Behind his glasses, Song Yi’s eyes widened. Gu Xingchuan held him down, one hand pressing his shoulder against the chair, the other squeezing his cheeks, forcing him to open his mouth and accept the kiss.
Song Yi struggled to break free from this fierce onslaught, but Gu Xingchuan was immovable, kissing him deeper as if he wanted to consume him entirely.
A suffocating dizziness overtook Song Yi as Gu Xingchuan seemingly possessed and refused to let up.
Out of breath, Song Yi finally threw aside any regard for dignity and kicked Gu Xingchuan’s leg hard, breaking the kiss.
Both their lips were flushed red, and Song Yi’s breathing was ragged, his chest heaving intensely.
Gu Xingchuan casually wiped his lips and gave Song Yi’s cheek a light squeeze, anger simmering beneath his expression. “Don’t even think about sending me off to find some other omega. I’m not going to any AO mutual aid site—I’m sticking with you.”
Song Yi’s Adam’s apple bobbed, his dark eyes trembling behind his glasses. “You’re seriously messed up.”
There was no reasoning with him; communication seemed impossible.
Gu Xingchuan stood up and without hesitation, flopped onto Song Yi’s bed, sinking the mattress with his weight making himself comfortable as if it were his own place. “If I am, it’s because you drove me to it.”
Who was driving whom crazy here? Song Yi wondered in frustration, running a hand through his hair. “Get off my bed.”
Gu Xingchuan glanced at him, let out a light scoff then turned his back on Song Yi, lying with his long legs stretched out as he started rummaging through the stack of magazines on the nightstand. “Just checking if you have anything inappropriate in here.”
Song Yi’s magazines were all rather dull, mostly finance or general interest—nothing remotely risqué.
“Stop messing around. I don’t have anything you’re looking for.” Song Yi muttered, barely resisting the urge to throw him out.
Gu Xingchuan clicked his tongue. “Oh? And how would you know what I’m looking for?”
Song Yi, exasperated, said. “With your style, are you seriously looking for party newspapers here? I don’t keep the kind of thing you’re after, so stop digging around.”
Gu Xingchuan laid back on Song Yi’s pillow, dramatically inhaling as if savoring the lingering scent. He blinked innocently, looking completely at ease. “So, how do you usually… unwind? Who do you fantasize about?”
Song Yi was silent for a few seconds, then let out a chuckle. “You really want to know?”
Gu Xingchuan sat up straight, nodding eagerly, eyes sparkling with the excitement of a puppy waiting for a treat.
Song Yi smirked inwardly, pulled out his phone, and tapped a few times before handing it over. “Enjoy. I’ve never shown this to anyone else.”
Gu Xingchuan snatched the phone, glancing at the screen as the familiar music of Animal Planet began to play. On the African savanna, one lion was atop another, engaged in rather “vigorous play.”
He glanced briefly at Song Yi, then back to the video watching with interest and finally remarking with satisfaction. “So this is your type.”
Song Yi took his phone back, smirking. “Exciting, isn’t it?”
“Thrilling, totally wild.” Gu Xingchuan nodded, licking his lips before looking at Song Yi seriously. “If you’re really into this, I’ll wear a lion mask next time and mark you.”
“You’re seriously twisted.” Song Yi shuddered at the thought, utterly defeated. Next time? Maybe in the next life.
Gu Xingchuan pouted. “Ever heard of ‘keeping things interesting’?”
Song Yi was both exasperated and a bit wary—there was just no winning against him. Just as he was thinking of ways to get Gu Xingchuan to leave, his phone screen lit up with a call from an unfamiliar number.
He hesitated, then answered. “Hello?”
A smooth, gentlemanly voice came through. “Hello, this is Shen Du. Remember me?”
Glancing at the time, Song Yi recalled that today was the day he’d scheduled to meet with Shen Du. He sat on the edge of the bed. “Yes, I remember. I got held up with something this morning. Would this afternoon work for us to meet?”
Hearing this clear setup for a “date,” Gu Xingchuan’s internal alarms blared.
He turned his head, straining to listen but couldn’t catch much of the conversation. So, he went all in—kneeling on the bed and resting his sharp jaw on Song Yi’s shoulder, trying to gauge if the person on the other end was a man or something else.
With Gu Xingchuan’s head weighing on his shoulder and his hair tickling his neck, Song Yi tried shrugging him off a few times, but it was no use. He resigned himself to endure it.
“Of course, I’m always at your service.” Shen Du replied smoothly.
Song Yi chuckled lightly. “Alright, see you soon.”
Shen Du chuckled, his smooth voice unhurried. “I’ve been looking forward to this all week.”
Gu Xingchuan frowned, clearly annoyed that Song Yi was speaking with this smooth-talking guy. Without warning, he leaned in and gently took Song Yi’s fair, sensitive earlobe between his teeth, savoring it as if it were a treat.
Song Yi’s breath caught, and he nearly lost his grip on his phone. Struggling to keep his composure, he quickly wrapped up the call with a few polite words and hung up.
“What do you think you’re doing?” Song Yi pushed Gu Xingchuan’s head away, touching his now-warm, damp earlobe.
Gu Xingchuan licked his lips, looking straight at him. “Who was that?”
Ignoring him, Song Yi stood up, opened his wardrobe, and took out a jacket. He glanced back at Gu Xingchuan with a hint of finality. “I’m heading out. Are you planning to stay here?”
Gu Xingchuan stared at him for a few seconds, then jumped off the bed, hands in his pockets. “I’m coming with you.”
