Chapter 6
“Under what identity do you want me to be with you?”
Although Luo Wan was a bit shy, she hadn’t forgotten the purpose of coming here today.
“What identity do you want?” the man asked back.
“I need a marriage.” She said, then carefully watched the man’s reaction with some unease.
In fact, she didn’t have much confidence. The reason she appeared here was because he was her first man, and his social status was high. Marrying him could both cut off Luo Minghui’s other thoughts and regain shares.
Sheng Qing’s eyes paused slightly as he looked at the girl, who stood straight there, even under casual clothes, her proud figure was still visible.
His body suddenly tensed up a bit, he took a breath and adjusted his sitting posture.
He cleared his throat lightly with curled fingers at his lips, and slightly smiled, “I remember Miss Luo, this morning you seemed determined not to have any relationship with me.”
Luo Wan explained, “I just need a six-month marriage. During this period, I can fulfill the duties of a wife, and after six months, I’ll leave without any possessions.”
Upon hearing this, Sheng Qing raised an eyebrow slightly, a hint of surprise flashing in his eyes.
“Miss Luo, may I know why?”
Luo Wan clenched her hands at her sides, her expression still calm. “I need a marriage to reclaim my mother’s belongings, and I don’t want to face another man again.”
Upon hearing this, Sheng Qing’s eyes narrowed slightly.
In fact, from the moment she appeared to propose marriage, he didn’t oppose it.
He really liked her body, and when they had their first close contact last night, he could clearly feel that thin barrier.
Even if she didn’t bring up this request today, he would still take responsibility for her.
Now, with the two troublemakers at home causing a lot of mischief every day regarding his marriage, marrying her could also quiet those two old folks down.
But there was something in her words that didn’t sit quite right with him.
After pondering for a moment, Sheng Qing said, “But men of the Sheng family don’t easily divorce, Miss Luo, this request of yours is not easy to fulfill.”
A hint of disappointment appeared on Luo Wan’s face.
Actually, this response was within reason. After all, this was something that would affect their entire lives.
Who could enter into marriage based solely on one night’s affection in bed, especially for someone like him, a scion of the heavens, the marriage of a big conglomerate’s CEO should be even more carefully considered.
“I apologize for the disturbance,” Luo Wan lowered her head, apologizing for her rashness.
“Goodbye.”
It seemed that she would have to think of another way. Regardless, she must retrieve her mother’s shares.
Disappointed, Luo Wan turned to leave.
“Wait.”
The man’s voice came from behind.
“Miss Luo, have you always been so stubborn?”
What does he mean?
Pausing her steps, Luo Wan turned her head in confusion to look at the steady and handsome man behind the desk.
“Marriage is possible, but when it comes to divorce, it’s up to me.”
Luo Wan was stunned.
She earnestly looked at the calm expression on the man’s face, trying to discern any clues from it.
But after all, he was an elite in the business world with an impeccable record. How could he be easily read by others?
After a moment.
“Okay.”
Luo Wan nodded.
The most urgent thing now was to retrieve her shares.
Moreover, this man was exemplary in every aspect, so marrying him wasn’t a loss.
“Do you have your household register?” Sheng Qing collected the documents on the table, stood up, and walked towards Luo Wan.
“Huh?” Suddenly changing the subject, Luo Wan was still dazed and hadn’t reacted yet.
Immediately, she felt a tap on her forehead, and Sheng Qing stood in front of her with one hand in his pocket, a smile playing at the corner of his mouth.
Luo Wan rubbed her forehead and looked up at the man.
Only then did she realize that this man was unexpectedly tall, towering a full head above her.
With her height of just one meter seventy, the height difference between them was quite adorable.
