After Pretending to Be a Green Tea, I Became a Heartthrob Chapter 68

Chapter 68: Ning Qingyan in Women’s Clothing Meets Gu Si! Did He Get Exposed…?

When Ning Qingyan woke up, it was almost noon. She scratched her head, feeling a splitting headache. Glancing at the unfamiliar bedroom, she immediately sat up in bed, causing the blanket to slip off her body.

She touched her clothes—they were the same ones she had worn yesterday, neatly intact, not changed at all. Her body also felt normal, except for her pants, which were wrinkled and clung uncomfortably to her skin.

With a dizzy and aching head, Ning Qingyan decided not to think too much. Half-squinting her eyes, she climbed out of bed, locked the bedroom door first, and then entered the bathroom, locking that door as well.

On the other side, Gu Si had already prepared breakfast. Seeing Ning Qingyan sleeping so soundly, he couldn’t bring himself to wake her up and thought he’d order fresh food when she got up.

But who knew she would sleep until noon? He hadn’t slept well the night before, his mind unsettled. Now, watching her peaceful sleeping face, he suddenly felt sleepy himself and simply lay down on the makeshift bed on the floor for a nap.

Because Gu Si had been sleeping close to the bed, Ning Qingyan, in her groggy state, didn’t notice him lying there. It wasn’t until she locked the bathroom door and started showering that the sound of running water woke Gu Si up.

Gu Si’s long, narrow phoenix eyes half-opened as he drowsily glanced at the frosted-glass bathroom. Through the hazy glass, he could vaguely make out a slender, flesh-colored silhouette.

Damn!

With just one glance, Gu Si instantly sat up. Any trace of sleepiness vanished completely. His mind was now razor-sharp.

He both loved and hated this frosted-glass bathroom—loved it for offering a view, hated it for keeping it blurry. But recalling Ning Qingyan’s fair and soft neck from last night, he could imagine the rest well enough.

And just like that, in broad daylight, his… stirred to life again.

The self-control he had once prided himself on, the reckless indulgence he had always embraced, had utterly crumbled when it came to Ning Qingyan.

Damn!

Gu Si punched the floor with a thud, making Ning Qingyan, who was showering, frown slightly. Her heart skipped a beat, and then she heard his footsteps approaching the bathroom.

Leaning against the door, Gu Si spoke lazily, his voice hoarse,

“Need help scrubbing your back?”

Ning Qingyan replied without hesitation, “No need.”

As she spoke, she quickly rinsed off the foam and grabbed a towel to wrap herself.

Gu Si clicked his tongue. “We’re both guys, no need to be shy.”

Now feeling safer with the towel on, Ning Qingyan slowly replied,

“Only my little sister can help me bathe. Unless… you want to go to Thailand for a gender change? Then I might consider it, haha.”

“You’re getting bolder, Ning Qingyan.”

Gu Si chuckled. “Taking advantage of my indulgence, even joking like this now?”

Not wanting to push him too far, Ning Qingyan expertly switched tactics,

“Bro, I’m hungry, and my head hurts a lot. Ouch.”

Gu Si tensed up slightly but responded skeptically,

“Really? You still went to shower even though you’re feeling like that? Aren’t you afraid of catching a cold? Hurry up and finish, I’ll get you some breakfast—no, lunch. Young master, you slept till noon.”

“Thanks for lunch, bro,” Ning Qingyan said while drying her hair.

Gu Si grabbed some of his old clothes from the wardrobe, hanging them on the bathroom door.

“These are mine, but they’re clean. Pick whatever fits. I’m heading downstairs.”

“Thanks for the clothes, bro!”

Hearing Ning Qingyan’s perfunctory response, Gu Si shook his head helplessly. But what could he do? He just had to put up with it. He turned and left.

Though he could have just called room service, Gu Si knew Ning Qingyan’s personality well enough. It was better to leave and give him privacy to change.

Once Ning Qingyan heard the door close, she peeked out of the bathroom to confirm he was really gone. Then, she quickly grabbed the clothes hanging outside and put them on.

A loose-fitting pink cardigan and oversized pants.

For most guys, her height wasn’t considered short, but next to the towering 188 cm Gu Si, it was a different story.

What looked stylish and flirtatiously devilish on Gu Si now seemed like a child playing dress-up on her. The long pants dragged on the floor, and the oversized cardigan practically swallowed her.

She spent a while rolling up the sleeves and pant legs just to be able to move properly.

When Gu Si returned, he knocked on the door. Ning Qingyan opened it to see him pushing a small food cart into the living room.

One by one, he laid out the extravagant meal on the dining table and placed a bowl of hangover soup in front of her.

“Didn’t you say your head hurts? Drink this while it’s hot.”

Gu Si leaned back lazily as he spoke, then sat beside her, only handing her chopsticks after she obediently finished the soup.

For some reason, seeing Ning Qingyan wearing his clothes—despite the ill fit and ridiculous appearance—gave Gu Si an inexplicable sense of satisfaction. He ate while watching him, lips curled in amusement.

Ning Qingyan, having experienced countless tense situations, was unfazed by being watched. After enjoying the meal, she got up to return to her villa.

At the entrance of the Manjusha Bar, everything was quiet as usual. Just to avoid disturbing Ning Qingyan’s sleep, Gu Si had rented out the entire place.

“I booked your flight. Aren’t you coming with me to the new recording location?”

Gu Si showed her the flight details on his phone.

The third episode of their variety show wouldn’t be filmed on the island anymore but in a remote second-tier city, D City. Though sparsely populated, it had plenty of entertainment facilities, making it a perfect romantic getaway setting.

Ning Qingyan pointed to her comically oversized outfit, making it clear—she needed to change first.

Gu Si raised an eyebrow. “That’s easy. I’ll take you shopping and pay for whatever you want.”

Ning Qingyan was tempted. She had been busy setting up her villa these past few days and hadn’t bought any clothes for herself yet.

But if she went shopping with Gu Si, she’d end up with a wardrobe full of men’s clothes again! That wasn’t happening after the show ended.

Before Gu Si could pull out his card to tempt her further, she decisively refused, turned, and hopped into a taxi.

Gu Si, feeling guilty about the events of last night, found himself unable to refuse anything Ning Qingyan wanted. He could only watch as the taxi drove away.

Seeing his boss’s disappointed expression, the bar’s manager quickly tried to please him,

“Young Master Gu, your friend probably just feels embarrassed spending your money. You were too direct.”

Gu Si raised an eyebrow. “Oh? Then how should I do it?”

“You could just buy everything and gift it instead.”

“That wouldn’t be direct?”

“Friends exchanging gifts is normal—it’s called brotherly affection, not directness.”

Gu Si’s frown instantly relaxed. “Good suggestion. Double your salary this month.”

Hearing that, the manager grinned from ear to ear.

Gu Si, always acting on impulse, immediately jumped into his sports car and sped toward the shopping mall.

Meanwhile, Ning Qingyan returned to her villa, changed into women’s clothing, and disguised herself with a simple black long-haired wig and bangs.

Dressed in a flowing white dress, she looked like a soft-spoken schoolgirl straight out of an anime.

For an afternoon of shopping, she naturally had to wear women’s clothes.

With a few hours left before her evening flight, she happily set out for Kyoto’s biggest mall, determined to fill her wardrobe.

Little did she know, fate had another encounter planned for her…
