Chapter 50: Who Wants to Bathe With You
Ruan Li’s lips were numb from his biting, her mind slow and sluggish. She rested her hands weakly on Fu Huaizhou’s shoulders, trying to push him away. “You’re going crazy again.”
But Fu Huaizhou wasn’t willing to let her go.
Just as she caught her breath, he leaned in to kiss her again.
“Is it really that good to look at?” He asked in a reprimanding tone, his hand gripping her waist, gently squeezing, his fingers brushing against the zipper on the side of her dress.
Ruan Li was pinned against the seat. Before she could react, her waist loosened as her skin was suddenly exposed to the cool air, sending a shiver through her. After all, they had only ever been intimate in a private room before.
She had always thought that someone as old-fashioned as him wouldn’t go for something so thrilling. But after getting spanked last time, she had changed her mind.
It’s always the most serious looking people who play the most outrageous games.
The atmosphere in the confined space suddenly felt dangerous.
“I was glaring at them,” Ruan Li explained, clutching her dress to stop it from falling apart, feeling slightly nervous. “Besides, Shi Xun is a top-tier celebrity of course he looks good!”
Fu Huaizhou stiffened, the tension in his face softening into a helpless smile. “I was asking about the pretty boy.”
Ruan Li thought for a moment, recalling who else had been in the room. Then she realized that among all the male leads and supporting actors, the one who was the palest had to be Ruan Sheng.
Noticing her distraction, Fu Huaizhou lowered his head and bit her earlobe hard, his voice low and rough, “Still thinking about it?”
Ruan Li slapped his face lightly, stopping him from tormenting her further. “I was just spacing out! I wasn’t looking at him!”
At that moment, she had been assessing everyone’s expressions, not indulging in any romantic thoughts. In fact, the only inappropriate person in the room had been the one touching her leg under the table.
And now he had the audacity to accuse her.
She remembered how Fu Huaizhou had been opposed to her joining the film crew, bringing up the topic of being around her peers. Now, after just one day, they had this confrontation. “Are you jealous?” she teased.
Fu Huaizhou looked at her mischievous expression and felt as if he was wasting his time. Whether it was Jiang Yihang before, or now this young celebrity, she always seemed to have this innocent “Who are you talking about?” look on her face.
She was truly heartless.
Helpless, he ran his hand under her dress, lightly squeezing, until he reached her soft spot, giving it a firm pinch.
“Ouch!” Ruan Li winced in pain, curling up like a little shrimp, her eyes wide with anger.
“You ungrateful little thing,” Fu Huaizhou muttered, but before she could really get upset, he pulled her clothes back up.
Ruan Li crossed her arms defensively, looking at him warily, fearing he’d take further advantage of her.
The car stopped outside the hotel prepared for the film crew. Just as Ruan Li was about to get out, she noticed that Fu Huaizhou was about to open his door too. She quickly grabbed his shirt.
“Where do you think you’re going?” she asked, her brows furrowed in confusion.
“To your room,” Fu Huaizhou replied nonchalantly, as if it was the most natural thing in the world.
Ruan Li clung to his shirt, her expression tense. There was no time to scold him for being shameless. “There are paparazzi outside. If we get out together, we’ll be trending on social media tomorrow. And you still want to go to my room?”
“I’ll buy them off,” Fu Huaizhou said coolly.
Ruan Li wanted to argue more, but Fu Huaizhou’s assistant Qin had already opened the car door. Fu Huaizhou stood by the car, looking down at her.
At this point, Ruan Li figured that, since it wasn’t her money being spent, and since there were a lot of other crew members at the hotel, making paparazzi inevitable, he could deal with the fallout.
She swiped her room card to unlock the door. Qin had already gone to handle the situation. Meanwhile, Fu Huaizhou followed her into the room, looking as natural as if it were his own place.
“You have a perfectly good home in Yu Garden, but you just had to stay at a hotel,” Ruan Li mumbled to herself as she took off her jewelry.
The man, now loosening his tie behind her, heard her mumbling and walked closer. “You didn’t stay home either.”
“That’s because Yu Garden is too far from where I’m filming. I wouldn’t get enough sleep if I had to commute.”
“Yes, it’s quite far,” Fu Huaizhou mused.
He stared at her back with interest. Her long hair, which had been tied up earlier, now cascaded down her back, covering her delicate shoulder blades. Her slim waist stood out beneath it, creating a perfect hourglass figure.
Ruan Li felt his gaze and glanced at him through the mirror. She saw that he had undone several buttons on his black shirt, revealing hints of muscle beneath.
“Are you going to take a shower?” she asked, tilting her head. “You don’t have any clothes here. You should ask Qin to bring some.”
Fu Huaizhou walked closer, his hand resting on her shoulder as he stroked her silky hair. His voice was even lower than during the day, “Not rejecting me anymore?”
Ruan Li slapped his wandering hand off her body with a soft “Hmph.” “You should be grateful.”
The truth was, the teasing under the table and the ten minutes in the car had already sparked something inside her. With a “free duck” served on a silver platter, why not take advantage?
Fu Huaizhou chuckled at her sassy attitude.
“Hurry up and take a shower!” Ruan Li couldn’t stand his knowing laughter, as if he could see right through her.
Just as she removed her necklace and placed it on the dresser, Fu Huaizhou suddenly lifted her off the ground. Startled, she instinctively wrapped her arms around his neck.
“What are you doing? I haven’t changed yet!” she exclaimed.
“You were in such a rush for a shower,” he said, carrying her into the bathroom and setting her on the sink. The shower was already running.
Ruan Li’s dress was soaked, the wet fabric clinging to her body and highlighting every curve. She clutched Fu Huaizhou’s shirt sleeve. “Who wants to bathe with you?”
Fu Huaizhou wrapped one arm around her waist, using the other to tilt her chin toward the mirror. His lips brushed her cheek as he murmured, “Look at the expression in the mirror and say that again.”
Ruan Li raised her eyes and saw her own reflection—her eyes seductive, her lips swollen and glossy from their earlier kiss. Her wet clothes accentuated her figure, making her appear weak and boneless in his embrace.
“In the car, you were staring at me just like this,” Fu Huaizhou said, holding the tie he had just removed. He slowly began tying it around her delicate wrists.
Ruan Li didn’t understand his intentions and grew anxious.
“Don’t worry,” Fu Huaizhou whispered, gently rubbing her head as if to comfort her.
With her hands now bound by the tie, she could barely move. “Let’s take this back to the bed, okay?”
Being in the bathroom gave her the unsettling sense that she was in for a never-ending cycle of activity. She was starting to feel sorry for her poor body.
Of course, Fu Huaizhou understood her little scheme. He casually grabbed a towel and placed it under her. Then his hand slowly slid up her leg. “Let me teach you something different.”
