Chapter 64: An Answer Must Be Given Today

During this time, Lu Yunting had not replied to her messages.

Su Yiren called him several times, but his phone was always off. She asked Zhou Tong, who said he had not returned to the country yet.

The divorce was inexplicably put on hold.

On this day, Su Yiren returned to Jiangcheng, coinciding with Lu Yunting’s grandfather’s birthday.

Every year on his birthday, Lu’s grandfather would host a banquet at the ancestral home for many friends, as well as some business partners of the Lu Group. It was more of a gathering than a birthday celebration.

Whether it was friends or business partners, seeing each other often and staying in touch was always beneficial.

Su Yiren arrived at the Lu family’s ancestral home early in the morning. The guests had not yet arrived, and the entrance was quiet.

She went directly to the main house to see Lu’s grandfather.

“Grandpa, happy birthday!”

Jiang Jinyun walked over to him and whispered:

“Go to the Civil Affairs Bureau with me now.”
