ATMIWPT Chapter 7 Have You Seen Enough?

Qin Muyao walked through the long corridor, originally intending to head straight for the private room. 

However, she suddenly changed her mind and decided to invite Fu Hanzhou along. This way, she would not only have the assurance of his safety but also be able to share the recent information she had gathered—killing two birds with one stone.

“Your Highness?”

But who would have thought that as soon as she looked up, she would see Fu Hanzhou—heading straight in Qin Muyao’s direction, as if he were deliberately looking for her?  

His ink-black hair was loosely gathered with a jade hairpin, half tied, half flowing freely.

He wore a golden python robe, its fabric shimmering with gold-threaded edges. The embroidery depicted nine pythons, and the hem was split on both sides.

The words handsome, noble, and regal all seemed perfectly suited to him.

Qin Muyao smacked her lips lightly, quietly admiring the beauty of the man before her. Though it wasn’t the first time she had seen him, his appearance still never failed to leave her in awe.

Fu Hanzhou glanced at her, his cold eyes flickering with a slight change. “Have you seen enough?” he asked, his voice holding a hint of something unreadable.

Qin Muyao nodded with a smile, her eyes twinkling as she replied, “I’ve seen enough.”

Fu Hanzhou: “…”

This woman’s skin was thicker than usual.

Qin Muyao waved at him, stepping closer and lowering her voice to a soft whisper. “Your Highness, I think something’s off about Xiao Mu’s relationship with the Third Prince, Fu Kuangze. Your intelligence missed this detail.”

They used “Xiao Mu” as a code for the legitimate daughter of Marquis of Zhongyi’s residence, Qin Muyao. This way, they could avoid drawing suspicion and also prevent confusion between her and the original owner.

Because her name was also Qin Muyao.

She couldn’t help but think how troublesome it was to share the same name, a dilemma that many people faced, but one that was especially irksome in her case.

Fu Hanzhou’s tone and expression were both teasing and dangerous, “How do you know?”

He had indeed discovered the connection between Xiao Mu and the Third Prince, Fu Kuangze, but since the matter hadn’t been fully investigated yet, he hadn’t shared the news with Qin Muyao. 

Unexpectedly, just a few days had passed, and she had already sensed the anomaly.

For a brief moment, admiration flashed in Fu Hanzhou’s eyes.

Qin Muyao quickly summarized the information she had gathered over the past few days, focusing on the key points. However, she had yet to reveal the matter of Xiao Mu’s soul being trapped within the jade pendant to Fu Hanzhou.

She wasn’t ready to reveal all her cards to him just yet, especially since the curse on her hadn’t been fully dealt with. She couldn’t afford to trust anyone easily.

On top of that, she was still curious about the reason behind Xiao Mu’s soul being sealed within the jade pendant. As a master of metaphysics, she found this subject intriguing. Unfortunately, she hadn’t brought her Wangchuan Ledger with her, which left her feeling somewhat regretful.

Fu Hanzhou listened intently to Qin Muyao’s information, pondering how to handle the situation.

In one fluid motion, Qin Muyao casually placed her hand on Fu Hanzhou’s shoulder and continued, “By the way, Your Highness, the Third Prince has invited me to the private room. I’ve decided to go see him and investigate further.”

She seemed completely unaware that her gesture was crossing a line.

Instead, she was focused on how to approach the Third Prince. Should she remain in the shadows or should she go to see him openly?

Fu Hanzhou’s eyes narrowed sharply, and his expression darkened. His gaze fixed on the hand she had placed on his shoulder, and his voice rose, filled with barely restrained anger.

“Qin Muyao!”

He despised being touched by others.

Now, even a mere fish dares to act recklessly in front of him.

Qin Muyao was startled by his sudden loud voice, causing her to tremble. She looked at him with a mix of annoyance and confusion.

“I’m here, why’re you yelling so loudly like that?”
