A Passerby, but ends up meeting the Protagonist through a Blind Date Chapter 32: Qin Shi, can you do me a favour…?

Chapter 32 – “Qin Shi, can you do me a favour…?”

The way Mum instantly decided her “boyfriend” had to be Qin Shi left Li Huan‑huan no room to refute.
For now she simply nodded to keep Su Mei calm, promising herself she would straighten things out with Qin Shi the moment she got home.

Night at No. 150

When she hurried back it was already close to ten.
Breathless, she raised her hand to knock—just as the door swung open and a head of flaming‑red hair appeared.

“Eh? Huan‑huan‑jie?”
Hu Xun, arms full of takeaway, blinked at her. Inside the flat half a dozen of Qin Shi’s teammates were holding an impromptu party.

Before she could retreat Qin Shi appeared behind Hu Xun, heard that Su Mei was stable, and pulled her toward the study where it was quiet.

Two requests collide

Standing among gaming posters and the ever‑happy husky Shao‑kao, both of them hesitated.

Huan‑huan’s heart pounded: I have to ask him to pretend to be my boyfriend, at least until Mum stops worrying.

But Qin Shi spoke first, clearly embarrassed:

“I… need a little help.
One of the girls out there—long hair, green dress—Sa‑sa’s friend—has been clinging to me all night.
She won’t take ‘no’.
If she thinks I already have a girlfriend, she’ll back off.
…Would you mind pretending—just for tonight?”

Huan‑huan stared. What are the odds?
Exactly the same favour she needed from him!

Seeing her silence, Qin Shi added sourly, “You helped Fox before—am I worth less than him?”

She rubbed her forehead, then smiled.

“Actually, I was about to ask you to play the very same role—for my mum.
Let’s help each other?”

Qin Shi’s anxious frown flipped into a relieved grin.
Deal struck.

Terms agreed

  1. Party Mission – Huan‑huan will hold Qin Shi’s hand, let the others witness some gentle couple‑like interaction until the clingy guest gives up.
  2. Family Mission – Tomorrow Qin Shi will accompany her to the hospital, meet Su Mei briefly and play the considerate boyfriend.

“Only for a short while,” she emphasised. “Once Mum’s mood improves we’ll ‘break up’ peacefully.”

Qin Shi’s eyes darkened an instant—then he nodded.
“Understood. Tonight we act; tomorrow I’ll go with you.”

He offered his hand.
Huan‑huan placed hers in his; Shao‑kao circled their legs, tail whirring.

Outside the door Hu Xun’s voice rose: “Sa‑sa, you can’t go into Ge’s study, that’s private—”

The door opened; the long‑haired girl peeked in.
She saw Qin Shi gently tug Huan‑huan closer and heard him say, with perfect calm:

“Sorry—just talking with my girlfriend.”

Mission #1, start!
