Chapter 22 Moving Empty Rice Bins
Chu Chenyin does have medical skills, but not traditional Chinese medicine, but Western medicine.
Due to her profession, she was trained by the organization and studied medicine for ten years. She once worked as a surgeon in a top hospital for three years, the youngest female surgeon in general surgery.
She could handle everything from heart and intracranial surgery to skin sutures.
Later, if she hadn’t taken the money to carry out the mission, she might still be a doctor in the hospital now.
As for traditional Chinese medicine, she learned some while studying medicine, and she could treat ordinary illnesses, but slightly more complex ones might be difficult.
After all, everyone has their own area of expertise.
If she could have an operating table now, she would be a divine doctor.
Chu Chenyin sighed in her heart, and when she came back to her senses, she saw Fu Yanting with an appreciative expression, “I didn’t expect you to know medicine. Are those herbs enough?”
Chu Chenyin quickly replied, “Enough, we’ll buy more in a few days, let’s go back first.”
“Well, it’s going to be dark soon,” Fu Yanting looked up at the sky, turned around and led the way to her.
When they returned to Qing’er’s house, smoke was already coming from the chimney.
Qing’er’s mother and Qing’er, along with Mrs. Fu, had prepared dinner.
Mrs. Fu made her signature dish, “Flower Chicken”.
As soon as Chu Chenyin entered the house, she smelled the aroma of roast chicken. Her hungry stomach immediately craved it.
“Chenyin, you’re back, come, come and eat.” Mrs. Fu smiled and welcomed her to sit down, then turned around and brought a bowl of rice.
Fu Xingcheng and Fu Jianghong followed behind, bringing out all the dishes they had made in the kitchen.
Besides the “Flower Chicken” made by Mrs. Fu, there was also braised pork, radish stewed with bones, and some wild vegetables that she didn’t know the name of.
These pork, chicken, and bones were the wild chicken and wild boar that the Fu siblings had brought back from the mountain today.
The wild chicken was delicious, the wild boar meat was a bit tough, and it was a bit hard to chew, but the braised pork had been stewed for a long time, and it was already soft and tender, melting in your mouth, rich but not greasy.
Chu Chenyin hadn’t eaten such delicious food in a long time, and she ate several pieces of braised pork in a row.
Fu Yanting, who was sitting next to her, was afraid that she wouldn’t have enough to eat, and he kept picking up pieces of meat with his chopsticks.
He didn’t notice these subtle actions himself, but the Fu family noticed them.
Mrs. Fu whispered to Marquis Fu, “Our Yanting knows how to take care of people.”
Marquis Fu sat upright and took a bite of food, a faint smile appearing on his face, “Of course, he’s like me, he knows how to take care of his wife.”
“You old rascal.” Mrs. Fu lightly kicked his foot.
Marquis Fu quickly picked up a piece of meat and put it in her bowl.
Mrs. Fu ate with a smile on her face.
Meanwhile, Fu Jianghong and Fu Xingcheng were whispering to each other, “Our big brother and sister-in-law are really a perfect match.”
“Of course, just look at who their big brother is, and who their sister-in-law is.”
“Right, right.”
The two little ones, like the head of a CP fan club, had pink bubbles in their eyes.
Chu Chenyin was far away and couldn’t hear what they were saying, but she could feel the gentle smiles on their faces.
This family is really interesting.
She thought to herself silently, picked up her bowl and took a sip of soup.
After dinner, Chu Chenyin’s stomach was full, and she was a little full.
At night, after everyone fell asleep, Chu Chenyin and Fu Yanting, wearing night clothes, arrived at the rice warehouse of the Bai family according to the map.
The rice warehouse was not big, and there were about four or five people guarding it.
Fu Yanting gripped the sword in his hand and looked at the five people, “I’ll draw them away, you go open the lock.”
Chu Chenyin nodded, “Okay.”
The two of them cooperated very well, especially with the experience of the previous two times, they had a clear division of labor.
When Chu Chenyin saw Fu Yanting leading the guards away, she sneaked to the door of the warehouse.
There was only a copper lock on the door of the warehouse. She took out her ancestral lockpick and gently turned it, opening the lock.
As the door of the rice warehouse opened, a wave of rice fragrance hit her face.
The rice fragrance was rich, like the aroma of freshly cooked rice.
Chu Chenyin turned on her flashlight and looked inside. It was full of bags of high-quality fragrant rice.
She walked slowly inside and couldn’t help but laugh, “I said why they were all selling fake rice outside, it turns out the real rice is all here.”
The fragrant rice in the warehouse was packed in cloth sacks, about a hundred of them, stacked together, one higher than the next.
Chu Chenyin didn’t wait any longer and directly moved all the rice into her space.
The space on the third floor was like a very elastic ball, it didn’t look big, but it could hold a lot. She kept putting things in, and there was still more than half of it left.
She clapped her hands and came out of the space.
At this time, Fu Yanting came back, “Did you move everything?”
Chu Chenyin smiled, “I did.”
She had moved it, but this was just the tip of the iceberg of the Bai family’s rice warehouse.
Fu Yanting then took out the map again and pointed to a place, “We’re going here next, the Bai family’s real warehouse!”
