Though they had shared a bed at Song Yi’s house, and Gu Xingchuan occasionally crossed boundaries, he had never truly crossed the line, and Song Yi wasn’t afraid of what might happen.
However, Song Yi felt a sense of unease in the current environment.
He took a few deep breaths, sitting up from the soft waterbed. Turning his neck, he gazed at the deep red sheets with dark rose patterns. The canopy above, bathed in soft lighting, created a hazy atmosphere. He thought for a moment—if he lay on this bed, even without doing anything, the atmosphere alone would be enough to invite Gu Xingchuan to… well, it would be too much.
This couldn’t happen. Anxious, Song Yi fumbled through the drawer, pulling out the remote for the lights. He adjusted the brightness several times, trying to make it brighter, but this was already the brightest setting.
After a few more unsuccessful attempts, he gave up in frustration. Since he couldn’t lie on the bed, he looked around the room, finding a chair that seemed like an office chair, and settled into it.
Since his pregnancy, he had been feeling quite tired, and before long, he dozed off against the backrest of the chair.
In his hazy half-sleep, it felt like cold raindrops were falling on his face. Song Yi sluggishly opened his eyes to see Gu Xingchuan’s face up close. Bathed in soft lighting, Gu Xingchuan’s hair was slightly damp, his brows sharp, nose straight, and jawline smooth and defined. His dark pupils were locked onto him, and his lips curved slightly. “Why are you sleeping here?”
Song Yi wiped the water off his face with the back of his hand, saying calmly. “I was a bit tired, thought I’d take a nap.”
He tried to sit up, but Gu Xingchuan gently pushed his shoulder, pressing him back into the chair. His voice carried an unspoken hint. “Do you know what this chair can do?”
Confused, Song Yi responded. “Huh?”
Gu Xingchuan chuckled lowly, reaching over to press an inconspicuous button on the side of the chair’s armrest. Suddenly, the back of the chair tilted backward, causing Song Yi to lie flat without realizing it. The armrests on either side of the chair pushed outward. Before Song Yi could react, Gu Xingchuan gently lifted his legs, resting them on the armrests. He leaned over, kneeling slightly between Song Yi’s legs, hands braced on either side of his face, looking down at him from above. “Fun, isn’t it?”
Song Yi froze for a moment, his face flushed. The position he was in completely stripped him of any initiative, making him feel like a patient on an examination table at the gynecologist’s office. “It’s not fun…”
He tried to sit up, but with his legs hanging in the air, unable to exert any force, it felt like he was a helpless lamb, vulnerable and exposed. It was an unpleasant sensation.
Gu Xingchuan watched the awkward expression on his face and leaned in closer to his ear. “If it’s not fun, we can try something else.”
Song Yi turned his head to avoid the hot breath near his ear and calmly said. “Get up. I don’t want to play.”
It was obvious this wasn’t a good game.
Sure enough, Gu Xingchuan reached behind the chair, pulling out a pair of leather handcuffs. Song Yi’s vision went black for a moment, and he struggled to avoid them. But Gu Xingchuan suddenly grabbed his wrist and securely cuffed it, wrapping it tightly around his wrist, binding it in place. Breathing heavily, he declared. “You’re under arrest. You have the right to remain silent. Anything you say can and will be used as evidence against you.”
“….”
Song Yi glared at him fiercely, trying to intimidate Gu Xingchuan with his icy stare.
Gu Xingchuan narrowed his eyes, his expression serious. “Now, answer me honestly. Are you still angry?”
Song Yi pressed his lips together, refusing to answer any of Gu Xingchuan’s questions.
Gu Xingchuan gently squeezed his chin, speaking softly. “Confess, and you’ll be treated lightly. Resist, and you’ll be punished severely.”
Song Yi suddenly thought of something very unpleasant. Realizing he had no other choice, he deflated and quickly answered. “No.”
Gu Xingchuan raised his voice, his tone laced with danger. “Lying deserves punishment.”
No sooner had he spoken, he swung his hand and struck a few heavy slaps. The sharp sound echoed through the air.
Song Yi’s face flushed bright red, feeling as though he were being treated like a child. His cheeks burned with embarrassment. “I wasn’t angry, I’m not lying.”
“Really?”
“Really.”
“Your mouth is so stubborn, let me help you loosen up.”
Gu Xingchuan gripped his chin and kissed him forcefully, the kiss intense and overwhelming, like wildfire, impossible to stop.
Song Yi’s eyes widened, his heart racing erratically, as though it might burst out of his chest. He mentally cursed Gu Xingchuan. The kiss went on for what felt like forever, and in the lack of oxygen, his mind grew foggy. He could faintly see Gu Xingchuan’s eyes glowing in the dim light, looking almost wolf-like, with tiny sparks of light flickering in them.
The cold droplets of water from Gu Xingchuan’s half-damp hair dripped onto Song Yi’s overheated body, providing a brief sense of relief, like a soothing dew.
Song Yi closed his eyes, took a deep breath, and when he opened them again, his gaze was soft with a glimmer of water, his eyes slightly reddened at the corners. Under the colorful lights, it was as if an unknown, precious pigment had been mixed in, giving off a dangerous, irresistible allure.
Gu Xingchuan slightly pulled away, his neck veins subtly standing out from the heat. He looked at Song Yi, his voice low and hoarse. “Are you ready to face the consequences?”
They were so close, and with Gu Xingchuan only wrapped in a bathrobe, Song Yi could clearly feel the heat of his excitement.
Unable to help himself, Song Yi instinctively covered his burning face with his hands. His chest rose and fell rapidly, and his throat tightened. “I don’t want to play anymore.”
Gu Xingchuan had never seen Song Yi this shy before. The previous times had always been in special circumstances, and they had been half-hearted, quick encounters. But seeing Song Yi like this made his heart itch, and the restlessness in his chest grew.
It was impossible to resist the urge to soften.
He gently pried Song Yi’s hands away, kissed his cheek tenderly, and in a hoarse voice, coaxed. “Baby, give yourself to me.”
Song Yi felt an overwhelming sense of embarrassment, biting his lower lip. Yet, despite his best efforts, he could sense the shift in his own body and felt powerless to control it.
Well… since things had already gone this far, might as well seize the moment. Life was short, after all.
