Chapter 42 Stockpiling Cattle and Sheep in the Pasture Space
The mountain stronghold was filled with thatched houses, surrounded by people holding torches.
They were all welcoming the leader who had just returned from hunting.
These villains were all ferocious-looking, each of them had stained their hands with the blood of many people.
The leader of the bandits threw the corpse on his horse heavily to the ground, “This little girl’s body is not very good, she died after a few strokes, whoever wants her can take her back, if you don’t want her, just put her in a pot and stew her!”
A group of men stared at the woman’s corpse like ferocious tigers, waiting for the leader’s order to pounce on her.
Chu Chenyin didn’t continue to watch, her right hand involuntarily gripped Fu Yanting’s arm.
Fu Yanting looked down at her hand tightly holding his, after a while, he put his arm around her waist and leaped to the back of the stronghold.
The back of the stronghold was at the foot of the mountain, a patch of green grass, where the bandits stored their goods.
Chu Chenyin had originally thought that she might meet the boy’s parents before coming here, but when she saw the pile of bones in front of her, she instantly understood.
His parents didn’t survive last night.
She strode to the side of the stable and looked inside.
The place was not big, but it housed hundreds of horses.
Every horse was a strong and good horse.
Looking further in, there was a cattle pen and a sheepfold.
These were most likely stolen from ordinary herders.
After passing the sheepfold, there was a small earthen house guarded by five or six bandits.
If she wasn’t mistaken, it should be all the valuables they had stolen.
Chu Chenyin frowned, “General, did you bring the smoke?”
“There’s no need for smoke against these wicked bandits.” Fu Yanting finished speaking, took out a sharp dagger, and used his light skills to rush over like a ghost.
His movements were extremely fast, he silently came to the side of the bandits, raised his knife and stabbed at their necks.
Click, click, click.
Blood spurted upwards in columns.
Fu Yanting’s hand moved like lightning, he cut the throats of the six bandits in a flash, they hadn’t even had time to shout before they fell heavily to the ground, dead.
Chu Chenyin ran to his side, directly stepped over the corpses on the ground, and came to the door of the room to open it.
As the door opened, all sorts of jewelry inside came into view.
Compared to the gold and silver bricks of the Bai family before, these were all kinds of jewelry, it seemed that they were all stolen from innocent people.
Chu Chenyin didn’t say a word, she quickly stepped forward and moved these jewelry into the space.
After the small earthen house was emptied, they immediately turned back and moved all the horses, cattle, and sheep in the stable, cattle pen, and sheepfold into the pasture space on the seventh floor.
The pasture space had an endless supply of grass and water, making it perfect for raising these animals.
Chu Chenyin couldn’t help but feel a sense of relief in her heart. Thankfully, the pasture space had upgraded in time. Otherwise, with so many horses, cattle, and sheep, she wouldn’t know where to put them.
The pasture space became vibrant with the addition of animals.
Chu Chenyin roughly counted and found there were over a hundred horses, fifty cows, and sixty sheep.
Among the fifty cows, there were over ten dairy cows.
Soon, she would be able to establish her own ranch here.
She came out of the space and prepared to leave the stronghold with Fu Yanting.
However, just as they were about to leave, an arrow whistled through the air, brushing past Chu Chenyin’s cheek against the cold wind.
She instantly felt a burning pain on her cheek and touched it with her hand, finding a streak of bright red blood on her fingertip.
At this moment, someone shouted from ahead, “Not good, there are thieves!”
Chu Chenyin wiped the blood off her hand and sneered, “You’re a thief yourself, yet you’re shouting about catching thieves. How ridiculous.”
As she finished speaking, she turned her head to look at Fu Yanting.
Fu Yanting’s cold eyes were fixed on the tiny wound on her cheek, his face filled with an unprecedented anger.
This anger made him exude a chilling aura that was intimidating.
Chu Chenyin could even feel the muscles in his arms bulging and the veins on the back of his hand protruding.
She quickly grabbed his hand and said, “Let’s go, come with me into the space!”
However, Fu Yanting let go of her hand and stopped where he was.
Chu Chenyin turned her head back to look at him in surprise.
Fu Yanting took out the long sword at his waist and slowly turned towards the direction of the bandits.
The silvery moonlight shone on the long sword in his hand, reflecting a cold light.
“General!” Chu Chenyin wanted to call out to him, but she saw him grip the sword and charge towards the bandits who were rushing towards them like a gust of wind.
The bandits brandished their large knives and charged towards Fu Yanting aggressively, “Brothers, kill them!”
The long sword in Fu Yanting’s hand was like a nimble silver snake. As he swung the sword, the sword light filled the air, and over ten bandits instantly fell.
Chu Chenyin gripped the small pistol in her arms and was about to take it out, but Fu Yanting suddenly transformed the long sword in his hand into a retractable spear.
The six-meter-long red tassel spear was imposing, Fu Yanting held it effortlessly, leaped into the air, swung the spear, under the moonlight, his figure was majestic and imposing.
His spear technique was extremely fierce, cutting through the air with a sharp wind, creating tens of thousands of illusions, like a dragon emerging from the water, each strike aimed directly at the vital points.
“Boss! This guy is too strong!”
The bandits roared in fear.
