Chapter 18: Report
“You guys are new here, right?” The man’s tone was unkind, and his face was also fierce.
Neither the two people nor the dog reacted.
Ma Fugui’s eyes darkened, feeling that Zhuo Le didn’t take him seriously, and his expression became even fiercer: “Since you’re new here, I’ll forgive you once, but remember this in the future, every industry has its rules, don’t play petty tricks, or you won’t know how you died.
You’re not allowed to sign the contract, and you’re not allowed to appear on the set again in the future, did you hear me?”
Wei Xiaojia was a little scared and grabbed Zhuo Le’s hand tightly. Mountain King stood in front of the mother and son, its big dog head lowered, and its heterochromatic eyes flashed with a ghostly light.
The border collie on the opposite side clamped its tail and hid behind Ma Fugui in fear.
Ma Fugui was also a little afraid of Mountain King, and also felt that the border collie had embarrassed him, so he glared at Zhuo Le fiercely: “Did you hear me or not? Are you deaf or mute?”
Zhuo Le nodded: “I heard you.”
Ma Fugui was satisfied, snorted coldly, and strode away, his back a little flustered, probably really afraid of Mountain King.
Wei Xiaojia looked at Zhuo Le: “Mommy, can’t Mountain King act anymore?”
Zhuo Le looked at Wei Xiaojia in confusion: “Why?”
“That fierce uncle said we’re not allowed to sign the contract, and we’re not allowed to go to the set.”
Zhuo Le smiled and touched her son’s little face: “The bad uncle asked if I heard him, and Mommy said I heard him.”
Wei Xiaojia???
Zhuo Le raised her lips: “Let’s go, let’s go home and sleep.”
The next day dawned, and Wei Xiaojia took Mountain King to the entrance of the community to buy buns and porridge to bring home.
Zhuo Le scratched her hair, stretched, and got up.
After washing up, she ate the breakfast her son bought back, full of energy.
Today, Zhuo Le wore a pair of pure blue wide-leg pants, a fitted white T-shirt, braided a loose braid, and wore a wide-brimmed hat. Without makeup, she was still radiant.
“Son, does Mommy look good?”
She spun around in front of Wei Xiaojia.
Wei Xiaojia’s eyes sparkled: “Good-looking, Mommy is the most good-looking.”
Zhuo Le pinched Wei Xiaojia’s little face with satisfaction: “Okay, let’s go.”
The little guy wore a half-new beige jacket, a pair of five-point pants made from the leftover fabric from the wide-leg pants Zhuo Le made, revealing his fleshy arms and legs, and had a buzz cut like his dad, making the little guy look cute and silly.
He carried a water bottle on his back, and also carried Zhuo Le’s small bag and his own small bag.
Mountain King had a cloth bag on his back, with fruit on one side and snacks on the other.
The two people and the dog set off.
There were two scenes in the park, yesterday was the first day of the audition, and Zhuo Le and the others happened to be there at the right time. Today was the official start of filming.
It was eight o’clock in the morning, and the sun had already risen to the sky.
The people around who had nothing to do knew that someone was filming in the park today, and came early to watch the excitement.
When the two people and the dog arrived, they almost couldn’t squeeze in.
Fortunately, the stagehand Xiao Fang had been waiting for them early and led them in smoothly.
Ma Fugui also came early, sneaking into the film crew through the back door, trying to please everyone and seeking opportunities.
Seeing Zhuo Le, his eyes almost popped out. That bitch dared to disobey him.
Zhuo Le saw him, but didn’t care.
Following Fang Yuan, she found the assistant director Zhu Cao and signed the contract.
Wei Xiaojia accompanied Mountain King to learn about filming. It was Mountain King’s first time officially filming, and there were many things to learn.
Fortunately, it was a dog, and the requirements weren’t that strict.
Zhuo Le looked at the contract, and signed it directly when there were no problems. If there were no accidents, she could have an income of five hundred after Mountain King finished filming this show, which was definitely a high salary in this era.
Her salted fish life had hope for the future.
“Assistant Director, your recliner is good, where did you buy it? I’ll buy one too when I get back.” It was a portable folding recliner, so she could bring it with her when Mountain King was filming in the future, convenient and comfortable.
Placed in the shade of a tree, eating snacks, and shaking my legs, I don’t know how much more comfortable life could be.
Zhu Cao looked at her posture and was inexplicably envious.
“It was bought at a general outdoor equipment store. This thing isn’t expensive, if you like it, I’ll just give you this one.”
Zhuo Le waved her hand: “No need to give it to me, I can buy it myself. I’m too embarrassed to take things from your public office.”
Zhu Cao tried to persuade her a few times, but Zhuo Le insisted, so he didn’t say anything more.
Filming began, and he had to get busy, so he couldn’t continue to accompany Zhuo Le. He said a few words and left.
Zhuo Le leisurely lay in the shade of the tree, read a book for a while, and watched Mountain King and Wei Xiaojia for a while.
The speed at which one person and one dog accepted new things was quite fast, and now they fully understood what filming was.
As Mountain King’s guardian, Wei Xiaojia stayed by his side at all times. When Mountain King was annoyed by the two-legged beasts, he would hug and comfort him, a small one, acting like a little adult in a serious manner.
He also ran over from time to time to take care of his mother, feeding her water and food, and telling her not to be greedy, or her tummy would hurt.
His well-behaved appearance melted the hearts of the people on the scene.
After Mountain King was familiar with the process, positioning, and plot, Wei Xiaojia successfully retired and ran to Zhuo Le’s side, nestled in her arms, and hugged the water bottle and chugged down half a pot.
His little head was wet with sweat, his face was flushed, and his eyes were frighteningly bright.
“Is it fun?”
Zhuo Le took out a handkerchief to wipe the little guy’s face.
Wei Xiaojia nodded: “It’s fun, Mommy, filming is really interesting.”
Zhuo Le smiled: “I’m glad you’re happy, eat an apple and rest for a while.”
“Okay, Mommy, read to me.”
Zhuo Le could still satisfy this little request.
She took out the book she was reading and continued reading aloud from where she had left off.
Her voice was very soft, but it carried far, with an ethereal feeling, and even the hot air was dyed with a hint of coolness.
Wei Xiaojia shook his little legs, gnawed on an apple, and murmured along.
When passing by the mother and son, people would subconsciously lighten their movements, so as not to disturb them.
“Make way, make way.”
Several fierce-looking men, carrying iron rods, iron rings, and ropes, came aggressively.
They pushed through the crowd and walked inside, and curses were constantly heard wherever they went.
The men didn’t care and went straight to the film crew.
“Stop filming, what are you filming? A bunch of guys who have nothing better to do after eating their fill.
Stand back, or if someone gets hurt by mistake, don’t blame me for not reminding you.”
The group of people looked too fierce, and the film crew didn’t dare to stop them, and retreated one after another.
Hu Shuo frowned: “Who are you people? What do you want to do?”
The leading man was full of ruffianism and glanced at Hu Shuo with disdain: “We are from the city safety team, we received a report saying that there was a vicious dog hurting people, and we came to catch the dog.
You better get out of the way, or we’ll take you back to investigate and see if you guys are compliant.”
In the 1980s, urban management functions were scattered among various departments such as public security, health, and supply and marketing, and there was no clearly established urban management department.
So the team in front of them was a temporary unit during the transition period.
They had some authority, but not much, and could only be considered as assistants.
Hu Shuo’s face was dark: “We have a permit from the Ministry of Culture, and all kinds of certificates and documents are complete, so we’re not afraid of your investigation.
There is no vicious dog hurting people here, you’ve come to the wrong place, leave quickly.”
The man curled his lips and sneered: “Whether there is or not is not up to you to say. Whose dog is that? Did you get a dog license? Do you have relevant documents?
Such a big dog, don’t you know that you can’t just bring it to crowded places?
Come on, take the dog away and take it back for investigation.”
