”Brother, just follow me later, trust me!”
Shen Yao held the phone attentively, and flexibly manipulated the little man on the screen with both hands, letting Shen Ge follow behind her.
Shen Ge had seen his classmates play before, so Chi Yi helped him choose a roaming hero with less pressure so that he could follow Shen Yao in order to let him get familiar with the game mode.
Shen Yao is good at gaming. She and Shen Ge trapped the opponent under the tower? They dared not come out. Chi Yi looked for opportunities after developing for a while and killed the lone kid with one knife.
The opponent’s level is not high, and the temper is not small. Fight? After ten minutes, they started quarreling and fighting on the public screen, and occasionally hurt Chi Yi and others by mistake.
”How are you going to play this? You have the nerve to use the jungler. The opponent is already 10-10.”
”The opponent is fighting? The wild is your father, so? Protect him?”
”Then you want to fight against the opponent? Why don’t you go and see if he will pay attention to you?”
Chi Yi felt that these people were disturbing his eyes, so he blocked Shen Ge’s in-game chat: “Ignore them, they can only shout on the public screen.”
[Almost? I forgot that there are many people in the game who are foul-mouthed. Don’t let Shen Ge be a bad example.]
Shen Ge nodded. After hearing Shen Yao tell him to follow Chi Yi, Shen Ge’s little man immediately changed direction and followed behind Chi Yi to help.
Shen Yao was so angry that she wanted to open the microphone and curse, but because she had to maintain her image in front of Chi Yi, she gave up in the end and just beat him even more fiercely.
“Win!”
Shen Yao happily put down the phone and looked at Shen Ge’s dozen assists: “Brother, you learned it? Pretty fast, it seems we can play together in the future.”
”What are you playing for? Play! Your brother is going to take the college entrance exam next year, don’t disturb him from studying.” Shen’s mother washed a plate of fruit and brought it to the living room. Today, the two children went home, so she asked Old Shen to keep an eye on the decoration of the store, and she went back first to make lunch.
Chi Yi peeled an orange, threw two slices into his mouth, and handed the rest to Shen Ge and Shen Yao.
It was still some time before lunch, and Shen Ge saw his mother busy in the kitchen, so he volunteered, “Mom, I’ll go buy some groceries.”
There is still meat in the refrigerator at home, but I haven’t had time to buy vegetables yet. Shen’s mother thought about it and took out some change from her pocket: “Buy a bottle of soy sauce when you come back, and I’ll make some cold dishes for you later.”
Chi Yi finished eating the orange and stood up to put on his coat: “I’m going too.”
The Shen family lived in an old neighborhood, and there was a vegetable market near the neighborhood. In the past, when Shen Yao was still young, Shen’s mother was sometimes too busy to take care of everything, so Shen Ge often helped the family buy vegetables.
There are a lot of people in the vegetable market today. Shen Ge walked around and asked Chi Yi: “What do you like to eat? Vegetables?”
Chi Yi is not picky about food, and was about to say “whatever”, but? It seemed a bit perfunctory, so he looked up. At the vegetable stalls nearby, pointed at one and said: “Let’s fry mushrooms, I see they sell mushrooms over there.”
The stall owner was a warm-hearted lady who seemed very familiar with Shen Ge. When she saw Shen Ge walking towards her stall, she smiled and greeted him, “Are you out buying vegetables for your mother again? See what she wants? These are all vegetables that were brought in early in the morning, so they are fresh!”
Shen Ge took a bunch of mushrooms and looked at them. They were indeed fresh. He smiled and said, “Weigh some for me. Mushrooms, greens, and carrots too.”
”Okay!”
The elder sister put the vegetables that Shen Ge wanted into a plastic bag and put it on the scale, and said to Shen Ge: “Fifteen dollars and thirty cents. Just give fifteen.”
Shen Ge handed the money to the elder sister and said thank you. Chi Yi reached out and took the bag in his own hand, and went to buy soy sauce with Shen Ge.
The market was bustling with people, and there were all kinds of shouting. There was a fish-killing stall nearby, and the ground nearby was full of water and a strong fishy smell.
Shen Ge looked down at the sneakers on Chi Yi’s feet, afraid that he would dislike the dirty floor here, but found that Chi Yi did not show any disgust.
Seeing Shen Ge staring at the blood that was accidentally splashed on the ground when killing fish, Chi Yi thought that he was afraid of stepping on the blood, and suddenly an idea came to him. He went forward and put his arms around Shen Ge’s waist and lifted him up, then raised his long legs and stepped over the blood.
Shen Ge: ???
Before Shen Ge started to struggle, Chi Yi put him down. He looked like he had done a good deed.
Shen Ge quickly looked around to see if there was anyone he knew, and then lowered his voice and asked Chi Yi: “What were you doing just now, the market is so big. It’s so embarrassing to have so many people watching!”
Chi Yi was confused, and didn’t seem to notice anything wrong: “You couldn’t get over it just now, let me help you.”
Shen Ge was a little angry: “I can cross it!”
After saying that, Shen Ge walked quickly into the store without waiting for Chi Yi to catch up.
