Chapter 90: Shameless

The two people walking towards the club were none other than Lu Yunting，who had parted ways with his assistant Zhou Tong last night after a heated argument.

“What are they doing here…” Su Yiren muttered under her breath, annoyed.

Si Hong locked the car and glanced at the two figures, casually saying:

“They’re probably here for work.”

Su Yiren felt something was off, she had a feeling that running into them here wouldn’t be a good thing.

Sure enough, when they walked into the private room they had booked, they found Lu Yunting and Zhou Tong already there.

“What are you doing here?” Lu Yunting was furious when he saw Su Yiren and Si Hong together.

Su Yiren deliberately took two steps back, looked up at the name of the private room, and confirmed it was the one she had booked.

Knowing she was in the right place, she didn’t back down:

“I was just about to ask you the same thing. What are you doing here? This is the private room I booked.”

Lu Yunting frowned and glanced at Zhou Tong，who immediately explained:

“It was Designer Xu Ying who invited us.”

Xu Ying was the designer Su Yiren was supposed to meet today.

Su Yiren and Si Hong exchanged a look, clearly displeased.

Logically, Su Yiren could have simply found a meeting room at the company and followed the procedure to have Xu Ying come for the interview.

But she thought the designer was talented and beautiful based on her resume, so she planned to meet her privately to build a relationship.

However, the designer had invited others without telling her, and this behavior was truly annoying.

But since they were already there, she wouldn’t leave without a fight. Even if they didn’t reach an agreement today, she didn’t want to make Lu Yunting happy.

Therefore, Su Yiren walked in with her head held high, sat directly in the main seat, and motioned for Si Hong to sit beside her.

Lu Yunting watched her every move, his brow furrowed with anger.

There were no outsiders in the private room, so he didn’t want to hide anything and said directly:

“We haven’t finalized the divorce proceedings. You should be careful about your actions outside during this time.”

Su Yiren looked at him impatiently:

“What do you mean?”

Lu Yunting glared at Si Hong，who was also looking at him, and snorted coldly:

“Shameless.”

“Lu Yunting！If you have something to say, say it directly. Don’t talk to me in riddles!” Su Yiren glared at him, wishing she could smash the goblet on his head.

Seeing the situation escalating, Zhou Tong was about to intervene, but Lu Yunting stopped him with a look.

He pursed his lips, stood up immediately, and went out to ask when Xu Ying would arrive.

After leaving the private room, Zhou Tong also closed the door behind him.

He wasn’t comfortable being in that situation. Whether the boss won or lost the argument, it would be awkward for him to watch.

Only three people remained in the room. Lu Yunting decided to be blunt:

“You haven’t divorced me yet, and you’re already living with another man. Don’t you think you’re wrong?”

Yesterday, he had wanted to drag her out of the room and ask her if she had any conscience at all! Why was she so shameless?

But in the end, he didn’t do it.

Su Yiren snorted:

“It’s your own mind that’s dirty, so you think everyone else is abnormal.”

“What did you say!” Lu Yunting glared at her angrily, furious.

Just as they were about to argue, Si Hong quickly stopped Su Yiren and said calmly:

“Mr. Lu, Yiren and I grew up together, and we’re more like family. Now that she has nowhere to stay in Rongcheng, even if it’s just a friend, it’s perfectly acceptable to let her stay for a while, right?”

Seeing Lu Yunting’s unfriendly gaze, he continued:

“Besides, we’ve never crossed any lines. Your words ‘shameless’ are truly inappropriate.”

Lu Yunting frowned, “Who knows what you two do in private…”

The rest of the sentence got stuck in his throat. He suddenly didn’t want to say it anymore.

He felt that if he said it now, it would be like putting a green hat on himself, and he was very uncomfortable with that!

Seeing that he couldn’t refute, Si Hong said in a gentle tone:

Lu Yunting took a deep breath, his heart aching with anger:

“Does the Lu family’s reputation need me to damage it?” Su Yiren scoffed.

His scandalous affair with Ouyang Shasha had already been circulating widely…

Lu Yunting was about to glare at her when he heard a knock on the door.

Zhou Tong opened the door, glanced at their expressions, and whispered:

“Designer Xu Ying is here.”

As soon as he finished speaking, a young woman in a white dress walked in.

She had delicate makeup and a head of wavy hair cascading down her back. She moved gracefully.

She smiled at them, and as soon as she entered, she said:

“Ms. Su, Mr. Lu, hello. I’m late.”

Although her first impression wasn’t very good, Su Yiren still stood up politely and shook her hand:

“Hello, Designer Xu. You’re just in time. We arrived early.”

Was he trying to steal her away because he knew she was interviewing her?

Xu Ying sat opposite Su Yiren and explained with a smile:

“Ms. Su, I invited Mr. Lu without your consent. I hope you don’t mind.”

Su Yiren naturally responded politely:

“Of course not. We’re just having a casual chat today. If you bring more friends, I welcome them too.”

Designer Xu Ying was taken aback and immediately laughed heartily:

“Ms. Su, you’re so funny. How could I have a friend as powerful as Mr. Lu? The reason I invited Mr. Lu is because he also invited me to Lu Group. I thought since you’re a couple, we could all sit down and talk together, so I wouldn’t have to choose between you. Both companies are big, and I’d be very conflicted if I had to give up either one!”

She spoke sincerely and honestly, leaving no room for fault. Su Yiren’s initial displeasure towards her had disappeared.

So she knew about her relationship with Lu Yunting and invited him along. That made sense.

Su Yiren glanced at Lu Yunting. She had realized from the beginning that this guy was definitely here to steal her away. Now, hearing Xu Ying’s words, she wasn’t surprised at all.

“In that case, it’s much simpler,” Su Yiren turned to Lu Yunting and said politely:

“Mr. Lu, you go first.”
