That night, as darkness enveloped the window edges, silence covered the wilderness.
Everyone had the same dream.
The dream was both absurd and real. In it, everything Liang Xue had done in his early years was exposed to the public, and the dream was as vivid as a holographic game.
The world was shocked, everyone was cursing him, and even after waking up the next day, the scenes from the dream remained deeply imprinted in their minds.
Sui Han also had such a dream.
The boy woke up with a slight headache. Jun Qiu’s words from yesterday were still fresh in his mind.
He initially thought those words were about Liang Xue, but now that he thought about it, it didn’t seem like it. Liang Xue wasn’t a good person, so if he never remembered, how could he forget?
So, was he talking about him?
Sui Han received a notification from the organizers early in the morning that the planned initial rounds of competitions had been reduced to one round. In other words, he could take Huan Huan home after the competition tomorrow morning.
Huan Huan’s performance in this competition can be described as gaining many loyal fans. The red little fox won the final round easily and beautifully.
The final round was a talent show; online votes determined the scores.
Everyone had a deep feeling for the little nine-tailed fox, and Huan Huan directly carried the team to victory, winning first place.
Although their strength was average, Bai Bai and Brother Leopard had a lot of fans, especially after the two cooperated, and the fans of both sides worked together towards one goal.
They also won second and third place, respectively.
Sui Han had been home for two days. He uploaded his VLOG and started a live broadcast, waiting for news.
[Sui Sui, Big Banana, and Erguotou must be missing you to death.]
[I’m so jealous of the feeling of being surrounded by cubs]
[Little Fox is asleep again. It loves to sleep so much; it’s a special sleepy student among pets, lol]
Sui Han looked at that message and wanted to roll his eyes.
No.
He didn’t want to be surrounded by cubs.
The mischievous children were treating him like a toy. The little zombie was grabbing his trouser leg with his bald head, trying to climb up, and the little Yingyu was circling in front of him, continuing to perform its excellent bubble-blowing skills.
Only Huan Huan was relatively quiet.
It was lying in his arms, covering its face with its nine tails to block the sunlight, sleeping soundly.
The little zombie saw that its owner was holding Huan Huan and ignoring it, and kept “Hehehe” anxiously, even its little hat fell off.
Sui Han sighed, blowing the stray hair on his forehead to the side, and scooped the little zombie into his arms.
The little zombie happily hugged him and squinted its eyes, falling asleep peacefully in his arms.
Sui Han had always wanted to experience the colors of human life, but he didn’t want to anymore after this long journey. There were too many troublesome things in life, and he felt so tired, especially dealing with those not-so-normal streamers.
Like Bai Bai.
He rolled his eyes every time he saw him. Was he not afraid that they wouldn’t roll back?
“Di Di Di—”
The status bar in the lower right corner of the platform issued a prompt. Sui Han opened the email. It was a notification of winning the VLOG competition.
First place in the pet competition, and most likely the VLOG competition.
Sui Han knew it well.
[Dear streamer Sui Han, first of all, congratulations on becoming the final winner of this VLOG. This news will be updated on the official website later. The champion’s mysterious prize has been sent out and is expected to arrive in 6 hours. Please remember to sign for the gift. Thank you again for your participation and wish you a happy life!]
“What do you think the gift will be?” The boy tilted his head to look at the screen, asking his fans.
These kinds of competitions were held every year, so there must be netizens who have seen previous competitions.
[Tsk, it’s just a gimmick. I remember one year they gave a bonus of 88,888 yuan, which was issued together with the year-end bonus.]
[It seems like they also gave some travel voucher, like a free trip to thirteen countries or something]
[Whether they give money or vouchers, shouldn’t it be done online? Now they’re all electronic vouchers, so why would they be mailed offline?]
[What the person above said makes sense, then I don’t know what it is.]
[6 hours, isn’t that midnight? Just wait and see.]
Sui Han was a little sensitive to the number twelve o’clock, because the strange night dream also started at twelve o’clock.
Why did he remember it so clearly?
In the dream, the bells rang twelve times.
Sui Han touched his stomach. He seemed a little hungry. He ordered takeout anyway, since he had to sleep until after twelve o’clock.
Before long, a McDonald’s hamburger meal was delivered.
Sui Han smelled the fragrant hamburger and happily opened the bag. However, no matter how happy he was, there didn’t seem to be any expression on his face.
“Buzz—”
[Xu Songyan: Sui Han, your old brother has figured it out. I know Huan Huan and I are not meant to be. I won’t force it anymore.]
[Xu Songyan: I’m going to a new film crew to shoot a movie soon, but this time I’m leaving in a hurry and haven’t gotten to see you. What a pity.]
[Xu Songyan: Oh, by the way, let me show you the set design of our film crew. Does it look familiar?]
[Xu Songyan: photo.jpg]
Xu Songyan rambled, ending with a “Isn’t that a coincidence?”
Sui Han took a bite of the hamburger, and Huan Huan and the little zombie woke up smelling the scent.
The little Yingyu was tired of blowing bubbles and had stopped initially on the boy’s shoulder to sleep, but when it smelled the delicious fried chicken hamburger and drooled, it shook its enormous tail and opened its red eyes.
It glanced at the delicious fried chicken hamburger, and its eyeballs almost popped out.
Slurp, it wanted to eat!
Sui Han knew they would be like this.
The boy kindly took out the little zombie’s corn cushion and placed it by the side of the table. He tapped it with one hand, and the little guys immediately sat in a row, waiting to share the food.
Sui Han lowered his head to look at the photos, ignoring them.
Once he zoomed in on the picture, he felt a little unwell.
“This…”
He quickly understood Xu Songyan’s “Isn’t that a coincidence?” The set design was the same as the “Sea Temple” picture!
However, besides the Sea Temple, there seemed to be some unclear things in this set design, like a giant palace floating on the water. The water was black, a deep black.
[Sui Han: Are there any other pictures?]
[Sui Han: Send them all to me, preferably taken by a drone]
[Xu Songyan: Yes]
The excellent movie star sent over dozens of pictures without saying a word. Sui Han opened them one by one and finally found the panoramic view taken by the drone.
“It is a palace…”
In that panoramic view, the Sea Temple only occupied a small part, while the huge palace was supported entirely on the water. The palace was reflected in the black mist, and the top of the main hall emitted a faint white light.
White and black, what exactly… was this place?
Sui Han was about to look closer when he suddenly heard a few soft sounds from the living room.
“Rumble rumble—”
After the rumbling sound, there were some noises, as if many people were talking, one sentence from you, one sentence from me. Their voices seemed wrapped in something, making it impossible to distinguish them clearly.
Sui Han got up and went to the living room to check. The place where Huan Huan was born last time no longer had the figure of the flower, but a box suddenly appeared at this time. The black box emitted white light, surrounded by layers of black mist, similar to the main hall he had just seen in the picture.
When did this thing appear?
He clearly remembered that this thing wasn’t there when he came back.
Sui Han approached step by step, and the noisy sound accompanied by screams came from inside. The boy stopped and listened carefully. Then, he heard the prayers of the people.
The voices came from different places, mixed, whether in ancient times, the future, the distant frontiers, or the vast and endless universe…
Sui Han fell into deep thought.
Just as he was about to reach out and open the box, it suddenly disappeared.
The pitch-black edges, the trace of white light in the black mist, and the indifferent, miserable, and eerie feeling made him feel increasingly familiar.
Sui Han closed his eyes and recalled the sounds he had just heard.
“God, please take me out of hell.”
“God, I am buried deep in the sea, living with the abyss. I want to step out of the abyss. Please allow me to step out of this cold abyss.”
“God, please give me light, and take me away from this difficult night’s endless darkness!”
“God…”
“…”
It seemed that someone was trapped somewhere. When Sui Han opened his eyes, he came to this conclusion.
The boy was about to turn around and return to his room when the place where the box disappeared suddenly began to take root and sprout. The scene that had only appeared in his dreams in the past now miraculously appeared before his eyes.
The floor in the living room gradually disappeared, replaced by layers of thick clouds.
The giant flower stem spread and grew among the myriad flowers. This time, the flower did not form a bud, but opened directly. In the petals, a golden bird spread its wings as if to fly, but when it saw Sui Han, it suddenly retracted its wings.
Sui Han knew strange beasts from the Classic of Mountains and Seas.
He could recognize that this was a Bifang bird cub, and like the nine-tailed fox, it also grew in a flower.
Sui Han frowned.
Why were the prayers this time so mixed, chaotic, and numerous? Why didn’t the believers appear this time? Why wasn’t this happening in a dream?
He seemed to be unable to digest what he was seeing.
This was too strange.
But Sui Han still stretched his head to look at the name of the Bifang bird. The golden letters were printed on the petals.
[Bifang]
Oh-. –
Sui Han couldn’t refuse the new cub. He reached out, and the small Bifang flew into his palm.
Two minutes later, there was an extra visitor on the corn cushion. The little Bifang was arrogant, flapping its golden wings, and directly grabbed a bag of chicken nuggets.
The little zombie looked at it in shock, and its fist hardened.
The little Yingyu and Huan Huan were also not very satisfied. The new kid was disobedient and dared to steal food?
Beat it up!
So, the four little pets started a pecking war on the table, kicking the good food into a mess.
Sui Han picked out a few things that hadn’t been affected, ran back to his room, locked the door, and ate quietly. After eating his fill and sleeping, he contacted the fan who bought the cubs after he woke up.
Six million was negotiable…
When the twelve o’clock alarm rang, Sui Han reluctantly got up. He didn’t dream tonight, but he could probably guess.
Things might be coming to an end soon.
His secret was not far from being revealed.
Sui Han pushed open the door and saw a huge package at the door. He didn’t turn on the light, but used the moonlight to open the box. He was the only one in this space, so he squatted in the hallway to unpack it.
The package was opened, and inside was a golden egg.
An egg?!
Sui Han was wary. Just as he was about to put the package back on, the eggshell broke by itself.
Rattle rattle—
Sui Han didn’t have time to glue the eggshell back together. His eyelids twitched, and he saw a little mermaid cub crawling out of the eggshell. The mermaid cub had a tiger-like head and two big, cute eyes.
The pupils were blue, and the tail scales were shimmering blue.
The mermaid cub “whoosh” flew into its owner’s arms, happily beside itself, with a pair of chubby little hands, hugging Sui Han and rubbing against him affectionately.
He had to contact that netizen and sell it for six hundred thousand as soon as possible.
Sell it as a package deal!
And the organizer had to contact them, too. This cub that popped out of the egg had to be returned!
Return it!!
Sui Han was going crazy.
He tore the mermaid cub off himself, then stuffed it back into the eggshell, but it shook its blue tail and flew out again, pouting at him in protest.
“…”
Sui Han tried to teach it, “No, you don’t want to go home with me.”
The mermaid cub shouted and began to drop small pearls with a crackling sound. The poor little thing held its little face and wagged its tail at its owner.
“…”
“Pfft—Not sleeping in the middle of the night, it’s quite lively here.”
Sui Han raised his eyes vigilantly and saw Jun Qiu walking out of the elevator. The person who had just spoken was Jun Qiu, the white-clothed youth in the stands at the competition.
“What are you doing here?”
No.
He should ask, How could you come to my space?
