A God’s Side Hustle is Raising Cubs on Livestream Chapter 4

Sui Han was tired of standing, so he found the sofa and sat down, pointing to himself, his face still showing surprise. “Are you worshiping me?”

The person kneeling seemed to hear his voice and quickly looked up, but even as he looked up, he didn’t dare to look him directly in the eye, as if afraid that God would blame him.

The believer carefully answered Sui Han , “Yes, God.”

Sui Han sighed softly. He was becoming more and more accepting of this magical world.

Could it be that he really had transmigrated into a god?

Or a… bored god who liked to livestream and raise cubs when he had nothing else to do?

The boy’s light eyes looked at the believer in the middle of the flowers. Although the living room wasn’t big, looking at him like this gave him the illusion that he could see for miles.

It was as if the person hadn’t come to his territory, but was praying to him in his own home.

“What troubles do you have? Tell me about it.”

Sui Han asked softly. He was also curious about what would happen next. The boy crossed his long legs, noticing the white mist gathering under his feet with a slight glance.

Like standing on a cloud, the mist couldn’t be brushed away or dispersed.

The boy’s heart stirred, and he reached to pinch his wrist. There was no pain. He could roughly guess that everything in front of him might be a dream.

He was a god who accepted the prayers of believers in his dreams.

The believer bowed his head and told him about what he’d been through.

As he listened, Sui Han also sized up his appearance. The believer was in his forties, wearing a white outfit like a chef’s uniform. The chef’s hat on his head was especially obvious.

What surprised him even more was that the hat had a line of words printed on it that he was very familiar with—

  Fat Uncle’s BBQ.

So this was the legendary Fat Uncle, living up to his name. He was fat and good-natured.

After Fat Uncle finished talking, Sui Han sorted through it and understood.

Fat Uncle’s BBQ wasn’t as popular as it seemed. Recently, several customers had reported having nightmares after eating his BBQ.

At first, Fat Uncle thought this was jealousy from his competitors, deliberately spreading rumors, because the whole thing sounded so absurd that no one could believe it.

If they said they had diarrhea after eating the BBQ, he might be responsible. Maybe there was something wrong with the meat that made the customers sick. He would check the orders and make sure to compensate them.

But nightmares?

What was the connection between that and the BBQ?

But when more and more people came to complain, he had no choice. He tried to call the police, but it was no use.

Because even the police officers thought the nightmares were a coincidence and had nothing to do with eating BBQ.

Fat Uncle believed in God, so he prayed sincerely.

Sui Han became a little curious about this. After all, he’d been here for a day, and other than Erguotou and Big Banana, there wasn’t a single person he could talk to.

The boy sat up straight, a faint smile on his cold lips. “I can help you solve this.”

He just said it without thinking, but didn’t expect something strange to happen.

Sui Han saw a bright red seed fly out of Fat Uncle’s body when he agreed to the believer’s request. The seed fell into the flowers and soon grew into a small bud.

The boy stood up in surprise, walked over to the flower bud briefly, and reached out to touch it. It felt soft.

As smooth as a baby’s skin.

The flower bud was enveloped in a mysterious light, as if it were nurturing something extraordinary.

When Sui Han turned back, Fat Uncle was gone.

Where the believer had been kneeling, there was a small sign. The sign only had one line of address:

Fat Uncle’s BBQ, 388 Wanhua Road, Shanhai City, Di Xing.

Sui Han woke up from his dream, and the disturbing floral scent hadn’t dissipated.

The boy thought of the strange dream and immediately got out of bed, pushing open the door to the living room.

Under the warm sunlight, a flower bud was floating in the corner of the living room, and the wooden sign was hanging on it.

Sui Han reached out to pick it up and weighed it in his hand. It was indeed Fat Uncle’s shop address.

The little zombie had slept enough and seemed panicked because he couldn’t find his master. Sui Han heard a few “thump thump” footsteps and saw the little zombie wearing a small pajama, squeezing out from the crack in the door.

The kid rubbed his eyes and sighed in relief when he saw Sui Han.

Such a clingy thing.

Sui Han’s lips curved up lazily.

After the boy quickly washed up, he returned to the living room. He reached out to take the wooden sign and tossed it.

He thoughtfully picked up the little zombie and put it on his shoulder.

“Ding—”

The elevator stopped on the first floor with a hum, and the doors slowly opened. When Sui Han stepped out, he smelled the scent of human life.

On the road, traffic was flowing, and car horns were honking.

The hurried pedestrians carrying buns were walking on the road while checking their watches and returning customer calls. Everything was in order, like a new beginning.

Sui Han stepped onto the sidewalk and looked around, suddenly understanding.

So, to return to the everyday world, there had to be a believer’s prayer. Sui Han stuffed the sign back into his pocket, a hint of warmth in his eyes.

Let’s go.

The god could finally descend to Earth.
