After Feeding the Lilliputian Kingdom, I Got Rich Through Interdimensional Trading Chapter 27: The Rescue

This was the first time Pei Hao had witnessed the descent of the goddess at night. He had always assumed that the guardian deity could only awaken during the day.

The arrival of the goddess signified the end of the storm, and a month after the apocalypse began, he found himself once again gazing at the long-lost moon.

It was a new moon.

Thin and curved like a willow leaf, it resembled the delicate eyebrows of a young girl.

So bright, so gentle—perhaps it even resembled the goddess’s smiling eyes?

As the life-threatening crisis passed and the intense pressure suddenly lifted, Pei Hao slumped against the doorframe, staring up at the sky with a dumbfounded expression.

Slowly, emotions began to swell within him, and before he knew it, his eyes were filled with tears.

Remembering that he hadn’t yet responded to the goddess’s question, he quickly wiped his face, trying to control his emotions as he shouted, “We’re fine! You arrived just in time and saved us again. I don’t even know how we’ll ever repay you. Should I become your attendant?”

The goddess’s light laughter echoed from the sky. “You want to shave your head and become a monk? But I’m not the Bodhisattva Guanyin.”

Their lighthearted exchange helped to ease the tension that had been brought on by the disaster, and the others began to relax as well.

They were relieved to have escaped death and to be safe in this small world protected by divine power, feeling oddly secure despite the chaos around them.

Pei Yan stepped forward and respectfully bowed.

His refined features were now full of respect, with no trace of the previous caution or doubt.

“Thank you for saving all of us! The Pei family is willing to do anything to repay your kindness in the future!”

“But there’s something I need to trouble you with. Xu Da and Zhang Yong were injured and fell unconscious while descending the mountain earlier. They were swept away by the earthquake and the wind. If possible, could you help search for them?”

Lian Yu quickly added, “If it’s convenient, could you also check on the yacht to make sure everyone there is safe?”

Outside the bookshelf, Yun Zhen was surprised that they had encountered such danger, and she readily agreed. “No problem, leave it to me.”

She opened the system map and began scanning, using the [Camera] feature to search.

A small picture-in-picture window appeared in the upper right corner of the screen, displaying the miniaturized images of each location she selected in real-time.

The more Yun Zhen looked, the deeper her frown became.

She hadn’t expected the disaster to be even more terrifying than she had imagined, nearly tearing Mount Yulong apart.

The earthquake was still raging, the mudslide was roaring down the mountain, and the massive fissures were opening and closing as if trying to swallow all life on the surface.

Yun Zhen quickly searched, and after 10 minutes, she finally spotted something unusual in the small window.

In a section of the forest that had mostly collapsed, there was a transparent, whitish balloon trapped among the tangled, fallen trees. Through the murky surface, she could make out someone inside.

Supporting the villa with her left hand, Yun Zhen operated the system screen with her right hand.

Skillfully, she activated the navigation feature and teleported herself, along with the house, to the location.

The place wasn’t too far away, and it took about half a minute to arrive.

Yun Zhen retrieved the balloon from the trees and curiously examined it.

The object was about the size of her fist, with a protective double-layer structure, and inside was an unconscious Lilliputian who didn’t seem to be in good condition.

She placed the balloon in the villa’s courtyard, where Pei Yan and the others immediately surrounded it to rescue the person inside.

The rest of the treatment was up to them since she, as a “goddess,” had no medical knowledge.

The Lilliputian house was equipped with various injury and inflammation treatments, but beyond that, they would have to rely on fate.

Yun Zhen wasted no time continuing her search for the next injured person.

Five minutes later, she found Xu Da trapped in a crevice. Rescuing him took some extra effort.

Xu Da had fallen into the crevice when it opened and was severely crushed when it closed again, squeezing the entire protective balloon flat like a persimmon. Had she arrived any later, the protective capsule might have burst completely, crushing the injured Xu Da to death.

Yun Zhen wedged a large weight into the crevice, then carefully reached in to pull Xu Da out.

When that didn’t work, she poured a bowl of peanut oil to lubricate the space and slowly maneuvered him free.

His injuries were severe, with dried blood caked over his head.

Yun Zhen couldn’t help but sigh as she looked at him, silently praying for his swift recovery.

With both missing individuals safely retrieved, she then transported the villa to the temporary dock.

The people on the Lian family yacht were eagerly waiting, and when they saw the villa flying toward them, they waved and shouted.

“Over here! How are you all? Is everyone safe?”

“Did you find Xu Da and Zhang Yong?”

Hearing the booming voice of Ou Shengjie, Gao Yun quickly walked to the iron gate of the courtyard to respond.

“We found them both and are treating them now. It’s not as bad as we feared, so don’t worry.”

The Lilliputian house floated in mid-air, while the yacht bobbed on the water below.

The surrounding noise from the ongoing disaster was deafening, and both sides had to shout to be heard.

Although Yun Zhen had driven away the thunderstorm over Mount Yulong, the intense earthquake hadn’t yet subsided. The distant tsunami kept sending wave after wave, making it hard for those on the yacht.

After thinking for a moment, Yun Zhen used her right hand to lift the yacht out of the water, holding it in the air alongside the Lilliputian house. With the house and yacht floating side by side, communication and the transfer of supplies became much easier.

The people on the yacht were startled, not expecting the goddess to make them fly as well.

The violent shaking immediately stopped, and the seasick bodyguards quickly felt much better.

“Thank you, goddess!”

“You truly are a merciful and kind deity!”

“When I return to the capital, I’ll buy a lot of incense and paper money. I’ll offer them every day to repay the goddess’s life-saving grace.”

“You fool! The goddess doesn’t need incense and paper money. You should offer gold or other interesting items.”

Listening to their grateful words, Yun Zhen smiled without saying much.

Whether they repaid her or not didn’t really matter. As long as everyone was safe, it was worth getting up in the middle of the night, worrying, and exerting herself.

She glanced at the Lilliputian house and yacht in her hands and suddenly realized that the time-space interaction system was even more powerful than she had imagined.

The Lilliputian house weighed 50 pounds. Outside the bookshelf, Yun Zhen needed both hands to lift it with effort.

The Lian family’s yacht was enormous, and even within the bookshelf, it measured over a meter in length.

But now, she was holding these two massive objects with ease, one in each hand.

She could barely feel their weight, and it took almost no effort at all.

How strange.

Yun Zhen gazed at them curiously, her mind wandering as she pondered the system’s mechanisms.

Anyway, there was nothing else to do, and she’d have to maintain this position until the disaster was over.

The multi-layered catastrophe raged on for nearly half the night, only calming down around 3:30 a.m.

The strongest earthquake hit at 1:30 a.m., lasting an astonishing 20 minutes!

After that, dozens of aftershocks occurred, some strong and some weak, all still powerful enough to cause considerable destruction.

The thunderstorm, however, ended a bit earlier, gradually calming down before 3 a.m.

During this time, Yun Zhen kept holding the Lilliputian house and the yacht, not daring to lower her hands.

When her arms grew tired, she took everyone on a tour of Mount Yulong, gently shaking her arms to stretch her muscles. She probably looked silly, like someone practicing clumsy Tai Chi.

The Lilliputians, unaware of the truth, assumed the goddess had some profound reason for her actions. They gathered by the edge of the ship, observing closely. Some even pulled out their wristbands to record and take notes, seriously analyzing her movements.

Yun Zhen: “…”

I’m just tired, that’s all.
