Jiang Muti didn’t expect Yun Duo to be so straightforward. She was completely obedient, without any hesitation.

At this moment, she couldn’t help but marvel at the power of bloodlines—this was really Yun Cheng’s sister, the one who was as clueless as him.

Fortunately, in this industry, even those who hadn’t made it to the top were still starting much higher than ordinary people. They had been negotiating with a producer for a long time before he finally agreed to set aside some time for an interview.

Jiang Muti shrugged. These two fools probably thought she would scold Yun Duo, assuming she could easily bully her. But as usual, these idiots didn’t understand. They even often made her feel like she was being choked half to death. Since they wanted to try, Jiang Muti didn’t stop them, letting Yun Duo do whatever she wanted.

Yun Duo seriously responded, “That might not be possible. My dad is very busy, always on standby 24/7. He can’t even make it to my parent-teacher meetings, so there’s no way he could take the time to apologize to you.”

“Oh? What does your mother do? Busy like this?” The two girls were still a bit cautious. Although being a lackey to the fat girl wouldn’t make her any better, she was still someone who could attend these types of events, so it didn’t hurt to ask.

Yun Duo didn’t think there was anything wrong with talking about her dad’s job: “My dad is the Jiang family’s private butler.”

At this moment, Zhou Lu came over and found her. Following her gaze, he saw that the fat girl was once again making fools of the two girls.

It was then that Jiang Muti learned that it was actually a purely business-based marriage between two strong families. Of course, that wasn’t surprising in high society, but the atmosphere at the whole banquet was so harmonious that it didn’t immediately make one think of that side of things.

Just then, she suddenly heard her father say, “Ah Lu is already this old.”

To her surprise, her brother reacted even faster than she did. Jiang Yunjuan smiled and said, “He’s not small anymore. I just saw him coming in and out with a girl. Looks like the second good thing in their family is coming soon.”

Then he glanced back at his daughter, noticing that she still seemed a bit lacking, and prompted her, “How’s the weight loss going recently?”

You know, something like weight loss, which was originally a source of accomplishment after succeeding, had suddenly become a thorn in her throat because of her parents’ misguided thoughts.

Fortunately, both of them were busy. After the banquet, they didn’t stay at home for long and flew off again.

Then came the summer vacation, which lasted more than two months. However, Yun Cheng and his family had to go to the capital for training and a competition, and they wouldn’t return until the next semester.

On the day they left, Jiang Muti and Yun Duo sent them off. Yun Cheng, who had never been away from home for such a long time, hugged both of them reluctantly.

“During the training, we have to hand in our phones, so we won’t be able to keep in touch. Remember to pick me up when I get back.”

The two of them nodded repeatedly. Seeing how clingy he was, they were really glad they didn’t bring their two dogs along to see him off, otherwise, the three brothers would have been tearfully bidding farewell for who knows how long.
