Chapter 96: You Have a New Mission
“Um…”
Lost in a daze, Ninomiya Homura felt as if she had a long dream. In it, her adorable kouhai Yagi Miyuki came to her house uninvited, tenderly taking care of her. He fed her medicine, soothed her to sleep like family, and did everything she asked. And then…
Startled awake, Ninomiya Homura looked around in confusion. She instinctively wiped the sweat from her forehead and rubbed her head, which still felt heavy but much better. She then glanced out the window, noticing it was already night, and murmured, “Is it evening already?”
“Wait—”
Suddenly, it seemed like she remembered something. Sitting up abruptly in bed, her eyes regained their focus as she looked around the quiet, dim room, muttering, “Junior, he really came over…”
Scanning her room, her hopeful expression faded as she settled back into reality. With a self-mocking smile, she said, “I must be delirious from the fever, imagining things. But… even if Yagi-kun knew I was sick, he wouldn’t come over, would he?”
Ninomiya Homura touched her forehead again, feeling drowsy and tempted to slip back into sleep. But, she forced herself out of bed, leaning on the wall for support, and said to herself, “I feel a bit better after sleeping, but I probably still have a fever. I should eat something and then go out to get more fever medicine.”
Supporting her weak body, she left her room and walked toward the living room.
“Hm?”
Approaching the living room, Ninomiya Homura noticed the bright lights and caught a faint scent of cooking. Wondering if her mother had returned, she headed toward the brightly lit kitchen. But the figure she found busily working there was beyond her expectations, leaving her stunned.
“Yagi-kun?”
…
“Hasn’t Ninomiya-senpai woken up yet?”
Yagi Miyuki, stirring a pot of steaming porridge on the stove, turned off the gas and muttered to himself, “She sweated a bit earlier, so her temperature should have dropped. She’s been asleep for nearly three hours; it’s time to wake her up… I’ll just make a side dish and then…”
Suddenly feeling a presence, Yagi Miyuki froze, barely able to utter, “Ninomiya-senpai!”
Feeling the warmth of her body from behind and the impressive pressure, Yagi Miyuki was momentarily at a loss for words.

After a brief moment of shock, Yagi Miyuki quickly regained his composure and was about to speak when the person behind him preempted, speaking in a languid, seductive tone, “Yagi-kun, are you here to see my daughter?”
“Ga—!”
Yagi Miyuki was taken aback, his intended rebuke stuck in his throat as he stared in disbelief, stammering, “No, you’re… Mrs. Ninomiya?”
Hearing a light chuckle, Yagi Miyuki initially froze, then turned around in annoyance, ready to retort. However, he was met with a pair of gentle, deep eyes.
Ninomiya-senpai, pale but still stunningly beautiful, gazed at him with soft eyes, not avoiding his gaze, and gently said, “Good evening, Yagi-kun.”
“I…”
Yagi Miyuki took a deep breath, looking at Ninomiya-senpai’s pale, delicate face, and said resignedly, “Get back to bed and lie down. You’re still joking at a time like this…”
“Your reaction just now was quite interesting, exactly as I imagined,” Ninomiya-senpai said with a smile, then softly added, “I thought it was mom who came back, but my dream came true. I woke up to find you taking care of me, Yagi-kun. Thank you so much for everything.”
“There’s no need for that,” Yagi Miyuki turned his head away, unaffected, and said, “I just felt that I couldn’t leave you alone in such a condition. Even if it were anyone else, I would have stayed and taken care of them.”
Though the truth was different, he remained adamant.
“Really?”
Ninomiya-senpai’s smile remained, but her eyes held a cunning glint as she said, “Then please continue to treat me like a little cat or dog and take care of me gently until dawn.”
Yagi Miyuki rolled his eyes, silent, and touched her forehead, shaking his head, “Alright, get back to bed. You’re still burning up. I’ll bring the porridge to your room in a bit.”
“Sure.”
Ninomiya-senpai blinked her eyes and chuckled, “You’re so assertive today, Yagi-kun. I’ll be good then. But if you want to do something tonight, be gentle, okay? I’m not up for anything too intense right now.”
“I’m not going to do anything!”
Yagi Miyuki exclaimed in frustration, “You’re already in this state, please don’t make trouble! Just rest!”
After watching Ninomiya-senpai leave, Yagi Miyuki let out a long breath and shook his head, “Well, I’ll keep looking after her for a bit more. If she gets better, I’ll head back.”
He served a bowl of plain porridge and headed to Ninomiya-senpai’s room, ready to continue his caring duty.

Although Yagi Miyuki wanted to cook some meat soup or prepare some light dishes, Ninomiya-senpai’s house only had rice and no other ingredients. Going out to buy fresh ingredients now wouldn’t yield much, so he decided a bowl of steaming porridge would be more reassuring.
“Do you need me to feed you, Ninomiya-senpai?”
“Please do.”
“Alright.”
Yagi Miyuki was willing to be gentle with Ninomiya-senpai in her current condition. As he fed her, he asked, “How do you feel? Any discomfort? You’re better than before, right?”
“Much better now.”
Ninomiya-senpai suddenly paused, as if she remembered something, and said, “Yagi-kun, how did you know I was sick?”
“I found out during today’s executive committee meeting,” Yagi Miyuki shrugged and casually said, “But mainly, it was because you suddenly called me with a weak voice, so I had no choice but to come over.”
“Eh?”
Ninomiya Homura was stunned, fumbled under her pillow for her phone, checked the call log, and quickly realized, “So that’s it… I accidentally called you instead of Hayashida-sensei, our teacher?”
“That’s right.”
Yagi Miyuki urged her, “Enough talking, now open up.”
“Ah~”
Enjoying Yagi Miyuki’s feeding, Ninomiya Homura’s smile grew wider, and the corners of her mouth turned up more tenderly. But soon, her smile froze as a notification sound rang out—
“Ding—! You have a new mission, please check it.”
