Yandere Contrast Cutie with Dual Personality…
Gu Si’s blatantly suggestive words, along with the fingers pressed tightly over Ning Qingyan’s lips, preventing her from speaking, left her feeling completely stifled.
In frustration, she opened her mouth and bit down on Gu Si’s long, slender, and impeccably clean fingers that were pressed against her lips. Then, with disgust, she spat them out and sneered:
“Ugh, disgusting.”
Feeling the warm, slightly itchy sensation of her soft lips and the faint pain from her bite, Gu Si’s ears turned bright red. Seeing Ning Qingyan’s look of pure disdain, he hurriedly defended himself:
“What are you talking about?! I just finished building a sandcastle and washed my hands three times with soap, then rinsed them three more times!”
Ning Qingyan scoffed and didn’t even bother responding. She turned and ran off.
Gu Si clenched his fingers, suppressing the tingling sensation on his fingertips and the inexplicable thrill in his heart. After calming down for a moment, he quickly chased after her.
Unfortunately, they were in a crowded amusement park. With his tall frame, Gu Si struggled to squeeze through the crowd, while Ning Qingyan, being petite, slipped through gaps effortlessly and soon put a significant distance between them.
Ning Qingyan kept running, weaving through the sea of people, determined to get as far away as possible. Being alone with Gu Si was just too awkward.
But just as she was making her escape, she suddenly stepped on a dropped ice cream cone and lost her balance, falling forward.
As she instinctively closed her eyes and braced herself for impact, a seemingly thin yet incredibly strong arm caught her waist and pulled her into a firm embrace.
This embrace carried a familiar, refreshing scent—a pure black tea fragrance.
Stunned, she looked up.
Before her was a face that, in this lifetime, had only appeared in her dreams—a face so exquisitely beautiful, as if the creator had poured all their favor into him. He looked like he had walked straight out of a two-dimensional manga, dressed in a sports uniform, the epitome of a fresh, youthful boy.
His bright, lychee-like eyes sparkled like shattered glass, mesmerizingly clear. His cheeks flushed slightly as he steadied her, and the hand that had held her waist slid down to her palm, naturally intertwining their fingers together.
His voice was low and soft, carrying a hint of spoiled affection as he murmured to her:
“Jiejie, long time no see. Dan Yi missed you so much…”
Ning Qingyan’s pupils shrank, her fingers clenching tightly, and her heart skipped a beat.
If she calculated correctly, Yun Dan Yi was still in high school—a genuine, top-tier high school boy.
Yet, looking at the seemingly pure and innocent, easily embarrassed, obedient, and gentle boy in front of her, who would ever suspect that he was secretly a yandere?
If it weren’t for the fact that, in their past life, she had dumped him and he had later discovered that he wasn’t her only “fish in the pond,” his breakdown wouldn’t have exposed his true nature. She would have never believed that this sweet boy, who blushed whenever he called her “jiejie,” who got flustered when teased, who was so obedient that he had almost no self-identity, actually had a completely different face behind closed doors.
Ning Qingyan was utterly dumbfounded.
If she met him again under normal circumstances, she wouldn’t have been this shaken. But Yun Dan Yi’s words just now revealed two critical pieces of information.
First, he had been reborn—and he recognized her, even though she was disguised as a man.
Second, he seemed to know that she was reborn as well—and he had specifically come here for her.
No matter how turbulent her emotions were inside, Ning Qingyan maintained a composed appearance. She quickly withdrew her hand, furrowing her brows at the seemingly innocent boy in front of her.
“You must have mistaken me for someone else. Thank you for catching me, but I’m working right now and can’t help you find whoever you’re looking for. Sorry.”
The actress Ning Qingyan spoke briskly, feigning urgency as she shoved some cash into his hands before turning to leave.
But she had barely taken two steps when Yun Dan Yi’s calm voice rang out from behind her:
“I’m a special guest invited by the show’s production team. Are you sure you want to ignore the new guest and just walk away?”
Ning Qingyan halted at his first sentence. Slowly, she turned around.
The sunlight scattered across the young man’s clean, well-kept short hair, slightly tousled at the forehead. His already fair skin looked even more translucent under the sunlight, so pale that the faint blue veins beneath were visible.
As he spoke, he casually pulled out the show’s distinctive guest earpiece from his pocket and hooked it onto his ear.
Even with his docile and harmless expression, something about him sent an inexplicable shiver down Ning Qingyan’s spine.
This was already the final episode of the show. She couldn’t afford to ruin her reputation as a warm-hearted, cheerful character. Otherwise, all her previous efforts would be wasted.
Taking a deep breath, she walked toward him with a polite smile. Her charming peach blossom eyes curved slightly as she spoke gently:
“Hello, I’m Ning Qingyan. Let me take you to meet the other guests.”
Seeing her beautiful eyes crinkle into crescent moons, Yun Dan Yi’s heart raced. His face flushed slightly as he responded in a low voice:
“Thank you, jie— gege. My name is Yun Dan Yi. ‘Yun’ as in white clouds, ‘Dan’ in second tone, and ‘Yi’ from ‘spirited and vigorous.’”
Ning Qingyan froze for a moment.
It was exactly the same as the last time.
She remembered how, in their past life, the shy boy had earnestly introduced himself to her in the exact same way.
She had unknowingly copied his expressions and mannerisms over time.
But the difference was—he only ever acted this way around her.
When she wasn’t around, he was cold, ruthless, constantly getting into fights, and incredibly violent.
Oh, right.
He was also a Taekwondo black belt, ninth dan, a national champion. He fought with precision, speed, and utter disregard for his own safety.
Looking at his current lean physique and exquisitely delicate features, it was almost impossible to believe how terrifying he was in a fight.
Back then, she had received a text from him saying he was being cornered by a gang and had rushed to save him.
But when she arrived at the dark alley, what she saw was not a weak, helpless victim.
Instead, she saw a slightly disheveled but perfectly fine Yun Dan Yi, standing amidst a group of bloodied, groaning thugs sprawled across the ground.
Yet the moment he saw her, his previously cold and violent gaze transformed.
He panicked, ran to her with teary eyes, and threw himself into her arms, trembling as he whispered about how “scary” the thugs were and how “terrified” he had been of never seeing his “jiejie” again.
He even lied, saying that a passing stranger had saved him but left before she arrived.
At the time, she had been heartbroken, kicked the thugs a few more times for him, and then took him to the hospital.
Looking back now…
He had probably taken care of everything himself.
As Ning Qingyan led Yun Dan Yi back to the guest tent, memories of the past life flooded her mind.
Meanwhile, Yun Dan Yi followed beside her, obedient and quiet, no longer mentioning anything about recognizing her.
But Ning Qingyan knew better.
This wasn’t over.
