Because he was in a good mood, Tan Yue had quite a bit to drink during dinner, having been encouraged by his older brother, Tan Xiao.
Nobody bothered to look after Rao Linchang, so he, being a lightweight drinker who also enjoyed alcohol, secretly poured a little from Tan Yue’s glass into his own.
After drinking less than half a glass, his face quickly flushed a light pink from the effects.
When Tan Yue noticed, he promptly confiscated Rao Linchang’s glass.
Without his glass, the little drunkard became upset, pouting and refusing to speak to Tan Yue.
Tan Yue ignored his sulking but kept a firm grip on Rao Linchang’s hand to prevent him from wandering off and getting hurt.
After drinking with his brother and spending some time with his grandparents, Tan Yue finally took the tipsy Rao Linchang back to their own home.
Though Rao Linchang’s tolerance for alcohol wasn’t very high, his behavior while drunk was always good.
When Tan Yue wasn’t around, he was a very well-behaved, wooden figure.
But when Tan Yue was by his side, he turned into a very mischievous little kitten.
The little kitten kept alternating between asking Tan Yue to call him “big brother” and “dad.”
Otherwise, he would hold Tan Yue’s hand and sing “Heart’s on Fire,” as if it were a love song…
The driver, unable to decipher the antics of these two lovebirds, parked the car steadily in the garage and quickly left.
Once the driver was gone, Tan Yue didn’t rush to get out of the car. Instead, he unfastened the seatbelt restraining his tipsy partner, curious about what would come next.
Rao Linchang didn’t disappoint. He climbed onto Tan Yue’s lap, kneeling on his thighs.
Tan Yue, taken by surprise, felt a tightening in his lower abdomen.
However, Rao Linchang paid no attention to him. Propping himself up on Tan Yue’s shoulders, he murmured drunkenly, “I want to touch…”
Outside, the dim light of the underground garage cast long shadows.
The back seat in the car was narrow and enclosed.
Tan Yue had a small cat-like innocence about him.
“Where do you want to touch?”
Tan Yue leaned back in the seat, his eyes with a hint of peachy red looking at the little rascal misbehaving on top of him.
His voice was low and hoarse, as if holding back something.
“Touch… the chest muscles…”
Rao Linchang’s soft fingertips lightly brushed over Tan Yue’s sexy Adam’s apple, then moved up to his delicate and straight nose.
When he tried to continue touching his glasses, his wrist was grabbed by a hot and restless large hand.
Tan Yue blinked with fiery eyes, placing the rascal’s hand on his firm, broad, yet not exaggerated chest muscles.
In a low and slightly provocative tone, he said, “Just the chest muscles enough for you? You can touch other places too.”
“No, I want to touch the chest muscles…”
Rao Linchang, the rascal, finally got his wish and reached the chest muscles. In his moist, intoxicated voice, he couldn’t help but add a playful tone with a slight lilt, like a seductive hook: “Chest muscles… so big~”
“There’s another place that’s quite…”
But halfway through his sentence, Tan Yue sensibly stopped him.
Then, he slowly exhaled a hot breath, complaining discontentedly, “Forget it, even if I let you touch, you won’t take responsibility.”
“Hmm?”
Rao Linchang didn’t catch what he was saying, trying hard to prop up his dizzy head, blinking his wet, hazy red eyes to look at the mouth that was making sounds.
As if struggling to see clearly, he even raised his hand and lightly rubbed with his fair thumb.
The soft touch felt like feathers gliding over, fleeting upon contact.
However, that teasingly soft ticklish sensation travelled directly to Tan Yue’s heart, itching deep within his skin.
Tan Yue’s breathing suddenly became heavier.
Yet, the only oxygen in his breath came from the breath of that little rascal, carrying a scent of alcohol.
His eyes slightly drooped, still able to see the little rascal’s lips slightly parting.
Not only were those lips beautifully shaped, but they also had a delicate pink hue, probably licked unconsciously, shimmering with a moist gloss.
Moreover, as they were slightly parted at this moment, they resembled a peach blossom blooming after the rain, exuding a faint fragrance tempting for anyone to pick.
Tan Yue’s sexy Adam’s apple rolled with force.
No matter how much of a gentleman he usually was, at this moment, it was hard to resist such intense temptation. He instinctively leaned closer bit by bit towards that enticing peachy color.
However, the next second.
Snap—
The crisp and echoing sound woke Rao Linchang up from his slumber.
He fluttered his eyelids, revealing a pair of misty black and white eyes with a watery sheen.
Sunlight sneaked in through the gap in the curtain, casting a perfect light on the reddish corners of his eyes, adding a dazzling touch of laziness to his cat-like eyes.
“Mmm…”
Rao Linchang, finding the sunlight glaring, rolled over with the blanket, revealing his fair waist uncovered by his sleepwear.
Then, he extended his fair and slender hand, grabbing the annoyingly buzzing phone.
Glancing at the caller ID, he lightly tapped the screen to answer.
“Hasn’t the earth turned past noon yet? Why do you have to call me so early?” His hoarse, grumbling voice sounded displeased, akin to a grumbling little kitten.
“Why do you think? Don’t you remember what we have to do today?” A calm voice with a hint of threat came from the other end of the phone.
Rao Linchang moved his tightly closed eyes, and his long, curled eyelashes trembled slightly. “Hmm… What do we have to do?”
Fang Mo took a deep breath, speaking gently, “Darling, today is the day for filming the romance show, remember? Also, I’ll be at your doorstep in five minutes.”
“…”
Rao Linchang, like a startled kitten facing a formidable foe, curled his body into the blanket, shrinking his head inside, then obediently replied, “Okay darling, I’ll get up now.”
Fang Mo chuckled, “Good.”
After hanging up the phone, Rao Linchang lingered in bed for a good minute before finally getting up to freshen up.
Once ready, he hummed a tune off-key while heading to his spacious 100-square-meter wardrobe to casually pick out an outfit.
Dressed and ready, he left the house and went downstairs, only to bump into Tan Yue sitting at the dining table, sipping coffee while facing his computer.
The young man was still in a high-end suit and trousers, but his devilishly handsome face was no longer adorned with those flashy glasses.
This change immediately stripped away some of the pretentiousness, replacing it with a layer of refined elegance and aloofness.
However, to Rao Linchang’s eyes, the simple thought that crossed his mind was —
“Well, he looks quite presentable.”
After this brief reflection, Rao Linchang glanced at the time on his phone and descended the stairs, asking, “Why aren’t you at work yet?”
This person was known as one of the most secretive capitalists in the industry, either working or on his way to work.
Eating breakfast leisurely at this hour isn’t very common.
“I was taken advantage of by someone yesterday, which caused significant harm to both my mental and physical well-being. So, I need some rest.”
Tan Yue smiled faintly. “Any issues?”
“Someone took advantage of you?” Rao Linchang responded with a smile, but there was a hint of gossip in his tone. “Who was it? Where? Tell me more. I’m not a stranger!”
Tan Yue raised his chin. “It was you, in our garage. You insisted on hugging me and touching my chest muscles. When I refused, you threw a tantrum, rolled on the floor, and cried, demanding a divorce.”
Rao Linchang didn’t skip a beat. “Tan Yue, spreading rumors is illegal. I suggest you rephrase your words, or else my lawyer will soon come after you for compensation.”
Tan Yue remained silent, smiling as he lowered his eyes. His well-defined fingers quickly operated on the phone before thrusting it in front of Rao Linchang.
“Take a good look. Is this person you?” Tan Yue furrowed his brows.
The phone screen was a bit dim. After hesitating for two seconds, Rao Linchang leaned in with skepticism.
The screen showed a car window facing a figure, but due to the dim lighting, the silhouette wasn’t clear.
Rao Linchang chuckled, about to continue his witty defense when a soft hum came from the phone’s speaker, “Hmm… I want to touch your chest muscles. If you don’t let me… then we’re over, okay…”
Rao Linchang: “…”
The sweet and coquettish voice made Rao Linchang’s scalp tingle. He was so startled that he almost dug a hole in the ground with his toe and dropped an eight-story villa on Tan Yue’s head!
“So, who’s the one now contacting a lawyer for compensation?” The man’s voice, laced with a hint of amusement, dispersed gently in the awkward air.
Each word then seeped into Rao Linchang’s ears.
As his ears tingled, the memories soaked in alcohol from the previous night surfaced in his mind.
The dimly lit carriage.
Unreasonable requests.
Restless hands.
Intertwined breaths.
…
Startled, Rao Linchang blinked, and the embarrassment on his face gradually faded, replaced by a blush of shame.
No way!
He must have drunk some aphrodisiac last night!
Why else would he have acted so impulsively towards Tan Yue!
However, the feeling of shame lasted only for a few seconds.
After those brief moments, Rao Linchang’s mischievous side kicked in, and he began to playfully giggle.
“Honey, what are you saying?” He picked up a piece of avocado salad, one of the dishes Tan Yue disliked the most, with his chopsticks and offered it to him. “We are a legally married couple. Was I really being a rascal? I was merely showing my love for you.”
As he spoke, he even winked at Tan Yue.
Rao Linchang, known as the target of online criticism, often targeted for his poor character, bad acting skills, and low business acumen, but never criticized for his looks.
Instead, he was praised as the top handsome man in the entertainment industry, a masterpiece of beauty.
This statement is absolutely true.
Rao Linchang is indeed very handsome, a fact that Tan Yue knew from the moment he first saw him as a child.
He also knew that his pure yet seductive eyes could be deadly.
So, he was effortlessly drawn in by this person who was both beautiful and dangerous, losing half of his soul in the process.
However, teasingly, Tan Yue said, “I don’t believe you unless you let your husband show some love too.”
Rao Linchang, who always adhered to the joyful rule of “it’s good when others suffer losses, silly when you suffer losses,” and “making others suffer grievances benefits oneself,” naturally couldn’t agree.
Not only did he refuse, but he also dramatically crossed his arms in front of his chest, saying, “No way! Absolutely not!”
Tan Yue chuckled as he retrieved his phone. “Then you have to compensate for the emotional distress, right?”
Rao Linchang maintained his stance but turned his alert big eyes, saying, “I’ll give you 50, not a penny more, I’m on a tight budget.”
“In that case, I’ll just have to endure it and wait for the staff from the ‘Love’ show to arrive with my husband.” Tan Yue calmly sipped his coffee, showing no rush to leave.
Rao Linchang: “!!!”
That’s right!
Yesterday on Momo, he was instructed to clear away anything that shouldn’t appear on camera!
Rao Linchang’s gaze pinpointed this bothersome man with precision. Just as he was contemplating how to get rid of him, a crisp doorbell rang from the entrance.
They’re here!
Time was running out, and the task was crucial!
Without much thought, Rao Linchang hurried to Tan Yue, snatched his coffee cup, placed it down, and then forcefully dragged him into the ground floor guest room.
As he was about to close the door, a large hand reached out from the gap, grasping his wrist.
Rao Linchang looked up and met Tan Yue’s captivating peach blossom eyes.
“Rao Linchang,” the man’s voice, filled with amusement, was deliberately low. “If you don’t do me a favor, I’ll expose your dark secrets in front of the live broadcast cameras when the show’s crew comes in.”
“Fine, fine, fine!!!”
The doorbell rang again, and Rao Linchang nodded frantically in urgency, but the large hand on his wrist remained unmoved.
Gritting his teeth, he said with a pained expression, “I’ll give you a hundred! If you think it’s too little, I’ll report you for extortion!”
Tan Yue shrugged, showing no fear. “Sure, go ahead and report.”
“Sigh,” Rao Linchang sighed, sounding resigned. “What kind of person demands a hug for a hundred bucks!”
With that, he actually tiptoed and hugged Tan Yue’s neck.
The clean fragrance and soft strands of hair hitting Tan Yue’s nose made him freeze instantly, his heart beating uncontrollably.
Just as he was about to reciprocate the hug, the other person quickly stepped back.
“Alright, I’ve hugged you, now behave yourself. If you dare sneak out, I’ll bite you!” Rao Linchang warned sternly, then forcefully pulled Tan Yue’s hand away and shut the guest room door.
Behind the closed door, Tan Yue couldn’t stop smiling, feeling a bit amused at himself.
It was just a hug, so why did it bewitch him so much?
