Chapter 5
Luo Wan looked at the Shengshi Building opposite, and suddenly had an idea.
She stood up and left the coffee shop, heading straight across the street.
“Hello, I’m looking for Mr. Sheng Qing, the CEO of Shengshi.”
Luo Wan went to the front desk and stated her purpose directly.
The receptionist was a girl in her twenties, sitting at her desk admiring her nails. Hearing the voice, she glanced up and down, indifferent, and said, “Do you have an appointment?”
“No.”
“Miss, I’m sorry then.” The receptionist continued to look at her nails, without even lifting her eyes.
Luo Wan patiently persisted, “Tell him my surname is Luo.”
In fact, she wasn’t sure if what the man said yesterday still counted. Or whether his intentions matched her current thoughts.
“Our CEO is very busy, not just anyone can see him.”
Luo Wan was dressed casually today, with her hair simply tied back in a ponytail, no makeup on her face, making her look a few years younger than her actual age.
The receptionist looked down on her, noticing that Luo Wan showed no intention of leaving, and a hint of impatience flashed across her face.
Luo Wan closed her eyes and suppressed the curse words in her heart, regretting a bit that she had thrown away the business card back then.
“I think you’d better hurry…”
“Miss Luo”
The receptionist’s words were interrupted by a sudden male voice. Upon seeing the newcomer, she smiled and greeted, “Assistant Xu.”
Luo Wan turned her head in the direction of the voice and saw a strange man in a black suit, looking confused.
“Do you know me?” she asked.
Assistant Xu smiled awkwardly, a hint of embarrassment flickering across his face.
Because last night, he was the one responsible for investigating her background.
“You’re here to see Mr. Sheng, right? I’ll take you up.”
After speaking, he turned to the stunned receptionist beside him and instructed, “In the future, when Miss Luo comes to see the CEO, inform him directly.”
“Yes, yes,” the receptionist hurriedly agreed, no longer as indifferent as before.
She was filled with uncertainty and anxiety.
What important person had she offended?
Luo Wan followed Assistant Xu to the CEO’s private elevator.
The CEO’s office.
Sheng Qing was busy reading documents with his head down. After Assistant Xu escorted the visitor in, he left.
Luo Wan sat on the sofa, watching the man work diligently.
She had to admit that she hadn’t really lost out last night.
This man was truly exceptional; wild and dominant when unclothed, yet restrained and cultured when dressed and wearing glasses.
No matter how you look at it, he was perfect.
With such looks, he would probably be unrivaled in the entertainment industry.
Luo Wan was fascinated.
“Are you still satisfied?” Suddenly, the man’s clear voice came.
Luo Wan woke up abruptly and quickly turned her head, pretending to look out the window.
Sheng Qing took off his glasses, rubbed his brow, and then looked at the girl on the sofa.
Today’s attire made her look like a minor.
If he didn’t know her real age and hadn’t verified that she was indeed mature, he wouldn’t have made a move.
“Come here.” He leaned on the table, beckoning with his index finger towards Luo Wan.
Seeing the girl obediently come and sit in front of him, Sheng Qing smiled satisfactorily.
“Have you thought it over?”
Luo Wan calmed her heartbeat and asked, “Why me? With someone like you, there are thousands of women willing to be at your beck and call with just a finger.”
At her words, Sheng Qing cleared his throat twice, his eyes fixed on her. “If I were to give a reason, it would be that I enjoy the feeling of deep communication with you.”
Luo Wan blushed at his words, widening her eyes.
Was he always this blunt?
This was only their second meeting if you could even call last night a meeting.
