After Contracting a Marriage with the Villain, He Can’t Escape Chapter 3

Chapter 3: Marry Me!

The dressing room was filled with the scent of burning herbs.

The man’s Adam’s apple bobbed, his jaw tense.

He grabbed Lin Xingmian’s mischievous hand, his voice hoarse, “Are you still lucid?”

An Enigma’s temporary mark could somewhat suppress an Alpha’s rut.

But judging by his state, it didn’t seem to be working at all.

Lin Xingmian’s bangs were soaked, whimpering like a kitten denied its toy.

His damp shirt revealed glimpses of his skin beneath.

Jiang Zijin’s eyes flickered, his expression flustered as he turned his face away.

He was no gentleman; if this continued, he might not be able to hold back.

“Why won’t you look at me?” Lin Xingmian pressed his hand against Jiang Zijin’s cheek, forcing him to face him.

“I was voted the white moonlight of countless Omegas. I’m beautiful!” His pretty eyes were filled with seriousness. “Take a closer look.”

Jiang Zijin’s eyes trembled, and the moment their gazes met, it was as if they were magnets drawn together, unable to look away.

As they stared at each other, something seemed to be brewing.

A layer of mist gradually clouded his light blue eyes, as if a storm was brewing.

Long, suppressed, and wild—something seemed to be pulling at them with all its might.

The man’s voice was gravelly, like sandpaper scraping against the ground,

“Shall we… do it?”

Lin Xingmian couldn’t hear what he was saying.

Slowly, Lin Xingmian propped himself up, gently licking the wound on Jiang Zijin’s lip.

The man’s Adam’s apple bobbed violently as he pressed the back of Lin Xingmian’s head, kissing him fiercely.

“…You won’t get a chance to regret this. Let’s go home,” the man’s low, hoarse voice brushed against his ear.

The next second, Lin Xingmian felt himself being lifted into the air.

Instinctively, he wrapped his arms around the man’s neck, his rapid heartbeat and scorching body temperature threatening to melt him.

All night, Lin Xingmian drifted in and out of consciousness.

In his haze, he felt like a lone boat on the sea, rising and falling with the warm waves.

The next day, sunlight squeezed through the heavy velvet curtains, casting a slanted beam on the marble floor.

A small lump on the pristine white bed moved ever so slightly.

Lin Xingmian stretched lazily under the covers, his eyelids half-open as he turned over, ready to go back to sleep.

But as he moved, a dull ache spread through his waist, his entire body feeling as if it had been taken apart and reassembled.

Lin Xingmian’s body stiffened, his dazed eyes gradually clearing.

He lay motionless, his eyes darting around to take in his surroundings.

The understated yet luxurious modern European decor, the vintage leather sofa, the bookshelf filled with foreign books and unknown antique collectibles.

Where was he?

Yesterday, he had dodged security and barged into a dressing room.

Then… he had kissed a stranger!

Memories of last night replayed in his mind—the roar of a helicopter, the dim yellow light, the fervent and urgent demands, the body as hot as a volcano…

Lin Xingmian shut his eyes tightly, pulling the blanket over his head.

He was insane!

He had kissed someone backstage! And then he had taken it further and slept with them!

In his 29 years of life, he had never done anything so outrageous!

What should he do now? How had last night’s award ceremony ended?

Lin Xingmian was completely stunned for three seconds, his mind blank.

Lin Xingmian had debuted in serious dramas, and in his previous life, he had devoted himself entirely to his acting career.

He had never been married, nor had he ever been in a romantic relationship!

Moreover, Alphas were usually the dominant ones. He had never imagined that one day, he would be the one on the bottom!!!

Lin Xingmian abruptly threw off the blanket and sat up, searching for his clothes.

After looking around, he didn’t find his clothes but instead caught sight of a pile of lace packaging on the bedside table.

Lin Xingmian: “…Damn beast! No wonder my waist hurts so much!”

Lin Xingmian wrapped the blanket tightly around himself and slowly shuffled to the bedroom door.

The living room outside was spacious and bright, with their clothes scattered everywhere.

Dragging the blanket behind him, Lin Xingmian quickly walked down the hallway.

The door to the private bathroom next to the hallway was fogged up, and the sound of running water came from inside.

Good! He’s taking a shower. By the time he’s done, I’ll have my clothes on and be long gone.

Lin Xingmian quickly picked up his clothes and went into the guest room to change.

Enduring the discomfort between his legs, he swiftly put on his clothes and slipped into his suit pants.

The suit pants were sponsored by a brand, and the waistband was a bit too loose for him.

He glanced around and noticed something reflecting a silvery light on the desk nearby.

Just as he was about to walk over to take a closer look, the faint sound of water outside stopped.

Lin Xingmian immediately grabbed his pants and pushed open the slightly ajar door.

The bathroom door opened just then, and Jiang Zijin stepped out, wrapped in a towel, his upper body bare.

The man’s hair was still dripping, water droplets falling onto his defined collarbone and chest, which bore bite marks.

Lin Xingmian averted his gaze, his expression slightly unnatural.

In the latter half of the night, he had been too exhausted to resist, wanting to sleep but unable to. Biting him a few times was… perfectly normal!

“Are you… leaving?” The man strolled over, his voice still hoarse from the morning.

“You’re going to leave after sleeping with me? How heartless.” The man sat down on the living room sofa, his eyelashes slightly raised.

The sunlight from the window fell on his long lashes, casting a shadow.

His light, Aegean Sea-like eyes seemed to hold a hint of grievance.

Lin Xingmian looked away, pretending to be calm. “…Last night, I wasn’t in my right mind. It wasn’t intentional. Whatever compensation you want, I can give it to you.”

“We’re both adults. It was just a consensual one-night thing. I’m sure you won’t take it to heart.”

Something in his words seemed to provoke Jiang Zijin, who glanced at him.

Jiang Zijin let out a light scoff. “Not in your right mind? Not taking it to heart?”

“Right, in the eyes of the great actor Lin, this is nothing.”

Lin Xingmian pursed his dry lips and didn’t respond.

Although he had acted in idol dramas, he had never actually been in a real relationship.

Most of his time and energy had been spent on set, either acting or running business errands. He had almost no experience with intimate relationships.

The series of unexpected events had caught him off guard, and he didn’t want to explain too much to the other person.

Not to mention, the person across from him was an Enigma—a gender so rare it made up less than one in ten million of the population. Due to their innate intelligence and pheromone advantages, they were usually active in the elite circles of politics, business, and scientific research.

He couldn’t afford to provoke someone like that.

“…Then what do you want?”

Jiang Zijin crossed his legs and looked down. “Then I’ll grant your wish. As for compensation…”

The man raised his eyes, a glimmer of light flashing across his calm gaze. “I want you to marry me!”
