Chapter 257
ーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーーー
Entering Bavarian-sama’s mansion for the first time after two days without going there, I was immediately led to Bavarian-sama’s office. In that room, there was His Majesty Guernika, Bavarian-sama and to my surprise, Baron Alpendre. Somehow, I had a feeling that I might have forgotten something but I couldn’t remember what.
“Good day!”
I greeted cheerfully with a smile on my face while bowing in 90 degree. It was important to show proper etiquette in front of other nobles and kings. I could end up in trouble if I failed to do so.
After that, I fully opened the window in the office and laid out the dangerous poison I had created along with the equipment made from Kobold King materials.
I handed a copy of the appraisal result to His Majesty and Bavarian-sama who were looking intently at my new creations. Suddenly, they let out a loud yell. Their eyes became bloodshot as they stared hard at the paper and the items on the table alternately. They began inspecting each item thoroughly, as if they were trying to savor each little details.
On the other hand, Baron Alpendre was trembling slightly, his eyes glistening with unshed tears as he drew nearer to me.
“You’re too cruel!”
He began shouting all kinds of words.
“Ah! Right… I forgot about it…”
While pacifying the agitated Baron Alpendre, I asked Jill-san, who was standing behind us, to bring the materials and tools I needed to make Egil Recovery Potion. I wrote down the list on a piece of paper for him.
After that, some sort of royal alchemist, I couldn’t catch his name. Something-san? Anyway, Something-san came to appraise the poison and he immediately became flabbergasted from surprise. Then, some sort of royal knight captain or something came to inspect the Kobold King equipment. The captain also left similarly astonished as the royal alchemist. It was quite a commotion.
Then, while Jill-san’s subordinate went to fetch the materials I needed to make potion, I put on the Kobold King equipment and did a little demonstration, just like the one I did at the Commercial Guild. I even did a mock battle with the help of Donny-san.
Donny-san and the Captain of the Royal Knight Something-san seemed greatly interested in Kobold King equipment.
Ah, right. I just remember…
“I have enough materials to create one more set of this equipment. Anyone want it?”
I conveyed that with a mix of gestures and everyone’s eyes practically lit up like an enraged red bulls. However, it seemed everyone could still read the situations despite their excitement. Everyone yielded and let His Majesty Guernika have it.
Then, it was decided that I would be crafting another set of Kobold King equipment for His Majesty for 9000 gold coins.
Also, it seemed like the royal alchemist Something-san shouted something along the lines of…
“This dangerous poison should be managed by the national treasury!”
He was yelling so desperately but, he remembered that I was a Baron now so he gingerly backed down.
While all of this commotion was happening, Jill-san’s subordinate finally arrived with the material to create Egil Recovery Potion from my store’s warehouse.

T/N: When MC describes the process of making potion, it sounds so simple… Maybe now we can finally see the POV from a normal person?

Farewell to the sweet, innocent life in the cafe and forge. The truth is that if you step out in front of the line, there will always be someone to put you down. Like in this joke:
A father says to his son:
– Johnny. You are going to school. Remember to pretend to be an idiot. You’ll see how happy they’ll be that you’re “making progress.”
