After Becoming the Soldier Male Lead’s First Love, I Faked My Death Chapter 11

Chapter 11

“Thank you, Director.”

Xu Mingjuan stood there, worried, looking at Zhao Yunsheng. She feared the young girl might be taken advantage of.

Director Xiang’s expression darkened; he hurriedly waved her away.

“What are you thanking me for? Go on, I need to talk to Yunsheng.”

His big belly swayed as his narrow eyes darted left and right, clearly up to no good.

Xu Mingjuan trembled but forced herself forward, bracing against her fear.

“Director, I live in the same courtyard as Yunsheng. I’ll wait here for her.”

Before Xiang could explode, Zhao Yunsheng spoke up.

“Aunt Xu, you should go first. I’m fine.”

Xu Mingjuan hesitated, thinking the girl was threatened, and was about to insist, but then saw the subtle glance Zhao Yunsheng gave.

The young girl’s eyes were bright and confident, clearly knowing what to do.

She reluctantly nodded and stepped out, glancing back every few steps, deciding to wait near the door.

With no one in the way, Xiang slammed the door shut, a lecherous grin spreading across his face as he rubbed his hands together and moved closer.

“Yunsheng, you probably don’t know yet… This morning someone came to the factory to complain. Your neighbor claims you seduced her son and even hit her. She’s demanding I handle it. Look at this…”

He spread his hands helplessly, putting on an act of concern.

“This affects the reputation of our meat processing factory. If it blows up, it won’t be good for anyone.”

Zhao Yunsheng knew exactly what he was up to and smiled knowingly.

“Oh? So, Director Xiang, what’s your point?”

His eyes gleamed green; he thought she was playing along with him.

No wonder she always looked at him so affectionately—she must have had a crush on him all along. Otherwise, how could she read him so easily?

Feeling pleased with himself, he grinned, revealing yellowed teeth, cooing in a soft, coaxing tone.

“My meaning is obvious, isn’t it? As long as you’re with me, Yunsheng, all of this won’t be a problem. You’ve been with our factory for two years. One command from me, and who knows—you could be director tomorrow.”

He grew more excited, gesturing wildly.

“They say an older man with a younger wife is perfect. Me old, you young—match made in heaven. Anything good in the factory, I’ll reserve for you, and we can raise Yuanbao together.”

His hands crept toward her waist as he waxed poetic about a rosy future.

Zhao Yunsheng’s face remained calm. She sidestepped and took two steps back, leaning against the table with ease.

“Just a director, huh? That’s not enough for me. If I’m climbing the ladder, I aim for factory manager. Director Xiang, you have the connections?”

“….”

Xiang’s face stiffened; he assumed she was joking and leaned in with a playful groan.

“My dear, if I had that ability, I’d have climbed higher long ago. Why would I stay here and endure my superiors’ nonsense?”

Meaning—no one above him. That was it.

Zhao Yunsheng scoffed, her voice low and full of disdain.

“Tsk tsk tsk… No real skills, yet you want me? Look at your fat gut, your bald head, the stench of old age—you’re not even worthy to carry my shoes, you disgusting beast!”

“What did you say?!”

Xiang roared, nearly having a heart attack.

He’d held this position for years, used his power to intimidate everyone. And now this little girl dared to insult him?

His face flushed as he craned his neck, furious.

“Zhao Yunsheng, say that again if you dare!”

But Zhao Yunsheng wasn’t afraid. She spoke as freely as if spilling beans.

“Say it as many times as you want. You abuse your power, terrorize the people, and still aren’t satisfied. You want to grope me? You wish! Wait and see—I’m going straight to the higher-ups to report you!”

Without hesitation, she got up and strode toward the door, full of righteous anger.

Xiang was shocked; in all his years of service, he’d never seen such a rebellious girl. She seemed sweet, but now she was impossible.

“Zhao Yunsheng, stop! Who do you think you are? Without evidence, you think you can report me? Dream on!”

He lunged for her, but before his hands could touch her, Zhao Yunsheng acted theatrically, stepping back and shouting,

“Director Xiang, don’t come near! I’m scared, I’m scared, please leave me alone!”

Thinking she was terrified, Xiang lowered his guard.

Zhao Yunsheng then flexibly lifted her leg, striking him squarely in the groin.

“Ahhh! My god, it hurts! Zhao Yunsheng, you little brat, I’ll break your legs!”

Sweat poured down his face as he doubled over, clutching himself, his legs twisting painfully. His porky face turned a deep red, and he looked utterly humiliated.

Zhao Yunsheng paused, her face filled with satisfaction.

She knew she had no evidence and couldn’t formally report him. Most women who were harassed at the factory had no allies and depended on their jobs. Reputation was crucial; no one dared stand up.

She, however, had space and freedom, so she wasn’t afraid of him.

All this time, she had been “playing dumb to catch the tiger.”

Anyone who dared bully her had to be taught a lesson.

Outside, Aunt Xu was watching—a ready witness.

Raising her eyebrows, hands on her hips, Zhao Yunsheng taunted quietly,

“Come on, aren’t you going to break my legs? If you have the guts, then do it!”

Xiang, blinded by rage, didn’t realize how cunning the young girl was. He gritted his teeth and charged,

“You little brat, I’ll kill you!”

Zhao Yunsheng smiled, turned, and shouted toward the door.

“Director! Director, are you okay? Don’t scare me! Someone help, Director Xiang’s hurt!”

Her shout confused him, while her hands swiftly pulled out a rubber baton from her bag and rained blows on his face.

The baton was light but packed a punch; every strike made him wince in pain.

Xiang was caught off guard, his head spinning. He didn’t even see what hit him, only feeling excruciating pain.

“My face! What have you done to me… aaahhh!”

He stumbled to grab Zhao Yunsheng, but she swung the baton again, landing a few solid hits before retracting it into her space and dashing outside.

Outside, Aunt Xu and several curious workers had gathered, filling the doorway.

“What happened?”

Zhao Yunsheng, pretending to panic, called out,

“Aunt, Director Xiang fell badly! Someone help him to the hospital, quick, he could die if we wait!”

At that moment, Xiang stumbled out of the office. His once fat, round face was now swollen and bruised, his mouth bleeding, holding two knocked-out teeth in his hand—a truly frightening sight.
