Chapter 7
Luo Wan was sent to the countryside at a very young age, and her grandfather, worried about her, went with her. To facilitate the household registration of the grandfather and granddaughter, they moved to the countryside. Since her grandfather passed away a few years ago, she has been living alone with her own household registration.
She always carried important documents like these with her.
On the way to the Civil Affairs Bureau, Luo Wan felt dizzy.
Everything happened too fast.
Although she didn’t know how long this marriage would last, it was still a very important matter in a girl’s life.
If her grandfather knew about her decision now, she didn’t know if he would scold her.
Luo Wan glanced at the man driving beside her.
He wore a handmade black suit, one hand on the steering wheel, revealing the expensive watch on his wrist, his gaze fixed ahead.
His expression remained calm, not like someone going to get married, but rather like someone going to negotiate a business deal.
Sensing the woman’s gaze, Sheng Qing glanced over at her.
In a deep voice, he said, “You still have ten minutes to regret.”
“That’s something I could say to you too.”
Feeling embarrassed, Luo Wan withdrew her gaze and looked ahead.
Then she heard two low chuckles beside her.
“My decisions are never rushed.”
“Regret, and I won’t allow others to regret either.”
Luo Wan raised an eyebrow.
The two arrived at the Civil Affairs Bureau.
It was already after work hours, but the staff were still warmly waiting when they arrived.
Seeing them come in, the staff greeted them warmly.
Soon, the marriage certificate was processed.
Luo Wan stared at the red booklet in her hand, examining it repeatedly.
On it, their heads were close together, both showing standard smiles.
Both of them were top-notch in appearance, so the photo was beautiful, but there was a strange atmosphere between them.
It was like that familiar feeling of being strangers.
Lost in thought, she suddenly felt a tap on her head.
“Let’s go.”
Rubbing her head, Luo Wan followed along.
They arrived at the car.
Luo Wan naturally reported her home address.
Feeling elated, she thought to herself that now with the marriage certificate, she could go back and retrieve her shares.
After waiting for a long time without the car moving, she looked over in confusion, only to see the man looking at her with a smirk.
“Wanwan, it seems like you’ve forgotten that you’re already married.”
“Today is your wedding night.”
Luo Wan felt a bit
Awkward.
The change in status was too sudden, and she hadn’t adjusted yet. She also hadn’t noticed that the man’s way of addressing her had changed.
“Wanwan, you haven’t forgotten what you said, have you?”
Luo Wan knew what was expected on a wedding night.
However, after a night of intense activity just last night, she hadn’t fully recovered. If they were to do it again, she feared she might not make it through.
But thinking about how she had just solemnly promised to fulfill her marital duties and now couldn’t back out, she could only nod reluctantly.
“I remember.”
The man smiled satisfactorily.
The car sped down the road in an instant.
Sheng Qing took Luo Wan directly to the Xiyuan Villa.
It was a villa he had arranged a few years ago, which had been unattended while he was abroad.
Just when they decided to get married, he had someone come over to clean it up temporarily.
By the time they arrived, the villa was already clean and tidy. The cleaners had already left.
The entire villa was empty except for the two of them.
As soon as they entered, Luo Wan was pressed against the door.
The man’s kisses rained down upon her.
Luo Wan leaned against the door, forced to endure the storm the man had stirred up, feeling like she had little control over her own breath.
