Receiving no response, Michako considered if she was being too gentle. She was about to try waking him up again when her gaze landed on his calm face. A sudden impulse crossed her mind – the thought of enacting a scene from the manga she had just drawn, a more intimate interaction between siblings.

“No, no, I can’t do that!” Michako shook her head vigorously, restraining herself from touching him inappropriately. Despite calming herself down, her face flushed with the thought.

“But…” Looking at Miyuki’s peaceful expression, she couldn’t resist doing something. Hesitantly leaning forward, she decided to give Miyuki a gentle morning kiss instead.

As she lightly touched her lips to his cheek, planning to quickly withdraw, Miyuki suddenly stirred and opened his eyes. Their eyes met, and Michako froze, unsure of what to do next.

“It’s past five, time to get up,” Michako said, sitting up straight. “How are you feeling now? Better?”

“You’re still planning to go to work later?” Michako asked, concerned.

Michako seemed to remember something, picking up a stack of papers from the side table. She handed them to Miyuki, trying to appear calm. “Brother, these are some new manga drafts I just printed. Could you take a look? It’ll be a good pastime before dinner.”
