After the Divorce, My Ex-Wife’s Identity Shocked the World Chapter 113

Chapter 113: You’re in My Hands Now

The night wind was cool, carrying the dampness of the sea and brushing against her face, like lingering tears.

After going downstairs, Su Yiren realized it was a bit cold, but she didn’t want to go back for her jacket, nor did she want to step back into that building.

She touched her icy arm, and without looking back, walked towards the sea.

The path happened to pass by a swimming pool.

The water was warm during the day, but it got colder and colder after sunset, so no one went swimming anymore.

Su Yiren walked to the edge of the pool, realizing it was still early for their appointment, so she stopped slowly.

She sat on a long bench by the pool, staring at the faint lights reflected on the water, lost in thought.

The surface of the pool shimmered, and the light and shadow broke as it swayed slowly.

Su Yiren leaned back on the chair weakly, feeling a chill on her cheeks. She raised her hand to touch them, only to discover that she was crying without knowing it.

She wiped her face haphazardly, cursing herself for being pathetic.

Since she already knew the answer, why was she still heartbroken enough to cry over this?

She could control her body, control herself from going to him, from seeing him, from talking to him, but she couldn’t control her involuntary emotions.

Like longing, like anger, like a bitter jealousy, like a fine, dense pain.

She pressed her hand against her heart, pressing hard, as if only this could make it feel better.

Suddenly, a lithe figure leaped out of the pool, sending a spray of tiny water droplets!

Su Yiren almost screamed in fright. She looked at the muscular back, the short black hair, and felt it was so familiar.

Until the figure turned slightly, she saw his profile and recognized him in an instant.

Lu Yunting?

Wasn’t he in Ouyang Sasha’s room?

Why was he here?

Su Yiren stared blankly at her watch and realized that more than an hour had passed since she returned to her room.

It seemed he had come here for a swim afterward.

Was he just bursting with energy and had nowhere to release it, or was something off about what they had done?

Su Yiren realized she was a complete mess, her head full of these chaotic thoughts.

She had planned to stay by the pool for a while before leaving, but now that she saw the person she didn’t want to see, she stood up and decided not to stay any longer.

But after taking two or three steps, she heard a “thump” from behind.

Su Yiren turned her head quickly and saw that Lu Yunting had actually fallen into the water!

She subconsciously walked two steps towards the pool. The light was dim, and she couldn’t see clearly. She could only see Lu Yunting motionless in the water, as if he had lost consciousness!

Life was at stake, and Su Yiren didn’t think twice. She kicked off her shoes and jumped into the pool.

She was a decent swimmer. Although she had never rescued anyone, the pool wasn’t very deep, and she thought it shouldn’t be difficult to bring him ashore.

In a few strokes, Su Yiren swam to Lu Yunting’s side. Without hesitation, she grabbed his arm, put it on her shoulder, and used both hands and feet to hold him close as she swam towards the edge of the pool.

The buoyancy in the water made swimming with someone relatively easy, but bringing a big man like this ashore was a bit more difficult.

Su Yiren swam to the edge of the pool, grabbed the railing with one hand, and was about to push him up when she turned her head and met his black and white eyes.

Those eyes were unusually bright, with a hint of surprise and amusement. There was no sign of unconsciousness.

Su Yiren realized then: she had been tricked! He hadn’t fallen into the water at all!

Bastard!

Su Yiren’s eyelids twitched, and almost unconsciously, she raised her foot and kicked Lu Yunting directly into the water!

You rotten bastard! Drown you!

Lu Yunting hadn’t expected her attitude to do a 180-degree turn. He was caught off guard and kicked in the stomach. His body staggered, and he fell backwards into the water, swallowing a mouthful of water and coughing repeatedly.

He hadn’t been this clumsy and drunk pool water since he learned to swim at the age of five. He was furious.

After stabilizing himself in the water, Lu Yunting surfaced and saw that Su Yiren had just stepped onto the pool ladder. He swam over, grabbed her leg, and pulled her back into the water.

Su Yiren held her breath in time to avoid drinking water like him, but water had gotten into her ear. One ear felt like it was plugged up, and she could hear the sound of water every time she moved.

She cried out,

“Lu Yunting!Are you crazy?”

“You’re the one who’s crazy.” Lu Yunting said angrily,

“I was fine in the water, and you had to pull me out. You pulled me out, and then you suddenly kicked me, what was that all about?”

Su Yiren bit her lip. How could she say that she had rushed to save him because she was afraid he might be in trouble?

Even if she did say it, with his misunderstanding of her and his low IQ, would he believe her?

Forget it, let’s just say she was meddling.

“I just don’t like you.” Su Yiren rolled her eyes at him and grabbed the railing again, climbing up.

Lu Yunting laughed angrily!

She was so arrogant now? Was she so careless with her words?

Just because she didn’t like him, she had to kick him into the water?

Who gave her the guts?

Lu Yunting almost thoughtlessly walked a few steps forward, hugged her slender waist, and lifted her up, as if he was going to throw her into the water.

Su Yiren struggled desperately, crying out,

“Let me go!”

“Apologize!” Lu Yunting said in a deep voice.

“Why?” Su Yiren tried to pinch his arm, but his muscles were so tight that she couldn’t pinch him.

She angrily kicked his back, but he remained as steady as a rock.

Lu Yunting’s lips curled up in a smug smile. He was actually quite proud of himself.

“Because you’re in my hands now!”

Su Yiren was so angry that she was speechless,

“If you don’t let me go, I’m going to curse you out!”

As she struggled, Lu Yunting could only hold her waist tighter.

The waist in his palm was delicate and boneless, as if it could be broken with a little force.

Lu Yunting suddenly realized that the anger he had suppressed for over an hour in the pool had been reignited by her in just a few minutes.

“Curse me out.” His voice was low,

“Let’s see what kind of flowers you can curse.”

“Bastard! Beast!” Su Yiren cursed without hesitation,

“Scum! Disgusting! Ugh!”

With each curse word, Lu Yunting loosened his grip slightly, pretending to throw her into the water.

Su Yiren was furious at his repeated teasing!

He had just done that disgusting thing with that slut, Ouyang Sasha, and now he was being so frivolous with her. Was he even human?

So Su Yiren blurted out,

“Go roll in the hay with your little girlfriend! Don’t bother me anymore!”

The smile on Lu Yunting’s lips froze, and he asked,

“What are you talking about?”

Su Yiren bit her lip, snorted coldly,

“You know what I’m talking about.”
