Chapter 4: What’s It Got to Do with You?

“Hey~ Qin Wen, what a coincidence.” Someone came over to greet him.

Sun Kaining, in white sneakers and a tracksuit, looked completely out of place among the black-clad security guards at the entrance, like a student who had wandered in by mistake. His features were bold, and his smile was as dazzling as the sun, seemingly harmless. In reality, he was Chi Han’s good friend. Although his pheromone level might not be as high as Chi Han’s, he was not to be underestimated. It was said that once, during a conflict, he overturned an entire room of Alphas.

There is a pheromone hierarchy among Alphas, and lower-level Alphas can never compete with higher-level ones.

“What a coincidence.” Qin Wen had never truly integrated into Chi Han’s circle. He knew that many people laughed at him, but Sun Kaining was an exception; he had always been quite friendly.

“Are you here for a gathering?” Qin Wen asked softly.

“Something like that, Xu Yangcheng is hosting.” Sun Kaining was still unaware of Chi Han and Qin Wen’s divorce. To be precise, Chi Han hadn’t told anyone. He was animated as he said, “Hey, Chi Han will be here soon. Want to join us?”

A familiar scent of cedar wafted in with the cool breeze, and Qin Wen instinctively tensed up. He looked past Sun Kaining to see the familiar figure he expected.

Almost instantly, Chi Han looked up.

Qin Wen hurriedly averted his gaze, nodding slightly to Sun Kaining, “I have another dinner, some business to discuss. I’ll head up first.”

“Alright!” Sun Kaining replied, only then noticing Chi Han approaching. He pointed to the restaurant, “Qin Wen just went in. I really admire him. An Omega managing the family business so well, if it weren’t for the confirmed secondary gender, I’d suspect he was an Alpha. He’s so smart.”

Chi Han didn’t refute this. Qin Wen was indeed a rare rational Omega. He knew how to assess the situation and maximize benefits, a trait that set him apart from many Alphas.

“Why do you always have such a strained relationship with him?” Sun Kaining sighed at Chi Han’s expressionless face, unable to help but offer some heartfelt advice, “Qin Wen is really quite good. I have no interest in those delicate and soft male Omegas; just thinking about it gives me goosebumps. Qin Wen is like a breath of fresh air, and he’s not bad-looking either.”

Chi Han ignored Sun Kaining and walked into the restaurant on his own.

The middle-aged man was named Li Changpeng. Before sitting down, he had already scrutinized Qin Wen, ending with a chuckle, masking his true emotions.

If there’s anything unsuitable, we can revise it.”

Today was essentially a meeting between the main parties, as the specifics had been settled beforehand. So Li Changpeng had little opinion on the matter; he was just there to humiliate Qin Wen, because Qin Wen was Chi Han’s Omega.

These people couldn’t win against Chi Han in the Alpha domain, so they could only step on Qin Wen to experience a different kind of thrill.

“Here, have a drink first.” Li Changpeng handed Qin Wen a glass of red wine with a smile.

Pregnant Omegas should avoid alcohol.

Qin Wen stood up, took the glass but didn’t drink. He wasn’t feeling well, and Li Changpeng’s pheromones almost enveloped him, making his whole body ache. “Mr. Li.” Qin Wen had a layer of cold sweat on his forehead, “I’m not in good health lately, not suitable for drinking.”

“Oh~” Li Changpeng feigned a sudden realization, “I forgot, Mr. Qin is an Omega.”

Qin Wen pursed his lips, his eyes slightly red, like a sudden flash of a fish swimming past Li Changpeng’s heart. He couldn’t help but take a serious look at Qin Wen. Indeed, such a cool-tempered Omega was rare, and he caught a faint scent of mint.

At this moment, the sweet pheromones of other Omegas suddenly seemed uninteresting. Li Changpeng walked around the table to Qin Wen, looking at that jade-like face, his heartbeat gradually quickening, reaching out a hand, “Mr. Qin, isn’t it lonely being alone?”

Qin Wen was startled, realizing only then that in a moment of distraction, Li Changpeng had gotten so close!

“What’s it got to do with you?” A low, magnetic voice, like crushed ice, interrupted, and the decorative screen between the dining room and the entrance shattered with a crash, cold air sweeping in.

Li Changpeng’s expression changed abruptly, while Qin Wen seemed to find salvation, letting out a shallow breath.

Chi Han’s pheromones formed a protective barrier around Qin Wen, otherwise, the aggressive nature of them would have made him lose consciousness instantly.

Qin Wen swayed slightly, and then a hand appeared at his waist. Chi Han stood sideways, blocking Qin Wen from Li Changpeng, the two almost in an intimate posture. The man’s warm lips brushed past Qin Wen’s ear, and the soothing pheromones penetrated his gland.

It was like being reborn.
