The Green Tea Supporting Character Disgusts The Male Lead Chapter 10

Midnight

The day ended with a melodramatic abuse value of 18 points. The extra points came from her chatting with the nurse at night. The nurse was moved to tears by Ruan Yuexi, repeatedly calling her a good girl and branding Shang Yao as a scoundrel.

Listening to the nurse badmouth Shang Yao, Ruan Yuexi fell asleep peacefully. However, she was awakened in the middle of the night by chaotic noises outside. Being alone and unable to call the nurse, thoughts of scary horror movies flooded Ruan Yuexi’s mind, making it impossible for her to sleep. She picked up her phone and dialed “Green-Hat Pervert,” waiting anxiously as it rang.

The wind howled outside, causing Ruan Yuexi to shiver with fear. Calling the pervert was meant to bolster her courage. After all, the demons were all there in the world, so why should she be afraid of a vague and illusory ghost? Mainly, she didn’t have the heart to disturb secretary Fang in the middle of the night.

After what seemed like an eternity, the call was finally answered. A voice on the other end, barely containing its simmering anger, asked, “Want to die?”

“Brother Yao, there’s something strange about this hospital,” Ruan Yuexi said, shrinking against the headboard. She had just heard someone in the neighboring ward pass away.

Ruan Yuexi waited for a minute but heard no response. “It seems someone next door has passed away,” she continued, not seeking help but rather deliberately trying to disturb him.

After a while, she heard clear movements from the other end of the line, then the call abruptly ended.

Ruan Yuexi anticipated this reaction. Achieving her goal of waking him up, she was now left with fear.

Summoning her courage, she lay back down, but then someone knocked on her door. Startled, Ruan Yuexi nearly jumped out of her skin. Who could it be at this hour?

The knocking persisted, and Ruan Yuexi, clutching her chest, cautiously looked towards the door. It was Lu Yiliang. Instantly relieved, she opened the door. “Why are you here? You scared me. I thought it was someone else,” Ruan Yuexi said, visibly relaxing upon seeing Lu Yiliang.

Supporting himself with a cane, Lu Yiliang said, “The patient next door just passed away. I was worried you’d be scared.”

Ruan Yuexi rushed forward and grabbed his hand. “You’re such a good person,” she said, tears welling up in her eyes.

Lu Yiliang looked at her delicate, smooth hand, momentarily taken aback. Then, with a gentle and refined smile, he said, “As long as you’re alright.” With that, he turned to go back to his room.

Ruan Yuexi grabbed his sleeve. “Since you’re such a good person, why not see it through and escort me?”

Lu Yiliang looked puzzled but agreed nonetheless. Shortly after, Ruan Yuexi followed him to his room. Exhausted, she lay down on the sofa in Lu Yiliang’s hospital room and fell asleep almost instantly.

Watching her sleep peacefully, Lu Yiliang shook his head in amusement and gently covered her with a blanket.

Returning to his own bed, he could still hear faint sobbing from the nearby wards, where families were mourning.

He slowly opened his eyes again, looking at Ruan Yuexi, who slept so deeply that not even a thunderstorm could disturb her. Contrary to his expectations, he didn’t find her annoying but rather unexpectedly intriguing.

Not long after, a tall figure strode into Ruan Yuexi’s room. Finding it empty, his brow furrowed slightly before he left for Lu Yiliang’s room.

Knock knockā€”the sound of knocking on the door startled Lu Yiliang awake once more. After hesitating for a moment, he quietly got out of bed and opened the door. Seeing the visitor, Lu Yiliang was visibly surprised.

“Shang Yao?”

“Yeah.” Shang Yao’s cold, jade-like face replied simply, stepping decisively into the room.

Sure enough, Ruan Yuexi was fast asleep, completely unaware. Shang Yao frowned as he paused by the sofa, lifting Ruan Yuexi as if she were a sack of potatoes.

Seeing his rough movements, Lu Yiliang couldn’t help but remind him, “Shang Yao, please be gentle. After all, Miss Ruan is a lady.”

Ignoring him, Shang Yao carried Ruan Yuexi out of the room with his usual cold and emotionless gaze.

Lu Yiliang bit his lip, watching Shang Yao’s back for a long time before looking away.

Shang Yao placed Ruan Yuexi back in her hospital bed. Even though she was limp in his arms, her alluring beauty couldn’t be ignored.

Ruan Yuexi was placed on the bed with gentle movements. Before the quilt was covered, Ruan Yuexi stepped on Shang Yao’s beautiful face with her bare feet.

The atmosphere was suffocating, and Shang Yao was instantly filled with murderous intent. He stared at Ruan Yuexi who was smacking her lips.

Just as he was about to reach out and grab her foot, she suddenly withdrew it. Unable to contain his anger, Shang Yao was about to choke Ruan Yuexi.

Ruan Yuexi pursed her lips and said, “Hmm, don’t disturb my sleep, annoying…” Stepping forward, she pulled the blanket over herself once more, falling deeply asleep.

Shang Yao’s icy and piercing gaze was fixed on Ruan Yuexi. The next day, when Ruan Yuexi woke up, she found her hand hurting.

“Ouch~ What happened last night? Why does my hand hurt so much?” Ruan Yuexi weakly shook her hand, rubbed her eyes, and when she opened them, she almost jumped in shock.

“Brother Yao? Why are you here so early?” Just waking up, Ruan Yuexi’s mind was still in a foggy state.

Shang Yao was leaning against the sofa, staring at Ruan Yuexi without blinking, as if she had done something terribly wrong to him.

Ruan Yuexi sized him up, then realized she was in her own hospital room. Clearly, she had gone to sleep in Lu Yiliang’s room last night. How did she wake up back in her own room?

“It couldn’t be that you, Brother Yao , carried me back to my ward, right?” Ruan Yuexi felt it was very possible.

Shang Yao still didn’t say a word, his cold eyes staring at Ruan Yuexi like she was already dead.

Ruan Yuexi suddenly covered her mouth. ” Brother Yao, did a ghost possess you and turn you into a mute?”

Shang Yao: “…”

Ruan Yuexi clearly felt the increasing murderous intent in his eyes and quickly waved her hand. “Just kidding, just kidding. Let me tell you a joke to cheer you up.”

Secretary Fang, who had been here for a while, looked expressionlessly at the ceiling. Making President Shang happy by joking… Madam really is “ingenious”.

Ruan Yuexi laughed awkwardly, trying to ease the embarrassing yet dangerous situation.

“Brother Yao, have you had breakfast? Let’s eat together.” Ruan Yuexi smiled brightly. It’s better not to provoke the male lead too much for now. Who knows what he might do in the next moment with his eccentric personality.

However, Shang Yao stood up and walked step by step towards Ruan Yuexi’s bedside, his imposing manner making Ruan Yuexi tense all over, a chilling sense of danger.

Secretary Fang tightened her grip on the breakfast in her hand, seeming to consider whether to intervene. If she did, would she also be implicated?

“Do you think I won’t touch you just because of Grandfather?” Shang Yao’s voice was low and hoarse. No matter how careless Ruan Yuexi was, she could hear the warning in his words.

“Playing tricks on me repeatedly? How much longer do you think you’ll live?” Shang Yao leaned closer to Ruan Yuexi’s startlingly delicate face, his eyes carefully examining every inch of her skin.

Just as Ruan Yuexi was about to speak, her chin was suddenly gripped tightly by him, causing her to gasp in pain.

“Do you think you can get my attention with such methods?” Under Shang Yao’s icy gaze, there was nothing but disdain. It seemed that in his eyes, Ruan Yuexi was like a clown.

Secretary Fang couldn’t help but worry for Ruan Yuexi. President Shang’s methods knew no gender boundaries, and Madam, she…

Just then, Ruan Yuexi’s face slowly wrinkled as she tilted her head back. “Brother Yao, have you been feeling irritable lately? Your tone is quite harsh.”

Shang Yao: “…”

“Ruan Yuexi! Are you looking to die?!” A roar came from the ward.

A passing nurse frowned and knocked on the door. “Please keep quiet, the patient needs rest.”

Secretary Fang: “…Sorry.” She didn’t know what else to say.

In the end, Ruan Yuexi could only eat porridge. Who made him so fierce? Actually, he didn’t have a bad attitude; she was deliberately teasing him. Did she want to provoke him even more? She was really hopeless.

Eating the porridge bit by bit, Ruan Yuexi pitifully finished a whole bowl of tasteless porridge that was bitter in her mouth.

“Secretary Fang, is Brother Yao angry? It’s all my fault. I didn’t let Brother Yao sleep well. I should have stayed awake all night yesterday and not disturbed Brother Yao.” Ruan Yuexi lamented inwardly.

Secretary Fang recalled President Shang’s face turning purple with anger when he left. It was more than just not considering it; it seemed President Shang was seriously upset.

“Madam, you’re worrying too much.”

Ruan Yuexi: “…” She glanced at Secretary Fang a few times. She really was like a robot. Forget it. She couldn’t get any points from her. Yesterday, the old man outside the hospital room gave her a point of abuse value.

Silently opening the abuse value system, “19 points?” Ruan Yuexi clearly had only 18 points before going to bed. Could it be that Secretary Fang just defended her?

Looking at Secretary Fang with an expressionless face.

Secretary Fang: “?”

Ruan Yuexi withdrew her gaze speechlessly. It couldn’t be. Maybe the system was delayed.

She had no idea what had happened after she fell asleep last night, let alone what she had done to Shang Yao.

Ruan Yuexi stretched lazily and got out of bed, ready to sneak into the hospital room, but was unexpectedly stopped by Secretary Fang.

“Madam, we’re about to arrange for your discharge. Please don’t wander around.” Secretary Fang blocked Ruan Yuexi’s way.

Ruan Yuexi scratched the back of her head. “So soon? Did the doctor say so?”

Fang Mu nodded, “Apart from needing rest for your hand, everything else is fine. You can go home.”

“Okay then. It’s too tense staying here.” Ruan Yuexi turned around and sat back on the sofa, planning what to do after returning to the villa.

“Oh right, will Brother Yao coming home with me?”
