After that dream-like moment, Su Qingqing remained awake—though her eyes were closed and her body unmoving. Her mind raced as unfamiliar memories settled in.
She had indeed transmigrated.
To a place called the Qingyun Dynasty—a land that didn’t even exist in real history.
And she now lived in Jixiang Village, a remote, impoverished place in the far northwest of the dynasty.
Su Qingqing felt like she’d fallen into a farming novel—except it wasn’t even the one she was reading before she passed out. It was worse. She had no script to follow, no plot to rely on.
In the 21st century, she had everything: loving parents, a bright future, a good education.
Now, her only comfort was a frail child who called her “Mom.”
And worst of all—her body had been dumped in the mountains like trash by her husband’s family, before she’d even died.
Tears welled in her eyes as she thought of her modern parents, who must be mourning a daughter they thought was gone forever.
Don’t worry, Mom and Dad, she silently vowed. I’ll live well.
Her stomach growled painfully. She spotted some wild fruits nearby and forced herself to eat.
Then she remembered—the original Su Qingqing had a younger brother. Out of desperation, she had sold him to a butcher in town.
Now that she was here, Su Qingqing was determined to get him back.
Just as she was about to set off, she spotted a trail of footprints—likely those who had dumped her here. She followed them.
But suddenly, she froze.
A low growl echoed behind her.
A giant grey wolf.
It crouched low, drooling, eyes fixed on her like prey.
Her heart pounded. With no other choice, she grabbed a rock and hurled it at the beast with all her might.
She thought she would die here—teeth tearing through her neck.
But to her shock, the rock smashed straight into the wolf’s head. Blood sprayed as it crumpled to the ground.
Su Qingqing: “…”
Did she just… kill a wolf? With one rock?
She threw another stone at a nearby tree—and watched it split in half.
Was this divine strength?
She had inherited not just a body, but power!
Elated, she picked up the wolf’s massive corpse with ease and dragged it into the bushes to hide.
Then she pressed on—she needed to reach Xiahe Town and find her brother.
After walking for hours, she finally arrived, body aching and on the verge of collapse.
At last, she found the house where the boy had been sold—to a man named Butcher Hu.
She knocked on the door.
A gruff voice barked, “No meat left! Come back tomorrow!”
“I’m not here to buy meat. I came for my brother, Su Zijin.”
The butcher opened the door, sneering. “He’s gone. Ran off. And you owe me ten taels of silver!”
“I’ll repay it,” Su Qingqing said coldly. “Now step aside.”
When he refused, she lost patience and shoved him.
He flew backward, stunned.
She searched the house—no sign of her brother.
Grabbing the butcher by the collar, she growled, “Where is he?”
But he said nothing.
Just then, a bruised woman peeked out and whispered, “He really did run away. He’s not here.”
Su Qingqing’s heart sank.
Where had her brother gone?

Seems like Chpt 1 is a different story from Chpt 2 despite the same MC name?
I’m currently fixing it so the story flows properly starting from Chapter 2. Thanks for the heads-up!
