Chapter 11
Luo Wan’s lips curled coldly.
These people really know how to flatter. Ever since she entered the Luo family two months ago, it seems like these people don’t see her as a legitimate lady.
Either they are helping that mother and daughter duo scheme behind her back, or they act like they are now.
Before, she didn’t see clearly what kind of people this family was. She endured for the sake of family harmony, but it only made things worse. Now even the servants dare to bully her.
Luo Wan stood up and went directly to the group of servants.
The others were all fine, keeping their heads down and not daring to make a sound.
Only one girl named Rui Sisi still showed no fear.
Facing Luo Wan’s gaze, “Miss, we’re just telling the truth.”
Luo Wan remembered that this girl seemed to be Rui Tianfeng’s niece, and had been working here for two years. She often bullied others by virtue of her relationship.
Very well.
Since she wanted to teach someone a lesson, she might as well pick a typical example.
This person came forward on her own, saving her the trouble of finding a reason.
Luo Wan narrowed her eyes and then slapped Rui Sisi’s face.
Rui Sisi was knocked to the ground by the force of the slap, her face quickly swelling up.
Everything happened so suddenly that the people in the living room didn’t react.
After being slapped, Rui Sisi felt humiliated.
Unable to care about anything else, she struggled to get up and retaliate.
But Luo Wan’s movements were faster. Just as she was about to get up, another slap landed on the other side of her face.
Rui Sisi fell to the ground again.
“Rui Sisi, isn’t it?”
Luo Wan slowly bent down, her eyes carrying an unprecedented fierceness.
“If you’re here to acknowledge your relatives, go find your family.” With that, she glanced at Rui Tianfeng.
Then she continued, “But if you’re here to work, these two slaps are to teach you how to be a good subordinate, don’t gossip recklessly.”
Luo Wan, with a disdainful huff, clapped her hands before leisurely returning to the sofa.
Feeling wronged, Rui Sisi intended to seek justice from Rui Tianfeng.
However, she received a warning glare from the latter and could only grit her teeth and glare viciously at Luo Wan.
In fact, Rui Tianfeng understood Luo Wan’s intentions very well.
Wasn’t it just to use Rui Sisi to humiliate her?
Normally, Rui Tianfeng would have said a few words about it. But today, they needed this stubborn girl to offer herself willingly, so they couldn’t afford to provoke her.
Rui Sisi could only swallow all her grievances with tears.
“Now that the commotion is over and she’s been dealt with, shouldn’t the anger be gone?” Luo Minghui timely spoke up, trying to sound reasonable and amiable. Then he proceeded with moral coercion.
“The situation at the company is dire now.”
“Only President Zhang is willing to invest, and now President Zhang specifically requests you. This is again the company created by your mother’s own hands. As her daughter, you should contribute your share.”
Upon hearing this, Luo Wan sneered and glanced around at Rui Tianfeng and her daughter.
“Indeed, it’s said to be my mother’s company, but if I solve the company’s crisis, will it still be for someone else’s benefit in the end?”
Luo Wan’s implications were too obvious, and Luo Rui couldn’t bear to listen anymore. She wanted to argue, but was stopped by Rui Tianfeng and had to give up.
Luo Minghui watched his wife being wronged, feeling a surge of anger in his heart, but he couldn’t show it.
He could only continue to coax gently, “Wanwan, it’s not that Dad is heartless. Currently, only President Zhang is willing to invest in the company, and he specifically wants you. I have no choice.”
“Or do you have any other solutions?”
Luo Minghui retreated to advance, throwing the problem to Luo Wan.
He believed that this daughter who had come back from the countryside couldn’t possibly have the insight to handle the company’s crisis. She would have to obediently listen later.
Little did he know that Luo Wan just smiled faintly, remaining calm as she said, “I can help the company get through this crisis, but I need to first obtain the shares my mother left for me.”
Luo Rui looked incredulous. “Stop dreaming. Even Dad can’t turn the situation around. How could a country bumpkin like you, who hasn’t even had an education, possibly solve it?”
“Seems like someone’s obsessed with shares all of a sudden.”
