Last night, the starry night sky glittered above as Shangguan Xueying sat by the study window. Though the view was breathtaking, her heart was filled with unease. After much deliberation, she made a bold decision—go abroad to stockpile supplies.

She quickly began searching online for information, drafting a detailed plan. Plane tickets, destinations, supply lists—everything was becoming clear in her mind. Finally, she booked a ticket for the afternoon of the third day, with Japan as her first stop.

On the morning of the third day at nine o’clock, sunlight streamed through the thin clouds and scattered across the city streets. Dressed in sharp sportswear, Shangguan Xueying walked briskly toward the city’s largest auto dealership.

The moment she entered the showroom, rows upon rows of dazzling vehicles greeted her eyes. But she had a clear goal and went straight to the RV section. A seasoned salesperson immediately stepped forward with enthusiasm.

“Miss, do you have any specific requirements?” the salesperson asked politely.

Shangguan Xueying replied simply, “I need high-performance RVs and off-road vehicles.”

Smiling, the salesperson nodded and led her to a SAIC Maxus RV, explaining in detail: “Miss, this RV uses top-grade, durable, impact-resistant materials. Even under strong collisions or attacks, it ensures absolute safety inside. To give you a clearer impression, let’s run a simple crash test.” He used a simulated device to strike the vehicle’s body. The RV remained completely unharmed. Walking around it, Shangguan Xueying touched the solid shell with relief.

Next, they stopped at a Lanze RV. Pointing to the roof, the salesperson said, “This one has an advanced self-sustaining energy system—solar panels, wind turbines, plus a high-capacity battery pack. Lighting, appliances, charging—you’ll never worry about power. Let’s test it now.” He turned on the AC, TV, and computer; power remained stable. Shangguan Xueying imagined enjoying modern comforts without external power and smiled with satisfaction.

“Over here,” the salesperson opened the door, “is a complete water purification system. It filters external water into clean, drinkable water for long-term needs. Let’s test it.” He poured murky water into the system. Moments later, clear drinking water flowed out. Impressed, Shangguan Xueying carefully examined the device.

Inside the RV, he showed her the food storage facilities. “Large refrigerators and preservation units let you store plenty of fresh supplies.” He demonstrated by loading in a variety of food.

“Here,” he pointed at a medical kit, “is a fully equipped emergency pack—basic medicines, first-aid tools, even simple surgical devices.” Shangguan Xueying inspected it carefully, nodding with approval.

“The communication equipment is also top-notch: satellite phone, shortwave radio, ensuring constant contact with the outside world.” He tested the signal on the spot.

“And of course, it has powerful engines and off-road performance, adaptable to harsh terrain. Let’s try the test track.” Shangguan Xueying drove the RV, experiencing its strong power, off-road handling, and comfortable living space designed to ease fatigue.

After the RVs, the salesperson took her to the off-road section.

“Miss, here’s a Beijing Off-Road. With high ground clearance, a robust 4WD system, and differential locks, rough terrain is no problem. Let’s test it.” She drove through simulated rugged terrain with ease.

Stopping by a Haval, the salesperson tapped the body: “This vehicle has an exceptionally strong frame, able to withstand extreme conditions and impacts. Let’s try a pressure test.” Even under heavy force, the body stayed intact.

At a BYD off-road vehicle, the salesperson lifted the fuel cap: “This has a large-capacity fuel tank, so long trips don’t require constant refueling. It comes with basic repair tools and spare parts for field maintenance. Its towing ability is impressive—it can haul other vehicles or supplies. Plus, its armor plating offers protection from damage. Let’s test the towing.” The vehicle easily pulled a heavy object.

Shangguan Xueying was satisfied with the performance of all six vehicles. Without hesitation, she took out her bank card and completed the purchase. Before leaving, she tipped each salesperson 5,000 yuan for their attentive service and asked them to deliver the vehicles to her old family villa.

The sales team was overjoyed, repeatedly thanking her before driving the cars to the designated location.

Xueying returned to the secluded villa ahead of them. After making sure no one was around, she quietly waited. Soon, all six vehicles arrived. Once the keys were handed over, the salespeople departed.

Looking at the vehicles, Shangguan Xueying took a deep breath and silently commanded, “Collect.” In an instant, all six vehicles vanished, stored away in her spatial dimension.

After everything was done, she lifted her gaze to the sky, her eyes firm and full of anticipation. She knew everything she was doing was to prepare for the crises of the future—and this was only the beginning. Next, she would fly to Japan to continue her preparations.

Sunlight fell on her figure, highlighting her determined silhouette, as if declaring to the world: no matter how many storms lay ahead, she was ready to face them all.
