Chapter 7
Song Chenchen left quickly and met Director Tu from the Political Department on the way back.
Damn, could he have seen me meeting Gu Haiyang?
Song Chenchen’s heart tightened.
“Xiao Song? You and Xiao Ou have been married for a while now. When can you come to my house for dinner together?
Your sister-in-law has been nagging about wanting to meet you two.
Also, hurry up and have a baby. The company needs a captain like your Xiao Ou, whose children are old enough to help with cooking.”
“Oh, Director. He’s too busy and rarely at home. Let’s wait until he comes back.”
Director Tu repeated these words every time he met her, and he did so for three months.
Song Chenchen’s ears had long been callused from hearing so much, she responded with a few words and quickly slipped away.
The agency allocated a two-bedroom apartment to Ou Mobei and Song Chenchen.
When I returned to the military compound, it was already night.
I pushed the door open and the room was pitch black.
There was a faint smell of tobacco in the air.
Song Chenchen was stunned. Ou Mobei almost never smoked because of his bomb disposal job.
Not far away, there was a red dot that flickered.
She turned on the light and was startled by the person in front of her.
I saw Ou Mobei standing in front of the window. His camouflage uniform was still covered with gunpowder and dust. The button on his collar was unbuttoned, and there was a lot of cigarette ash in his hand.
“Are you surprised to see me?”
In response to Ou Mobei’s question, Song Chenchen shook his head.
“Where have you been? It’s almost lights out at this hour.”
Ou Mobei’s tone was a little cold, and Song Chenchen couldn’t tell his emotions.
At this moment, she was like a child who had done something bad, her heart was in her throat and her hands were clenched tightly.
“Didn’t you say you’d be back the day after tomorrow?”
“The original plan was the day after tomorrow.”
Ou Mobei turned and walked forward, putting out the cigarette in his hand in the ashtray on the coffee table.
Song Chenchen smelled the strong smell of tobacco on him and wondered how many cigarettes he had smoked.
She subconsciously looked at the coffee table and saw more than a dozen cigarette butts scattered in the ashtray.
“You weren’t at home, and Nan Nan was also in the kindergarten. After dinner, I went for a walk with some female soldiers.”
Song Chenchen had never seen Ou Mobei smoke so many cigarettes.
“Are you in a bad mood? You smoke so much.”
Ou Mobei didn’t answer. He reached out and lifted Song Chenchen’s chin, staring at her face.
He had to admit that Song Chenchen was indeed one of the few pretty female cadres in the military region.
Not only that, her skin is fair and translucent, and her eyes are so lively that they seem to be able to speak.
“I’ll ask you again, where did you go?”
Song Chenchen’s heart was pounding, and his originally arrogant personality disappeared at this moment.
“I, I went to see a comrade who just came back from visiting his family.”
“A man?”
“Of course it’s a woman.”
Song Chenchen forced himself to calm down and answer Ou Mobei’s questions.
During their marriage, Song Chenchen didn’t know much about Ou Mobei.
However, from their daily married life, she felt that Ou Mobei had a strong possessiveness.
There was no way she could tell Ou Mobei about her meeting with Gu Haiyang.
After all, they wouldn’t see each other again. Better to keep things simple.
Ou Mobei’s voice was extremely cold.
“Oh, a woman, huh?”
He curled his lips meaningfully, then without saying a word, he rubbed Song Chenchen’s waist with one hand, turned around, and brought her to the bed.
He untied the tendons that bound Song Chenchen’s hair and inserted his fingertips into her hair…
“Turn off the lights…”
Ou Mobei didn’t love her.
At this moment, Song Chenchen was very sure.
Because, every time at this moment, she was filled with humiliation.
Fortunately, he seemed to be quite attached to her body.
Maybe because he was in a bad mood, Ou Mobei was particularly unkind to her when he was “torturing” her today, and he didn’t stop until midnight.
After finishing, Ou Mobei turned on the bedside lamp, then threw the military blanket on Song Chenchen and stood up.
In less than two minutes, he tidied himself up and went into the bathroom.
Only Song Chenchen, who was stripped naked, was left lying powerlessly on the bed.
She was wrapped tightly in her military blanket, feeling like she was falling apart.
She felt weak all over and sweat was still pouring out. She felt very uncomfortable.
Because she felt very painful for a while between the two of them just now, she could only endure it.
She curled up and lay on her side, and in her peripheral vision she saw a mess at the end of the bed.
Fortunately, they already have Nan Nan, so it is impossible for them to have another child.
Ou Mobei’s measures have always been particularly effective, and as a military doctor, she is very sure of this.
Song Chenchen thought, this might be the only way he was serious and responsible about himself.
At least it saves you from the pain of childbirth or abortion.
Not long after, Ou Mobei came out of the bathroom after taking a shower. He saw Song Chenchen still curled up on his side on the bed.
“Don’t you want to go wash up?”
Ou Mobei’s voice was cold and dull.
Song Chenchen could only sigh softly. Could it be that he was annoyed even if she lay down for a while because she was in pain or tired?
The benefits of this political department are really a rip-off.
If she hadn’t tried to stay in the field hospital in order to escape the trouble her uncle and aunt brought her.
She simply refused to agree to this mismatched military marriage.
Song Chenchen struggled to get up wrapped in a blanket.
“Can you turn off the lights? It’s late at night and the room is too bright.”
She didn’t want to see Ou Mobei’s cold face at all, and she didn’t want him to see her body half wrapped in a blanket.
“That’s not necessary…”
Ou Mobei lit a cigarette, took a deep puff, and simply uttered three words, which made Song Chenchen’s heart even colder.
She staggered and walked barefoot towards the bathroom.
Not to mention how obviously awkward the posture is.
Only then did Ou Mobei realize something.
As Song Chenchen passed by him, he put his arms around her soft waist.
He lowered his eyes and looked Song Chenchen up and down.
“Did it hurt you just now?”
Tears instantly welled up in Song Chenchen’s eyes.
Ou Mobei, are you blind?
Do I need to tell you how much force I used just now?
Song Chenchen still bit her lower lip proudly, lowering her head and refusing to look at Ou Mobei.
He had never treated her like this before, even though there was no emotional basis between them.
“No, it’s okay…”
Without waiting for Song Chenchen to finish.
She only felt her body floating in the air and being held horizontally by Ou Mobei.
Song Chenchen became even more nervous, and she gripped the blanket even tighter.
“Come, let me see…”
Ou Mobei carried her towards the bathroom…
It was the first time that Ou Mobei was so considerate to her.
After finishing the work, he would clean himself up, wash up and leave.
He never stayed at home overnight because he was busy with work in the company.
His feelings towards Song Chenchen were more like possession, a satisfaction of needs.
Song Chenchen knew that in this era, the only way out for a couple, especially for soldiers, was for them to live happily together.
Divorce and breakup are simply impossible unless you destroy your own future.
She spent half an hour in the bathroom washing.
When she came out, Ou Mobei was no longer there.
Song Chenchen was not surprised. Isn’t it like this every time?
She was tired and sleepy, and finally fell into a deep sleep on the bed…
