woman in coarse clothing, busy working in the kitchen. The woman had an ugly birthmark covering most of her face, and upon seeing Courtesan Yingchun, she merely nodded slightly. Courtesan Yingchun glanced at the maid behind her, who immediately understood and closed the kitchen door.
One was beautiful and the other ugly, but upon closer inspection, one would find that the two women had somewhat similar facial contours. Courtesan Yingchun spoke first, “Sister, I’m leaving today. Please take care of matters at the Winter Jasmine in my absence.”
Upon hearing this, the ugly woman merely nodded slightly and did not stop her work, as if she didn’t take the so-called request to heart.
Courtesan Yingchun seemed accustomed to this, and thinking of Ye Wenxin still asleep in the boudoir, she added, “Recently, there’s been an interesting guest who climbs into the boudoir in the middle of the night. If you see her, don’t be alarmed.”
The ugly woman finally paused in her actions and said, “I sell my art, not my body.”
“What nonsense are you talking about? She’s the woman who cured the insomnia that had troubled me for years. She’s a good person, just a bit eccentric.” Recalling Ye Wenxin, Courtesan Yingchun couldn’t help but explain further.
“That’s good to hear. Here, try my new pastries.” The ugly woman brought a plate to Courtesan Yingchun.
Courtesan Yingchun, without hesitation, grabbed one of the delicate pastries and tasted it. “It melts in your mouth. The flavor is really good.”
The ugly woman finally smiled. She washed her hands and walked to a distant partition.
Shortly after, another woman appeared in the kitchen. Strangely, this newly-appeared woman looked exactly like Courtesan Yingchun in both appearance and dress.
Courtesan Yingchun, seeing this woman who looked exactly like her, nodded in satisfaction and continued, “Sister, I’ll leave the Winter Jasmine to you. Master is waiting for my report.”
With that, she quickly walked into the partition the ugly woman had entered earlier, and never reappeared.
