“You have a superpower too?”

Lin Zhiwei adjusted her glasses, her eyes gleaming as she fixed them on Shen Yi; though she asked, her tone sounded utterly certain.

Shen Yi raised an eyebrow.

This woman seemed to have something going for her.

After nearly being bitten to death, she still showed no fear and even managed to converse calmly with him.

Lin Zhiwei moved closer to Shen Yi and asked, “What superpower is that? You actually managed to immobilize a mutated animal.”

“Besides mutated animals, can you pin down other things, like vehicles or airplanes?”

Shen Yi froze, for he had never considered that question, so he frowned in thought and replied, “I haven’t tried, but it should work.”

He recalled that the description of the Shadow Bind superpower said it could lock any two targets and never specified that the targets had to be living.

That meant that as long as something cast a shadow, even an airplane could be frozen in place.

The more he thought about it, the more awesome Shadow Bind seemed.

Hold on, What exactly was I here to do?

Why was I standing here discussing my superpower with this woman?

Without realizing it, he had been led off track.

Lin Zhiwei gazed quietly at Shen Yi and said without a ripple, “If I had refused your terms earlier, you might have killed me yourself or set Husky free to do it for you.”

“Good that you understand; stop entertaining any little schemes.”

Shen Yi gave a faint smile.

She was a very smart woman.

Therefore, Shen Yi was equally straightforward with her.

Either obey or die.

Shen Yi was no good at intrigue.

“Husky… is that its name?”

Before leaving, Shen Yi glanced at the mutant dog.

“Yes, it’s my pet dog.”

Lin Zhiwei looked at the beast with undisguised pride.

Shen Yi frowned, thinking he must have been seeing things.
