Song Yi found a nearby resort and ordered a bottle of cold drink juice. He sat under a sunshade, basking in the brilliant sunshine of the seaside city, feeling mixed in his emotions.
He took out his phone and slid down to the information bar, where a text message from three years ago still lay quietly in his inbox.
From: [Zhou Moquan]
Message: Return to the hotel early, good brother is here to celebrate your birthday, and we have prepared a huge surprise.
Song Yi couldn’t help but smile helplessly. It was truly a huge surprise, one he had never experienced before in his life.
Three years ago, when Song Yi just signed with Star Entertainment, Zhou Moquan was still a relatively unknown artist. Star Entertainment had assigned Song Yi to Zhou Moquan, hoping he could help boost his visibility.
Zhou Moquan was an interesting person, naturally charismatic with a keen eye for the entertainment industry. Zhou Moquan and Song Yi hit it off and became good friends.
Song Yi greatly admired Zhou Moquan and felt a deep sense of connection with him.
If it weren’t for what happened later, they would have been forever good friends.
Closing his eyes, Song Yi took a deep breath, suppressing his inner turmoil. He rested his head against the recliner, letting his thoughts drift away as she tried to catch some sleep. There was still a scene to film later that night.
As he dozed off, a faint shadow cast over his head and he felt a gentle breeze on his arms.
Song Yi opened his eyes and saw a colorful water gun, the kind children play with, and above it, a pair of honey-colored, well-tone arms.
Following the arms up, Song Yi calmly averted his gaze.
Gu Xingchuan, sporting trendy brown sunglasses atop his tall nose bride, casually set down his water gun and settled into the beach chair beside Song Yi. “Why aren’t you back at the hotel sleeping?”
Yawning lazily, Song Yi replied. “You already know the answer to that.”
The matter between him and Zhou Moquan has long been exposed by the media.
Glancing at him, Gu Xingchuan lay down beside Song Yi, asking nonchalantly, “Did he specifically come to see you?”
“No.” Song Yi rolled his eyes at him, his imagination running wild.
Frowning, Gu Xingchuan pressed. “Does he have feelings for you?”
Song Yi lowered his gaze and said, “Why are you asking such nonsense?”
“Answer my question.” Gu Xingchuan’s tone was resolute and uncompromising.
Song Yi glanced at him, he couldn’t get used to this young master’s temper. “It’s none of your concern, just focus on yourself and worry less.” He replied.
Sitting up abruptly, Gu Xingchuan shot him a cold glance, chin raised. “You’re keeping quiet because you two have something going on.” He asserted.
Song Yi closed his eyes, pinching the bridge of his nose in frustration. “With that logic, I’m amazed you passed your math exam.”
Gu Xingchuan paused for a moment, his eyes narrowed behind his sunglasses, and he demanded aggressively, “Last time you mentioned talking about three boyfriends, was he one of them?”
Song Yi’s head was pounding when he heard the mention of something that couldn’t be touched with an eight-foot pole. He said angrily. “Why are you asking these questions? Does it have anything to do with you?”
“Regarding it, I just need to know.” Gu Xingchuan’s face didn’t turn red and his heart didn’t jump.
Song Yi laughed angrily and said, “Then you’ll just have to deal with not knowing because I’m not telling you.”
