Chapter 17: Twin Babies, Wanwan Takes on a Master

After arranging for the children, Lin Luoluo went to check on the grain sales.

Lin Zhong had made arrangements with the owners of several grain shops, and when Lin Luoluo arrived, they quickly came over to greet her.

Bai Ling proudly tilted its head like a fox.

Bai Ling looked at her blankly, not fully understanding its master’s thoughts. Not understanding, it decided not to think too hard and lay down on the grass, closing its eyes for a nap.

Hearing this, everyone sighed in relief, but before they could relax fully, Doctor Zhou added, “Congratulations, miss, you’re carrying twins.”

“Twins?” Aunt Zhong asked.

“Dr., does ‘twins’ mean there are two babies?” Wanwan asked eagerly.

“Yes! Maybe one will be a little master and the other a little miss. This way, the young lady will have both sons and daughters,” Chun Tao chimed in.

“Master is really impressive, two in one go!” the children also chatted excitedly.

Lin Zhong then instructed the waiter to bring more dishes, so they could celebrate this joyful occasion.

Only Lin Luoluo remained lost in thought, her mind repeating Doctor Zhou’s words, “You’re carrying twins.” It took her a while to come back to her senses.

She gently rubbed her belly, a smile of happiness spreading across her face. “This is so wonderful. I’m going to have two babies!”

Aunt Zhong, though happy, still expressed some concern. “Doctor Zhou, do you think you could stay with us until the master gives birth? Giving birth is always a dangerous ordeal for women, especially with twins.”

Hearing Aunt Zhong’s words, Lin Luoluo froze. ‘That’s right! In this ancient time, there’s no such thing as a cesarean section. Giving birth to twins naturally is indeed risky.’

Bai Ling, sensing her thoughts, responded in the space.

“Master, don’t worry. As long as I’m here, you will be safe.”

With Bai Ling’s reassurance, Lin Luoluo felt at ease.

“I had planned to stay until the girl gives birth. Don’t worry! With me here, everything will be fine,” Doctor Zhou said.

When Aunt Zhong heard that Doctor Zhou would stay, she finally relaxed.

Doctor Zhou took it and looked at it, growing increasingly shocked.

Chun Tao quickly poured tea for Wanwan, who took the cup with both hands, raising it to Doctor Zhou’s forehead.

“Yes, Master!”

After everything was done, Doctor Zhou, now looking eager to please, quietly approached Lin Luoluo and whispered, “Girl, about that formula?”

Lin Luoluo laughed and handed it to him. “Take this one for now. I’ll give you the rest later.”

Doctor Zhou carefully took the formula and placed it in his robe, quickly finishing his dinner before running off to his room to study.

Once he was gone, Wanwan clung to Lin Luoluo’s arm, acting sweet.

“Big sister, thank you! I will study hard.”

“No need to thank me. As long as you’re safe and happy, that’s all I want. Now go eat your meal,” Lin Luoluo said, patting her head.
