Although Qin Feng didn’t know what had happened by the river, after listening to Taohua’s logical explanation, he understood everything.

“It seems you think Qin Feng is easy to bully.” Qin Feng’s gaze grew intense, his eyes sharp like a hawk as he stared at Wang Er. “Which foot kicked my door?”

Wang Er felt that Qin Feng might pull out the axe at any moment and break his leg. He was close to tears, struggling to get up.

“Qin Feng, Big Brother, please forgive us. It was definitely my mother’s mistake. We wronged your wife. We’ll fix your door right away, is that okay?”

Wang Da cried out, “Qin Feng, how are we supposed to fix the door with our legs like this?”

“It seems like you don’t even want your hands anymore.” Qin Feng’s words were cold.

The brothers, now afraid, could only limp over to fix the door.

As they worked, they muttered to each other, “Stealing the chicken only to lose the rice… this was a big loss.”

After they finished fixing the door, they begged for forgiveness and Qin Feng finally allowed them to leave.

Once they were gone, Qin Feng noticed his little wife was staring at him without moving.

He furrowed his brows, suddenly feeling a sense of unease.

After the earlier incident, his little wife must be scared of him now.

Qin Feng took a few steps towards Taohua, his mind troubled.

He felt like he should comfort her, but he had never interacted with women in this way before—he lacked experience!

After thinking for a moment, he concluded that his little wife was still young. If he treated her like a child and comforted her gently, that should work fine.

Qin Feng felt a bit awkward. “I must’ve scared you just now, right? But don’t worry, I won’t treat you like that. They’re the bad ones.”

“Mm!” Taohua nodded eagerly. “I know, but Qin Gege, you’re amazing!”

Her big, bright eyes seemed to shine with admiration as she stared at him intently, her face full of awe.

“How did you do it? I didn’t even see clearly, and they were already crying out in pain.”

Seeing Taohua’s reaction, Qin Feng let out a breath of relief, realizing he didn’t need to comfort her like a child after all.

He couldn’t help but smile. “You’re not bad yourself. You managed to take both of them down. I haven’t even asked you yet, what happened exactly?”

“I don’t know, I just randomly swung the stick. I thought to myself that it would be perfect if they both tripped in front of me. And then, they actually did!” Taohua said excitedly. “After that, I went to find you, wanting to see you as soon as possible, and then you appeared right in front of me.”

As she spoke, Taohua became more and more animated. She didn’t care whether it was day or night anymore and grabbed Qin Feng’s big hand impulsively.

“Qin Gege, it’s so great to marry you.”

However, Taohua quickly became worried again. “But Qin Gege, the Wang family isn’t to be underestimated. We’ve hurt them. What if they go to the village head to complain?”

After speaking, Qin Feng took the furs that Taohua had pulled from the storage room and spread them out to dry, his movements quick and efficient. Taohua didn’t even have a chance to help.
