A-Level Pursuit
A-Level Pursuit chapter 49

“General, are you alright?” Vincent witnessed everything from a distance and couldn’t help but feel shocked.

Mo Xin shook his head and instructed, “Find a house in the eastern suburbs of San Lorenzo. It doesn’t need to be too big, but safety and secrecy are most important. Get it arranged before we return.”

“Understood.”

With Reinis’s eyes everywhere around the villa, Vincent was already looking for a new, less noticed residence.

However, to avoid all surveillance and find a house, Vincent couldn’t directly intervene, so it would still take some effort.

Mo Xin wandered around the Faro region for two days. Once all the negotiation paperwork was completed and signed, he made an excuse to return to Danga State ahead of time and left.

But instead of going back to Danga State, he changed course halfway, avoiding alerting anyone, and secretly returned to San Lorenzo.

He took various modes of transportation, disguised himself as a young wanderer new to the city, and accidentally stumbled into the slums of the eastern suburbs of San Lorenzo, “Paradise.”

He wandered aimlessly through one dirty and chaotic alley after another.

Finally, taking advantage of the thick night, he darted into a haphazard shantytown.

With agile movements, he climbed onto the roof of a wooden shack. Like an elegant Persian cat, he stepped on the moonlight scattered on the roof, silently crossing this interconnected area. Then, with a leap, he grabbed onto the windowsill of the building opposite.

The window was not locked but left slightly open.

Mo Xin gently pushed it open, flipped inside, and as soon as his feet touched the ground, his whole body was horizontally embraced.

“Mm…” A fervent kiss followed, capturing his breath.

“You’re quite daring.”

Mo Xin was thrown onto the bed, and as he tried to prop himself up with one arm, Liang Qiuchi pressed his shoulder back down.

As Liang Qiuchi took off his clothes, he asked, “Why use the window when there’s a door?”

“When did you find out? Have you been waiting by the window the whole time?” Mo Xin cooperatively raised his hips, allowing him to remove his pants.

“Someone told me when you entered the ‘Paradise’ district,” Liang Qiuchi answered as he gave Mo Xin’s ass a slap, warning, “Don’t do this next time. What if someone didn’t recognize you and ended up hurting you?”

Mo Xin hugged his neck, pulling him onto himself. “Weren’t you also sneaking through the window to watch me?”

Liang Qiuchi was taken aback. “How did you know?”

Asking that question, he guessed the answer. Pei Ji must have told him.

Mo Xin was curious about how Liang Qiuchi managed to persuade Pei Ji to abandon the negotiation conditions and reconcile with the federation in just a few minutes.

“It’s actually quite simple,” Liang Qiuchi explained. “I told him that the first step in pursuing autonomy is to remove the illegal armed label. Only by obtaining the federal military establishment and a legal recognition letter can Lugo proceed to stabilize its footing.”

“And he accepted?”

“Yeah,” Liang Qiuchi didn’t want to discuss other men while being naked with him, so he reminded Mo Xin again, “Next time, no climbing through windows. It’s too dangerous.”

“Why can you climb then?” Mo Xin mentioned the incident last year when he was shot and returned home to recover. “That day, I felt like the window had been tampered with, but my brother insisted it was just my imagination. Turns out, it was really you.”

Liang Qiuchi nodded. “It was me.”

“How long were you watching me?” Mo Xin asked.

“Two minutes,” Liang Qiuchi kissed his forehead. “I didn’t dare stay longer, afraid I wouldn’t want to leave.”

Mo Xin’s Adam’s apple moved up and down. “Was it worth getting arrested for those two minutes?”

Liang Qiuchi smiled, “No regrets,” then corrected himself, “Well, maybe a little.”

The room was not lit, but through the moonlight, Liang Qiuchi could still see that Mo Xin’s face looked somewhat unpleasant at that moment.

He lowered his head and lightly pecked Mo Xin’s cheek, sighing, “My phone was damaged when I was arrested, and there was a very important photo inside, my first love.”

Mo Xin responded indifferently, “Oh.”

Liang Qiuchi’s kisses fell on Mo Xin’s cheeks and chin like raindrops, avoiding his lips. “That photo was the first time he smiled at me, a bit shy but very beautiful, the kind of beauty that never gets old.”

Mo Xin hooked his neck and asked, “What else?”

Liang Qiuchi thought for a moment and said, “That photo was exchanged for a special breakfast, it holds a very special meaning.”

“Mm,” Mo Xin replied, taking the initiative to kiss his lips. “That breakfast was also very special to me.”

“Was it delicious?” Liang Qiuchi asked him.

Mo Xin nodded. “I’ve always remembered it.”

Liang Qiuchi lifted one of his legs, placing it over his shoulder, then leaned down to kiss Mo Xin’s ankle. “Now, I’ll give you something else to remember.”

Mo Xin opened his legs, devoutly welcoming his arrival.

Outside the window, neon lights began to sway, and a long string of police sirens suddenly sounded at the street corner, piercing the night and drowning out all the moans and whispers, then gradually fading away.

As the first wave of waves surged onto the coastline of a distant sea, the moon hanging high in the night sky moved over Mo Xin’s head, freely scattering the first handful of pure moonlight onto his thirsty lips.

When Liang Qiuchi penetrated again, Mo Xin felt like he was split in half just like this contradictory city.

For Liang Qiuchi, he could give up the bustling lights of half the city and blend into this dilapidated neighborhood.

Perhaps one day, they would wander to the end of the wilderness together, stopping to rest when tired, letting the stars witness their romantic rendezvous.

“What are you thinking about?” Liang Qiuchi noticed his distraction and lightly bit his shoulder.

Mo Xin expressed his thoughts, and Liang Qiuchi couldn’t help but chuckle when he heard them. “Didn’t you want to be a pirate and rule the high seas before? Now you want to switch to being a wanderer. Isn’t that a bit drastic?”

Mo Xin also smiled, “I just said I wanted to see the sea. Who said I wanted to be a pirate?”

“You said, ‘If you can’t beat them, join them.’ Are you trying to deny it?”

“It was just a joke, how do you still remember?”

“I remember everything you say very clearly.”

“Is that so?” Mo Xin paused, looking into Liang Qiuchi’s eyes. “Did I ever say ‘I love you’?”

Liang Qiuchi tightened his arms around him. “Mo Xin, we don’t need to say these things.” Then he planted an extremely affectionate kiss between Mo Xin’s eyebrows, speaking softly as if sighing, “And also, I love you very much.”

Mo Xin felt satisfied.

Liang Qiuchi hugged him and walked to the window. The two embraced each other, their foreheads touching, swaying gently under the moonlight.

They enjoyed this moment of tranquility immensely.

After a long time, Mo Xin asked him again, “Ge, do you think it will come true?”

“Will what come true? Becoming a pirate or wandering?” Liang Qiuchi smiled as he gently stroked his back.

Mo Xin lightly bumped his forehead against Liang Quichi’s, continuing his playful questioning, “Either, will it come true?”

“It will,” Liang Qiuchi assured him gently, “Everything you want to do, we will achieve one by one.”

Mo Xin repeated, as if confirming his answer, “Together?”

“Yes,” Liang Qiuchi said solemnly, “Together.”
