A God’s Side Hustle is Raising Cubs on Livestream Chapter 5

Sui Han strolled down the street with the zombie kid, occasionally catching glances from people.

At first, he thought everyone was looking at the little zombie.

Until he went into a breakfast shop—

“Welcome to Good Again Congee! What would you like to eat? Besides our signature century egg and lean pork congee, seafood casserole congee, and mushroom and beef congee, we also have soup dumplings and rice noodle rolls.”

Sui Han was overwhelmed by the long list and didn’t know what to choose.

All of these foods sounded unfamiliar. Sui Han tried to find the original owner’s memories, but the memories were blank again.

These memories that came and went were frustrating. The boy turned and looked at the zombie kid sitting obediently on his shoulder. “What do you want to eat?”

The shop assistant was startled and looked around, then hesitantly asked Sui Han, “Little friend… who are you talking to?”

“L-little friend?” Sui Han’s calm gaze flickered.

The shop assistant blushed awkwardly. “Y-you look like you’re only seventeen or eighteen. Or… I can call you big friend.”

Sui Han was speechless. He didn’t know how old he was.

Other than when he looked in the mirror while showering, he hadn’t really thought about this issue.

But if the original owner was really a god, then he should probably be thousands of years old, right?

He didn’t dwell on it and looked at the little zombie. The little zombie was fiddling with his fingers, seeming not to understand the shop assistant’s recommendations, but he still obediently held up one finger.

His master had asked for his opinion, so he had to respond.

Sui Han understood. “Then we’ll have two signature century eggs and lean pork congees, please.”

The boy’s voice was cold, which seemed out of place with his appearance.

But the shop assistant didn’t ask any more questions. She just nodded silently and went to the kitchen with the menu. Sui Han watched her leave, understanding.

It seemed that, other than him, no one else could see his pet.

Sui Han took the little zombie off his shoulder and put it on the table. The little zombie covered his red face and squatted down, waiting obediently for food.

“You’re behaving yourself now that you’re out here,” Sui Han said.

Ever since the little zombie had left the building with him, all he had done was cling to his shoulder and look around, unlike when he was at home, when he was always trying to stick to him.

The kid understood his praise and immediately stood up, giving him a gentlemanly bow.

His waist was so thin that the boy could hook it with one finger.

Sui Han wondered why this little thing was doing this, and the little zombie pointed to the TV in the front.

An unknown drama was playing on TV. The pianist had just finished playing and bowed to the audience like this.

The boy’s lips curved up. The little guy was also a master of imitation.

The shop assistant quickly brought over two bowls of century egg and lean pork congee, and the two of them slurped it up. Sui Han tasted it and thought it was pretty good. He glanced at the little zombie, and the little guy wiggled his butt at him, clearly enjoying the meal.

It was past the breakfast rush, so he was the only customer in the shop.

Sui Han moved the chopsticks holder over to block the other bowl of congee, so the shop assistant wouldn’t see the bowl gradually emptying and be afraid that she couldn’t see the zombie kid drinking the congee.

After breakfast, Sui Han took the little zombie to Fat Uncle’s BBQ.

This time, the scene before him was completely different from the other day. The surrounding area was lined with shops, and tables and chairs were stacked in front of the BBQ shop.

Clearly, Fat Uncle’s family ran a food stall at night.

Sui Han saw that the opening hours were noon and evening and considered it seriously. “There are more people at night. Let’s go look around somewhere else first.”

A god who thought everything was new and a little zombie who thought everything was interesting. The two of them wandered around the neighborhood all day. Sui Han thought being in a place with human life was better.

When evening came, Sui Han appeared in front of the BBQ shop.

The moon and stars were shining, and there were a few lonely clouds in the sky, but the BBQ shop wasn’t doing well. There were only a few tables outside, and they hadn’t ordered much.

Sui Han stood at the door for a while, and a chubby uncle came out to greet him. “Hello, hello, is it just you?”

The boy looked at him without moving. The person before him was the believer, Fat Uncle, who had prayed to him last night.

But the other person didn’t seem to recognize him.

Sui Han was a little disappointed.

He wanted to chat with the uncle, and even though he was cold and didn’t like to talk, he still had a lot of questions he wanted to ask.

But it made sense. When believers told their troubles to God, they didn’t have much hope. Objectively speaking, this action was just an expectation of the believers, and they didn’t think that God would have time to care about them.

“One person,” Sui Han nodded coldly and followed Fat Uncle to his seat.

The seat was in the corner, close to the door of the next shop, but it had its advantages. He could see the whole shop.

Sui Han ordered some things from the menu, and then, meeting the little zombie’s hopeful gaze, he asked, “Do you have grilled bananas?”

When Fat Uncle heard this, he said warmly, “Yes, we do. Grilled bananas aren’t on the menu. I usually give them to customers who order takeout. Have you ordered takeout from us before? I’ll grill one for you later.”

“Okay,” Sui Han responded, and Fat Uncle took the menu and went inside.

Sui Han was bored and propped his chin up, looking around.

The boy sat upright in his chair, his face pale, his eyes light, and the bangs on his forehead fell, covering his eyebrows. Although he had no expression, he gave people the illusion of being high above and untouchable.

This made others not dare to look at him for too long, only stopping for a few seconds before quickly looking away.

The grilled banana came up first, and the little zombie came over with a big spoon, sitting on the edge of the plate with his legs crossed, eating the banana meat.

“Is it that good?” Sui Han frowned.

The little zombie immediately turned to look at him, his watery eyes a little wet from the heat. He scratched his head as if he understood the boy’s question.

He immediately grinned, his teeth white, with a bit of banana stuck to them.

Sui Han was intrigued and picked up a bit of fruit to taste. Just as he was about to put it in his mouth, he saw a group of men and women coming to the BBQ shop.

The group looked angry, their lips drooping. Clearly, they were here to cause trouble.
