The somewhat challenging ennoblement celebration party had finally ended.

In life, you are bound to have things to do. There will be no end to it if you’re willing to keep yourself busy. However, I believe the key to live a fulfilling life is by finding time for yourself.

This applied to me not only when I was only a business owner but even after I had become a noble. Things wouldn’t change. I would do my best in my duty but I wouldn’t become a workaholic. I would never let myself get carried away by work, so much so that I ended up neglecting my family and made Yurina-san fall out of love with me.

Therefore, I decided to make the day before and after the ennoblement day as an annual holiday for my store.

I also have a lot of things I want to try making so for today, I’m planning to hole myself up in the workshop.

After double checking that the door sign to the store had been flipped to ‘closed’,  I saw Chatra coming to the store with a blue wolf cub that he had recently tamed. The blue wolf cub’s name was Blue-chan (a female).

“Hoam…. Good morning, Boss..”

“Woof! Woof!”

“It’s good that you’re filled with passion for your job but today is a day off, you know?”

I told him just to be safe but of course Chatra knew about it. He came because he wanted to observe me as I did my blacksmithing work.

Also, Blue-chan (a female) somehow became attached to Chatra, probably because Chatra had been wearing the Blue Brigade membership mark. It was a bracelet made from Blue Wolf’s fur. Coincidentally, the one Chatra had was made using Ash’s fur sewn onto it.) After Chatra started wearing that bracelet, the blue wolf cub that used to play with Ash somehow became attached to Chatra as well.

And so, Chatra had also begun taking care of the wolf’s parents. The blue wolves worked for me as a security guard for my store.

By the way, a new policy had been implemented in this town. Ever since the blue wolves had joined us in the fight against monsters at the South Gate, the town allowed blue wolves to come in and leave the town as long as the wolves were properly registered as tamed monsters.

Now then, let’s start making some weapons and armor using the materials obtained from our fight with the Kobold King.

I lit up the furnace and arranged the monster materials and iron ingots on the table. Chatra and Blue-chan (a female) were watching me with sparkling eyes.

First, I need to appraise the new materials.

Currently, my blacksmith was at level 7, thanks to all the things I had created. After making sure the furnace was at the right temperature, I melted precious iron ingots together with Kobold King’s Fang. The fang and the iron turned into flaming hot red and I began mixing the two materials together.

First, I only made the necessary amount of King Steel for myself. I started shaping the newly acquired steel into various pieces like a longsword, shield and armor.

“Hey, Chatra. Don’t just stand there. Come here, help me out.”

“Yes!!”

I asked Chatra to organize the things I had made and the materials I had used while I worked on refining and improving the stuff that were still rough and unsatisfactory to my standard.

I still had some merman scales lying around so I crushed the scales and mixed them with femto grinding stone and brushed the Kobold King set with the mixture to add Fire Resistance (small) to the Kobold King set.

And so, the result of today’s work was….

The Hellfire Sword I had been using had 25 attack and the Hellhound Buckler had 16 defense. The light armor equipment that I had purchased from Margo, which included Light Armor, Light Gauntlet and Light Greave only had around 37 defense. It was obvious to see that the Kobold King set was much stronger than the one I used now.
