Chapter 33: Changing Times
Yan Su, with a dark face, led the two people and a dog to their occupied territory.
“This is my boyfriend.”
A man in his twenties with flowing long hair, slender and tall, fair skin, and resembling a celebrity, looked up from his busy work and smiled friendly at Zhuo Le.
Seeing Yan Su carrying things in her hand, he quickly took them, handed over a stool and water, and said, “Sit down and rest.” His voice was like a clear spring flowing over rocks, crisp and bright.
Yan Su nodded in satisfaction and glanced at Zhuo Le.
Zhuo Le secretly said “Oh yo,” the rich woman is really fashionable, raising a young boy toy.
The two were about ten years apart, but the rich woman maintained herself well and didn’t look old, they looked well-matched.
“Your boyfriend is so handsome, and a great warm man, good in the hall and good in the kitchen, Director Yan is really blessed.”
Zhuo Le’s eyes only had pure surprise and appreciation, without contempt or disgust, Yan Su was a little more satisfied with her.
In the past, people who knew she was keeping a man would all compliment her on the surface, but secretly scold her for being shameless and disgusting.
Those people were just jealous of her.
She has money, what’s wrong with finding a young man?
“I don’t need you to say it.”
Shanda Wang put down his things and went to train Bao’er.
Zhuo Le could see that the rich woman was just a tsundere, because she had money and looks, and a bit of superiority.
It was hers, no problem.
“Son, bring out Mom’s chair first.”
“Coming, Mom.” The little figure busied himself, set up the chair, and handed his old mother water and snacks, thoughtfully lighting mosquito repellent incense.
Without his old mother’s instructions, he actively took the ingredients they brought to help the handsome uncle.
The little one did it in a decent manner, and cooperated with the handsome uncle very well.
Yan Su’s eyes moved back and forth between the mother and son, becoming more and more incredible.
“Your son is four years old, right? You’re abusing him like this?”
Zhuo Le fanned herself: “How can it be abuse, I’m cultivating his hands-on ability, I don’t know how many girls will thank me in the future, look at you, aren’t you very grateful to the handsome guy’s mom?
Besides, what’s wrong with a son being filial to his mother?”
Yan Su snorted coldly, finally seeing someone more outrageous than herself, no wonder she didn’t react strangely to her keeping a man.
She looked at Bao’er, who was rolling on the ground with the two dogs, and subconsciously wanted to hug him over.
She thought about it and held back.
“I’m warning you, if your dog injures my Bao’er, I won’t spare them.”
Zhuo Le looked over with a smile: “Do you want to use money to smash them to death?”
Yan Su…
She had seen shameless people, but she had never seen a woman with a harmless, delicate, and stunning face, with a nonchalant and lazy temperament, being shameless.
“Dream on.”
Zhuo Le smiled: “Son, help Mom get the sketchbook over here.”
“Coming.”
Yan Su looked at the bag next to her: “It’s right next to you, can’t you get it yourself?”
“Can’t.”
Yan Su was angry.
“Mom, here you go.”
“Son is so good, thank you baby.”
Wei Xiaojia ran away with a flushed face.
Yan Su was speechless, one was willing to hit and the other was willing to be beaten, the little cub had already been taught silly by his mother.
Zhuo Le brought oil pastels today and drew a picture of the three dogs playing, it was quite beautiful.
Yan Su thought she was pretending, but she didn’t expect her to really have some skill: “Didn’t see it, you draw well, you captured the essence of my Bao’er, can I have this painting? I’ll buy it.”
Zhuo Le started writing again, very generously, “I’ll give you this one, and I’ll draw a few more for you to buy.”
Yan Su’s mouth twitched. She was going to draw them specifically for her to buy, but had she asked for her opinion?
However, after seeing the finished product, she willingly paid.
Four paintings: one of her alone, one of Bao’er alone, one of her and her boyfriend, and one of the family of three.
It must be said that she was satisfied with every one of them.
The rich woman was generous, giving two hundred for fifty yuan each, without batting an eye.
Zhuo Le was so excited that she wanted to draw another hundred, but the rich woman coldly refused.
What a pity.
“Mountain King, take Bao’er into the water to catch a fish for lunch, A Fu can’t go into the water.”
“Woof…”
Mountain King responded and ran into the stream with Bao’er in his mouth. A Fu stayed obediently on the shore waiting.
Bao’er was dumbfounded and a little scared. She had never played in the water or rolled in the mud before, but she also found it fun. The whole dog was extremely crazy.
Yan Su rushed to chase after her a few steps, but found it was useless. Her Bao’er was no longer the dog she used to be. She angrily came back and glared at Zhuo Le several times.
For lunch, there was barbecue, fish soup, and the rich woman’s premium steak and expensive fruit.
The rich woman’s boyfriend was really good at cooking, and the two people and three dogs were all satisfied.
Only the rich woman was dissatisfied, because her Bao’er didn’t eat the dog food she had prepared.
The handsome boyfriend played the guitar and sang songs to make his girlfriend happy. He was truly multi-talented.
So, not just anyone can be a kept man.
“Rumble…”
Oh no, the weather wasn’t cooperating, and it was changing.
Almost instantly, dark clouds covered the sun, and a strong wind blew.
Yan Su’s Bao’er was blown into the sky without her noticing, but luckily Mountain King was quick and caught her back.
Yan Su hugged her tightly with lingering fear, not minding that she was covered in mud.
“Don’t pack up, let’s go quickly. We don’t know how heavy this rain will be, and we might not be able to leave later.”
“Crack…” A lightning bolt fell, as if to tear the entire sky apart, and everyone’s hearts trembled.
The child was so scared that he cried loudly, his voice louder than the thunder.
Zhuo Le hugged Wei Xiaojia tightly, and Mountain King and A Fu clung to her legs: “We probably can’t leave now anyway. It’s too dangerous to drive in lightning and thunder. Is there a place to take shelter around here?”
Yan Su thought for a while: “There seems to be a management station ahead, I don’t know if it’s open.”
Zhuo Le: “Let’s go take a look first, if not, we’ll break the lock.”
Not only them, but others also knew that there was no way to leave now, so they could only find a place to take shelter. The management station ahead was the only option.
Hundreds of people ran towards the management station, the scene was quite spectacular, but the journey was very difficult.
The wind was too strong, and people like Zhuo Le, who were slender and weak, staggered with every gust and couldn’t run at all.
Fortunately, Wei Xiaojia helped to weigh her down, and the two dogs escorted her, so she could barely stand upright.
Yan Su held Bao’er in her boyfriend’s arms, and they walked smoothly, and could occasionally pull Zhuo Le along.
The management station wasn’t far away, and the staggering crowd took more than ten minutes to get there. The rain started to fall, hitting the ground little by little, but it wasn’t very heavy.
Fortunately, there was someone at the management station. Knowing that people were coming to take shelter, they opened the door early.
It was also big enough, with a row of five rooms, enough to accommodate these people.
The moment the door closed, the heavy rain fell with a crash, as if it was being poured from a basin. Zhuo Le was worried that it would wash away the tiles on the roof.
The temperature dropped sharply, and the two people and two dogs hugged each other to keep warm.
Outside, it was dark, with strong winds, thunder, and occasional lightning, making the house feel like it was shaking. It was very scary.
The child in the room couldn’t stop crying.
Wei Xiaojia was also scared, and snuggled tightly in Zhuo Le’s arms, but he was very brave and didn’t cry: “Mom, the windows at home aren’t closed.”
The little head of the family was still able to consider things at this time.
Zhuo Le patted him: “It’s okay, we can just clean up when we get home.”
