The emo mood disappeared in a few words from the housekeeper.
Li Wenzhao walked over and stopped in front of Jingyi: “You still say you didn’t cause any trouble.”
Jing Yi lowered his head in embarrassment: “It was just a little accident.”
“You have fewer surprises?”
Jing Yi was silenced by Li Wenzhao’s ridicule. Oh no, the young master seemed really angry.
Jing Yi leaned on the table next to the water table, feeling guilty: “Sorry, I didn’t mean it, Master, please deduct my extra money.”
There was silence in the office for a moment.
Just as Jing Yi was thinking about how to beg for mercy in order to be forgiven, he heard Li Wenzhao sigh, “I’m not angry with you.”
Jing Yi raised his head and saw Li Wenzhao looking at him. A strand of hair fell on his brow bone. There were complex and obscure emotions in his eyes, and the look he gave people was deep and hot.
here we go again.
The look a butcher gives when he looks at a desired commodity.
Jing Yi curled his fingertips when he looked at him: “Master, was the meeting not going well?”
“No, it went smoothly.”
All the villains were taken down in one fell swoop. It couldn’t be any smoother.
Jing Yi: “Why do you have that expression?”
Li Wenzhao was puzzled: “What’s my expression?”
Jing Yi pursed his lips and said, “You look at me like a fat piglet, as if you are going to sell me off at any time…”
Li Wenzhao: “…”
The corners of his mouth moved, his brows and eyes were deep: “Don’t worry, I won’t sell it.”
Jing Yi secretly glanced at Li Wenzhao and saw that he looked normal, with no fierceness in his eyes and brows. He was indeed not angry. It seemed that his wallet was saved for the time being.
But think about it.
He is not worth much, so this deal is not worthwhile at all. Li Wenzhao is a domineering boss and will not do business at a loss.
Jing Yi felt a little relieved.
Then Li Wenzhao suddenly said, “Not every family can afford to support a housekeeper who gets into trouble.”
“…”
“Are you hungry?” Li Wenzhao checked the time and said, “Let me take you out for dinner.”
Jing Yi approached Li Wenzhao and was ready to make a move: “Does this count as a slap in the face followed by a sweet date?”
Li Wenzhao asked: “So do you still want to eat?”
Jing Yi immediately put aside his previous grudges and said, “I’m hungry, eat!”
Li Wenzhao: “Let’s go then.”
Jing Yi took two steps and came back to his senses.
Thinking of the broken cups of the River God brand on the ground, he quickly pushed Li Wenzhao back a little, “Master, don’t come over, I’ll clean the floor first.”
Li Wenzhao wanted to say no, but the housekeeper had already picked up the tools and quickly cleaned up the debris on the ground.
€€
The place where we had dinner was a quiet restaurant with private dining rooms, and the layout and decoration were very stylish.
This was probably not Li Wenzhao’s first time here, and he took Jingyi to a quiet box inside with ease.
The waiter quickly came over with the menu, “What would you like to eat?”
Li Wenzhao raised his eyes: “Give him some.”
Jing Yi looked at this elegant and refined environment, not daring to stretch out his sinful hands. He looked at the waiter, then at Li Wenzhao: “Let’s order young master.”
How could he, a butler, order food before his employer?
“There aren’t so many rules when you’re out.” Li Wenzhao took the menu and ordered a few of Jingyi’s favorite flavors.
Jing Yi swallowed modestly and asked eagerly: “Is it too much?”
Li Wenzhao didn’t want to expose his greed: “Not much, after all, it’s still a long way from being a plump little piglet.”
Jing Yi: “…”
Just let him say, they really want to fatten him up and sell him!
Then he would not hesitate: “Please give me another serving of fried fish fillet.”
Jingyi had been craving for this dish for a long time. As soon as he entered the door, he saw the picture on the wall and was craving for it all the way.
Li Wenzhao lowered his eyes and chuckled.
The waiter left with the menu, and soon all the dishes were served.
Jing Yi stared at the delicious food on the table with bright eyes.
“Do you like fish so much?” Li Wenzhao noticed Jing Yi’s gaze.
“I like it.” Jing Yi said, “I have loved eating it since I was a child.”
After saying that, he generously shared the delicious food: “Young Master, have a try.”
Li Wenzhao said: “Too many thorns.”
Jing Yi said: “I looked at the size of the fish. This kind of fish shouldn’t have many bones, right?”
Li Wenzhao was stunned: “Where did you see it?”
The butler didn’t pass the kitchen all the way here. Does he have a double eye?
Jing Yi said seriously: “The picture on the wall.”
Li Wenzhao:?
“Generally speaking, the bigger the fish, the more bones it has. The more bones it has, the less meat it has. The less meat it has, the smaller the fish is. So the bigger the fish, the smaller the fish is…” Jing Yi blinked in confusion.
[Wait…something seems wrong?]
Li Wenzhao made a sarcastic sound: “There are 8.521 people on the bus?”
Jing Yi: “…”
[I remembered it wrongly]
Li Wenzhao chuckled: “It doesn’t matter if your head is empty, the key is to face the reality.”
Jing Yi: “…”
After the intense meal, the two returned to the company.
Secretary Fan was anxiously looking for Li Wenzhao. When he saw the two of them coming back, he immediately stepped forward and said, “Boss Li, you’re back.”
“What’s up?”
Fan Ming quickly reported: “Several major shareholders of Li’s suddenly came to the company and requested to convene an interim board meeting.”
