Chapter 24: The Tormented Child
“Are you hungry? The food will take a while, sit down first, I’ll pour you a bowl of water to drink.”
The old lady was very enthusiastic and didn’t want to talk much about the neighboring yard, and Zhuo Le didn’t ask any further questions.
She sat down on a small stool next to her and admired the rural scenery.
Du Xiujuan brought out two bowls of sugar water for the mother and son. Hot sugar water on a hot day was truly enthusiastic.
“Thank you, Grandma. Grandma, can I pour it into my water bottle and drink it slowly? I’m not too thirsty right now, I can’t finish it all in one go.”
Wei Xiaojia still had some EQ. He was embarrassed to say it was too hot.
Zhuo Le suppressed a smile. Du Xiujuan didn’t notice the little guy’s thoughts and praised him for being smart.
“Sure, drink it however you want.”
Wei Xiaojia smiled and took a sip, shivering from the heat, and quickly poured it into the water bottle. Without Zhuo Le having to ask, the little guy consciously took Zhuo Le’s bowl and did the same.
Their water bottle was already empty, just enough to hold it.
Du Xiujuan was busy cooking. Besides her, there were also her eldest daughter-in-law and second daughter-in-law. It was a bit difficult for three women to cook for twenty or thirty people.
She didn’t have time to chat with Zhuo Le, so she told Zhuo Le to play as she pleased and not to be polite.
The beating and scolding in the neighboring yard continued. Wei Xiaojia couldn’t bear to hear it and wanted to help several times.
Zhuo Le didn’t say anything. It was up to the little guy to decide what to do.
Nothing is absolute. There were good and bad consequences for the little guy helping. Only by experiencing it would he know what it was like.
“Pa…”
The stick hit his head, breaking his head and the stick.
The hesitant Wei Xiaojia turned around and rushed in, pushed Aunt Ma away, and stood timidly but firmly in front of the little boy: “You, don’t hit him, if you keep hitting him, the little brother will be beaten to death.”
Aunt Ma was tall and big, and was only staggered by Wei Xiaojia’s unintentional push.
She didn’t expect anyone to dare to interfere in her family affairs, and sneered.
“Where did this little bastard come from, daring to interfere in my business, get lost.”
A palm as big as a cattail fan slapped towards Wei Xiaojia’s head.
Wei Xiaojia was so frightened that his eyes trembled twice, and he used the self-defense method his father taught him to resist.
But in the face of absolute power, his small body couldn’t handle it at all.
Zhuo Le broke a fence and knocked it towards Aunt Ma’s hand: “Talk if you want to talk, don’t use your hands.”
Aunt Ma was hit and felt that her entire arm was numb.
She glared fiercely at Zhuo Le, and when she met her fox-like face, the ferocity in her eyes became even stronger.
“A whore ridden by thousands of men, daring to interfere in my business, I’ll tear you apart.”
When her tall and strong body pounced towards Zhuo Le, her momentum was strong.
She also relied on this strong body to run rampant in the village, and no one dared to provoke her.
Zhuo Le spun around to avoid her and kicked Aunt Ma in the back of the knee.
Aunt Ma’s tall body knelt straight down, kneeling out a hole in the muddy courtyard, her knees almost shattered, and she screamed miserably.
“You, you, you… I’m going to sue you.”
Zhuo Le was puzzled: “You know to sue me, which means you have legal awareness, so why are you still abusing children so much and running rampant, aren’t you afraid of going to jail? Or do you have someone in the police station?”
Aunt Ma shouted with red eyes: “What nonsense are you talking about? I’m disciplining my disobedient son, why should the police arrest me?
His life was given to him by me, I can do whatever I want, no one can control me.
But I will definitely sue you, you little bitch, for trespassing and intentionally hurting someone, you wait for me.”
Zhuo Le clicked her tongue. She knew about trespassing and intentionally hurting someone, so she had something in her stomach.
“Okay, go ahead and sue, I’m not leaving, I’ll wait for you here.”
Aunt Ma paused for a moment. In the past, when she said this so confidently, who wouldn’t be afraid and soften towards her?
This bitch dared to stand up to her?
She had actually only learned a few bluffing words from others, and she didn’t dare to really go to the authorities.
“Bah, you want me to sue, I’ll sue, who do you think you are, get out, get out of my house.
Shameless whore, flaunting your fox-like face everywhere to seduce men, I’m a widow, there are no men in my house, and this little beast is too small to satisfy you, get out quickly.”
It was truly unbearable to hear.
Zhuo Le stared at Aunt Ma quietly.
Wei Xiaojia didn’t quite understand, but he knew she was scolding his mom, and his little face turned red with anger: “You big bad guy, don’t bully my mom.”
“Little bastard, I’m just bullying her, what are you going to do about it?”
Wei Xiaojia couldn’t do anything, he could only pant in anger, his eyes red, and tears falling.
Zhuo Le inexplicably smiled, pulled the little guy into her arms, and patted him gently.
“Pa.”
A slap landed unexpectedly on Aunt Ma’s smug face.
Aunt Ma was stunned by the slap, and after a moment, she stood up and pounced on Zhuo Le.
“Bitch, I’m going to tear you apart.”
The roar like a beast resounded through the countryside.
“Bang…”
The woman and the courtyard door flew together to the road outside the courtyard, at the feet of Du Xiujuan and her daughters-in-law.
The three women had come out to see what was happening after hearing the roar, but they didn’t expect to see such an explosive scene.
How did the person fly into the two-meter-high sky?
Aunt Ma, who fell to the ground, didn’t die, but she wailed particularly miserably.
“Girl, girl? This, this, this…”
Du Xiujuan, a country old lady, had never seen such a big scene.
Zhuo Le smiled at her, pulled up the child on the ground, the child had already fainted, and his head was still bleeding: “Madam, do you have a clinic here?”
“Oh, what a sin, how did it get like this? Yes, yes, yes, eldest daughter-in-law, quickly, take the child to the clinic.” The old lady’s eldest daughter-in-law was in her forties, a country woman who was used to doing farm work, strong and sturdy.
She held the child in her arms easily.
They were all warm-hearted people, even though they knew what kind of person Aunt Ma was, they didn’t stay out of it at this time and quickly ran to the clinic.
Zhuo Le didn’t follow, and asked the old lady: “Madam, have you seen Aunt Ma’s husband?”
Du Xiujuan looked blank: “I’ve seen him, I watched him grow up since I was a child. That child was the youngest son of Chen Shu and his wife, they loved him like their own eyes, and raised him a bit out of tune.”
Out of tune was still polite, in fact, he was just a hooligan, stealing, cheating, and doing everything.
That kid was not tall, thin and small like a chick, but he didn’t expect to find a wife who was tall and strong.
Son, can you let Mom use your drawing book?
The little guy rubbed his face in Zhuo Le’s arms and took out his drawing book.
Zhuo Le sat down on the spot: “Madam, can you describe the man’s appearance?”
This kind of request was really the first time in her life: “Girl, what are you going to use it for?”
Zhuo Le smiled: “It’s useful.”
The old lady was silent for a moment. They, these country old women, really didn’t understand the thoughts of city people.
Chen Bao had been dead for ten years, and her memory was a bit blurry. The old lady opened her mouth uncertainly.
Zhuo Le started to draw according to her description, asking a question from time to time.
When the old lady was really unsure, her second daughter-in-law would also help out from the side.
In just ten minutes, the two women were shocked.
“Hey, yes, yes, yes, that’s what he looks like, girl, you’re too amazing, aren’t you?”
Zhuo Le smiled and started drawing again, drawing Aunt Ma, which only took three minutes.
The two women marveled, and when they thought it was over, Zhuo Le started drawing again.
How old is their child?
Ten years old, should be nine and a half years old, born in December, will be ten years old in December.
Ten years old, the child just now looked only seven or eight years old, he was really badly tormented.
Zhuo Le’s pen moved very quickly, and after five minutes, a portrait of a ten-year-old child came out.
The three portraits were placed in front of the two women: “Madam, sister-in-law, take a look, do they look alike?”
“Yes, yes, yes.” The two women responded repeatedly, it was obvious that they were a family, it was too magical.
Zhuo Le said: “But the child just now doesn’t look like them, please call the police, someone is abducting a child.”
Aunt Ma’s wailing stopped.
