The Sixth Prince rushed back to his palace, dismounted, and walked towards a courtyard in the palace with a dark face. Halfway through, he stopped and turned to walk towards his own courtyard, saying as he walked, “Go call Miss Liu.”
The Sixth Prince’s tone was unfriendly, which was completely different from his usual attitude towards Liu Yun’er. The follower was stunned for a moment, then quickly responded, “Yes.”
The Sixth Prince returned to the house and said coldly, “Get out.”
The maids who were cleaning responded in unison, put down their work, and retreated quietly.
The Sixth Prince sat on a chair, staring at the yard through the open door with a gloomy face.
After a while, a graceful figure appeared in sight, with light steps and a smile on her face.
The Sixth Prince’s eyes darkened, and his hands, which were casually resting on the armrests of the chair, clenched a little.
Liu Yuner walked over quickly, took the food box from the maid, and walked in alone, saying in a sweet voice, “Your Highness, you are back. The sun is so strong, and it is hot. I made mung bean paste myself and added ice. You should have a bowl.”
The Sixth Prince looked at her calmly and repeated, “Did you cook it yourself?”
Liu Yun’er’s hand holding the bowl froze, and then she smiled and glared at the Sixth Prince: “Your Highness is always finding fault. I personally selected the beans and added the sugar. Doesn’t this count as Yun’er making it herself?”
The two of them were like this in the past. The Sixth Prince felt that although she came from a merchant family and their statuses were very different, she was never submissive, nor did she belittle herself. She dared to laugh and scold in front of him, which made her very different.
And no matter whether they were talking about love or chatting about everything under the sun, she always managed to hit on his preferences.
In the past, he felt that he was very lucky and had picked up a treasure.
But looking back now, if she was deliberately placed next to him, then she must have figured out his preferences and was deliberately trained to be like this.
Otherwise, there would be no such coincidence in the world that he would be so lucky to meet someone who meets his taste in every way.
Seeing that the Sixth Prince didn’t say anything and just stared at her, Liu Yun’er held the jade bowl and smiled sweetly, “Your Highness, what’s wrong? Is entering the palace is not going smoothly? It doesn’t matter if it’s not going smoothly. I’ve already said that as long as I can be with Your Highness, I have nothing else to ask for.”
Nothing else to ask for? Thinking of what Xiao Jiu said, that he would eventually die at the hands of this woman, the Sixth Prince sneered in his heart, fearing that the ultimate goal was to take his life.
He looked at the woman in front of him with a scrutinizing gaze: “It doesn’t matter if you don’t have a name? If I marry a wife and a concubine in the future, you will be of a low status by then, aren’t you afraid of being bullied?”
Liu Yun’er was not angry at all, she smiled considerately and generously: “As long as Your Highness continues to favor Yun’er, I don’t care about that.”
As she spoke, she scooped out a spoonful of mung bean paste from her hand and fed it to the Sixth Prince: “It’s very hot today, Your Highness, please drink a sip.”
”How outrageous.” The Sixth Prince suddenly felt disgusted and with a wave of his hand, he knocked the bowl of mung bean soup to the ground. The thin jade bowl fell to the ground with a crisp snapping sound and broke into pieces in an instant, and the mung bean soup spilled all over the ground.
Liu Yun’er was stunned for a moment, but then she smiled again. She took out a handkerchief and was about to wipe the soup that had splashed on the Sixth Prince’s hands. She said in a familiar tone, “What’s wrong with you, Your Highness? Why are you so angry at me?”
”I treated you so rudely, and you’re not angry at all?” The Sixth Prince shook off her hand.
”Your Highness is joking, how can I not be angry? But you are someone Yun’er cares about, how can I bear to show displeasure to Your Highness? I am just suppressing all the grievances in my heart.” Liu Yun’er clutched the handkerchief, tears welled up in her eyes instantly, but she was still smiling, looking so pitiful.
The Sixth Prince sneered. It was a joke. If a woman really liked a man, how could she not care about his attitude towards her?
He became more and more certain that Liu Yun’er had no sincerity or real intention towards him. All the warmth and kindness she had shown him in the past were fake. Perhaps even her name was fake.
In the past, when she was like this, he just thought she was considerate, but today, seeing her again, he just felt that she was pretentious, hypocritical, and disgusting.
He was too lazy to beat around the bush with her and said directly: “No need to act anymore, just tell me who asked you to come.”
Liu Yun’er’s back stiffened and the smile on her face froze: “I don’t understand what your highness is saying.”
”A girl from a brothel dares to argue with me here. Who gave you the courage?” The Sixth Prince shouted angrily.
He had already lost all his patience and shouted loudly, “Come here, take her away and lock her up. I will deal with her after I find out who is behind this.”
Two followers came in from outside, carried the person away without any mercy.
Seeing that the Sixth Prince’s eyes, which used to be full of affection, suddenly turned murderous, Liu Yun’er knew clearly that the matter had been exposed.
She looked flustered, but still struggled desperately: “Your Highness, listen to Yun’er, Yun’er has her own difficulties. If your Highness is willing, Yun’er can sleep with you now.”
Upon hearing Liu Yuner’s words, veins on the Sixth Prince’s forehead throbbed.
She didn’t even let him kiss her before, it turned out that she was keeping him hanging on purpose.
Now that she’s been exposed, she actually offered himself to me in public in front of so many people. How despicable.
The Sixth Prince felt extremely upset and annoyed at himself for being so blind and stupid. He deserved to be played around by others.
He didn’t want to see her again at all at this moment, and shouted directly: “Shut her mouth, I don’t want to hear her voice again.”
The attendant did as he was told, took out a towel and covered Liu Yuner’s mouth with it, then dragged her away.
The Sixth Prince sat quietly in the empty room for a while, thinking about everything that happened before and after he met Liu Yun’er. The more he thought about it, the more annoyed he became: “Idiot! You are just an idiot!”
He stood up suddenly and broke one of the table legs with one kick. Seeing that the table was shaking for a long time and refused to fall, he went up and kicked the table over again, then rushed out the door angrily.
The personal attendant hurriedly followed: “Your Highness, it’s time for lunch, where are you going?”
The Sixth Prince didn’t say a word. He ran out of the door in one breath and rode his horse all the way to the First Prince’s Mansion. He didn’t even need to notify anyone when he entered the house and rushed straight to the study.
The eldest prince was writing. When he saw the sixth prince running in with an ugly face and standing at the door looking at him aggrievedly, he quickly put down his pen and asked, “What’s wrong?”
The Sixth Prince rushed over and hugged the First Prince, crying loudly: “Brother, I was fooled, wuwuwu.”
This sixth brother has been tough since he was young, and it is rare to see him cry like this. The eldest prince was startled and patted his back hurriedly: “What happened? Tell your brother quickly.”
The Sixth Prince was very tall. He bent over the First Prince’s shoulder, crying and sobbing, “Brother, this is the first time I’ve liked someone in my life, but she’s a liar. She tricked me.”
The eldest prince’s wife, who came to have dinner with the eldest prince, walked to the door. When she heard this, she immediately became angry, rolled up her sleeves, and put her hands on her waist: “Who dares to play tricks on our sixth brother? Tell my[1]your sister-in-law, and I will help you beat her to death.”
