Chapter 124: We Are Already Together

At dawn, Reiner just opened his drowsy eyes.

Seeing Junice still fast asleep, he pinched her soft cheek and moved closer to study her.

As expected of a noble lady, her skin was smooth and delicate, truly beautiful.

Reiner thought she was still asleep, yet the next second Junice reached back with her hand.

“You… why are you in my room?” Junice lifted the quilt a little, peeked inside, then clutched it tight again and asked with a flushed face, “Reiner, what did you do to me?”

“We only had a mug of beer, and you already lost your memory?”

Junice rubbed her forehead, quickly recalled everything, and said, “Sorry… my head is spinning a bit; I just remembered.”

After speaking, she sneezed.

The weather was still a bit chilly, and catching a cold would be bad.

Reiner wrapped an arm around her waist and pulled her firmly into his arms.

At that moment Junice returned from the washroom, thinking it was bad to leave Reiner alone in the living room.

She walked up to Martina, face flushed, and said, “I like Reiner too, and I hope we can all get along… I’m willing to take my place after you!”

“You’ve got some…”

Martina swallowed the rest of her words.

(Wait, Nora is ahead of me; if we line up like this, I’ll be second?)

She cleared her throat twice and continued, “Fine, since you like Reiner too, that proves your taste is as good as mine; I, Martina, am not narrow-minded.”

Nora snorted beside her, then raised a small fist and thumped Martina on the head.

Just then Reiner heard hoofbeats, and soon the door was knocked.

He opened the door and saw an extremely familiar figure.

Reiner remembered that the white-haired old man had said the house would cost at least 40 gold coins, so this saved him half.

“Thank you, I really owe you,” Reiner said softly.

Dimas took the pouch from his belt, handed it to Reiner, and said, “There are 160 gold coins inside, 140 of which are proceeds from selling off the dragon claw for you.”

That exceeded Reiner’s expectations. “That much?”

“It was an extremely rare high-grade monster; ncounty every part is useful,” Dimas replied as he mounted his horse. “I have to train the militia outside the city now, so I’ll take my leave. You two can catch up.”

Reiner looked in the direction Dimas had come from.

He saw another familiar figure again.

She slipped into the house and hurried over to Junice. “You really came back! That’s great.”

After some small talk, Anna vividly began matchmaking the two of them.

“You don’t know… after you left Melod, Reiner was beside himself every day. To protect you, he even lowered his status and lured your brother elsewhere…”

Junice waved her hand with a smile and said softly, “Reiner has already told me all that himself.”

Anna’s eyes curved like crescents when she laughed; she stole a glance at Reiner, then bent to whisper something to Junice, making her burst into laughter.

“What are you laughing at? Hurry up! Even I can see it, and you can’t?”

Junice shook her head, took a sip of water from a wooden cup, and answered unhurriedly, “We’re already together.”
