Chapter 67: Not a Big Issue
“Michako…”
Yagi Miyuki put on a stiff smile, pretending to be calm. “There’s no need to take photos to commemorate this, right? People might misunderstand if they see it. Could you please delete it?”
He was genuinely worried.
Earlier, he had assured himself that he wouldn’t run into anyone he knew, yet he ended up meeting the last person he wanted to see, Ninomiya-senpai. As if that weren’t enough, people he knew started appearing one after another!
Yagi Miyuki’s mouth twitched.
In short, today was weirdly unlucky, and he couldn’t afford to leave any loose ends.
Who knows, he might get home and find his dad questioning him with the photo Michako had just taken. Would he even have legs to stand on after that?
“It’s fine.”
Michako stuck out her tongue and put away her phone with a relaxed expression. “It’s the first time we’re doing something like this; of course, we should take a photo to commemorate it. It has sentimental value, doesn’t it?”
“That’s not the point,” Yagi Miyuki hesitated, wanting to say more but stopping himself.
“Then what is the point… Ah, don’t worry.”
Noticing her brother’s concerned look, Michako blinked her big eyes and said, “Dad won’t see it, and even if he does, it’s fine, right? It’s normal for siblings to do stuff like this.”
“Normal siblings definitely wouldn’t do something like this!”
Yagi Miyuki covered his face, hesitated for a moment, and then said helplessly, “Fine, do whatever you want. Just make sure Dad doesn’t see the photo. Otherwise, I’ll be in serious trouble.”
“Alright.”
Michako looked down and fiddled with her phone, mumbling, “Such a great photo… Hmm, I’ll use it as my phone wallpaper.”
Yagi Miyuki: “…”
“Using it as phone wallpaper… isn’t really appropriate, is it?”
Yagi Miyuki was somewhat speechless.
A sister using her brother’s photo as a wallpaper? How is that not problematic? Isn’t this something only a sister with a ‘brother complex’ in light novels would do?
Thinking along these lines, Yagi Miyuki’s gaze suddenly became strange as he pondered the young girl before him.
A brother complex?
To be honest, he felt that Michako had been overly clingy lately.
Not only was she as dutiful as a newlywed wife, cooking for him every day, but she also frequently snuggled into his bed. The strangest part was that today, she had even asked him to accompany her to buy lingerie, a very personal item, and now she had ordered a ‘couples’ drink?
This… isn’t something a normal sister would do, right?
Yagi Miyuki fell deep into thought.
Looking at Michako’s various behaviors, although he found it hard to believe, it completely fit the symptoms of someone with a brother complex.
“Michako…”

After coming to a conclusion, Yagi Miyuki wasn’t overly surprised; instead, he was somewhat… pleased?
In his view, even if Michako had a brother complex, it should still be within the realm of normalcy.
Just like him; he considered himself to have a sister complex, but it was limited to simply loving and caring for his sister. Anything beyond that, he couldn’t accept.
It should be the same for Michako, right? At most, she’s just a bit clingy; it’s unlikely that she’d have any more extreme thoughts.
If it’s just to this extent, then he doesn’t think it’s a bad thing.
Having a sister willing to be close to him couldn’t be better; he’s more than happy about it.
“How perfect, right? What do you think, brother?”
Michako held her phone up to Yagi Miyuki’s eyes and asked with a grin, “It looks exactly like a couple deeply in love, doesn’t it?”
“Cough cough—!”
Yagi Miyuki was immediately choked up! Looking closely, he found that the lock screen wallpaper on his sister’s phone had been changed to a photo that was somewhat distasteful to him.
In the picture, he and his sister were each biting one end of the straw from the ‘couples’ drink; their faces were so close they could almost touch.
The picture looked incredibly intimate; anyone seeing it would hardly believe that the male and female protagonists in the photo were actually siblings. From any angle, they looked like a loving couple!
“What do you think?”
Hearing his sister’s excited voice, Yagi Miyuki cleared his throat. Although he wanted to criticize, he reluctantly said, “Um, it’s… not bad.”
Then, hesitating, Yagi Miyuki added, “However, it’s not good for people to see this. Michako, use it for a few days and change it when you get bored.”
“I won’t get bored.”
Michako pouted and then smiled again, “Brother, let’s finish our milk tea quickly. We’ve rested long enough; let’s go walk around.”
“Alright.”
Seeing his sister change the topic, Yagi Miyuki didn’t press further and nodded, “Then let’s hurry up.”
“Hmm?”
After they both worked hard to finish the large cup of milk tea, Yagi Miyuki was about to stand up when he suddenly felt something. He reached into his pocket and pulled out his phone.
“Dad?”
Looking at the message that popped up on the screen, Yagi Miyuki clicked it open with a puzzled expression, but then quickly displayed a bewildered look.
“What’s wrong?”
Seeing her brother stand up and then sit back down, Michako was first startled and then asked, “Aren’t we leaving?”
“No…”
Yagi Miyuki shook his head hesitantly, “Dad sent a message asking us to come back home right now.”
“Eh?”
Michako was stunned for a moment, then frowned, “Why?”

“I don’t know,” Yagi Miyuki shrugged. “Dad just told us to come back, he didn’t specify why. Let’s go home first.”
“Oh.”
Michako’s face suddenly turned gloomy.
It was such a rare dating opportunity, and it was a waste to end it just like that.
However, she didn’t dare to defy; she still didn’t have the courage to challenge the authority of the head of the family.
But if their father is calling them back, there must be a reason. Although she didn’t want it to end like this, there was no other choice.
Seeing his sister’s downcast expression, Yagi Miyuki couldn’t help but lift his hand to rub her head, comforting her, “Well… don’t make that face. Your brother will make it up to you next time.”
“Alright.”
Michako didn’t stay sad for long; she quickly regained her spirits and smiled, “It’s a promise, then.”
“Sure.”
Yagi Miyuki nodded, stood up, and said, “Let’s go now.”
“What do you think Dad wants us for?”
Walking on the road, Michako thoughtfully touched her chin. She had had a bad feeling since the beginning.
“Um…”
Yagi Miyuki thought for a moment and casually said, “Who knows? I can’t guess what he’s thinking.”
Michako frowned, growing increasingly uneasy. She felt that something was off. However, until they reached the front door of their home, she still couldn’t figure out what was wrong.
“I’m back.”
As she entered, Michako immediately noticed two unfamiliar pairs of shoes in the entrance hall, and the distant, but very familiar, crisp and pleasant loli voice coming from the living room. Her mind buzzed as she suddenly realized something!
“Oh no… Our house has been robbed!”
