Apocalypse Arrival: Little Zombie, I Just Hoard, Hoard, Hoard! Chapter 9: Gagaga Collects Canned Goods

“Ahhh! Qin Ge! Am I seeing things? A whole batch of canned goods just disappeared!” Chen Xiaofei shrieked.

Bai Shu rubbed his eyes repeatedly, then let out a world-shattering exclamation. “How can zombies have abilities?! It’s still just the early apocalypse!”

The survival manual never mentioned this. What the hell was going on?

Qin Luo was also startled. He looked down at Xu Duoduo, then up at the now-empty space. “Xiaobai, Xiaofei, go check it out. Did they really disappear? Or is it some kind of illusion-based ability?”

His voice was tight with tension. Spatial abilities were incredibly rare.

Xu Duoduo sighed helplessly and patiently waited as Bai Shu and Chen Xiaofei investigated. They even walked directly to where the cans had been. Nothing blocked their movement—it was clear as day that the cans had been put away.

To demonstrate her skills, once the two of them stepped back, she repeated the action several times—placing and retrieving the cans in quick succession.

The three of them were completely stunned.

Finally, Qin Luo covered his face, equal parts disbelief and delight. “Alright, alright, we get it! No need to keep demonstrating.”

Only then did Xu Duoduo stop. Instead, she held onto Qin Luo’s neck more firmly. Her thoughts were simple—she was clumsy, and with Qin Luo as her mobile transport unit, she had to hold on tight.

Chen Xiaofei was still questioning reality. “Heavens, this isn’t a dream, right? And all this stuff… Xiaobanzhang’s space isn’t small at all!”

Then, realizing something, he quickly lowered his voice. “We should keep this a secret, right?”

Qin Luo shot him a “no shit” look. “Are you dumb enough to go blabbing about it?”

Chen Xiaofei shook his head frantically.

Bai Shu, now calmer, said, “The most important thing is figuring out how big Xiaobanzhang’s space is and how much it can store.”

Chen Xiaofei’s eyes immediately lit up as he stared at Xu Duoduo with excitement.

Feeling a bit overwhelmed by his intense gaze, Xu Duoduo instinctively leaned closer to Qin Luo. But she also wanted to collect supplies—otherwise, what was the point of having this space?

She needed to prove her worth so they’d be willing to take her along. Most importantly, she knew these guys well—they were trustworthy.

After all, they had been classmates for three years.

Xu Duoduo pointed to another pile of cans and patted Qin Luo’s shoulder to signal him to go over.

With his long legs, Qin Luo reached the spot in just a few strides. And then, a miracle unfolded—wherever the little zombie in his arms pointed, he obediently moved, and she collected pile after pile.

Chen Xiaofei’s expression morphed from excitement to surprise, then to shock, and finally, numbness.

Bai Shu was almost overheating from sheer joy. He reached up to adjust his glasses, only to realize he wasn’t wearing any. He put his hand back in his pocket and said, “We’re set!”

Xiaobanzhang was basically a walking, oversized warehouse! They could collect endless supplies!

Was this not the ultimate jackpot?!

Chen Xiaofei was moved to tears. “We’ll never have to beg and scrounge for supplies again!” Free shopping, 24/7!

Bai Shu, on the other hand, was already thinking about gasoline. That was the real priority, along with medicines from hospitals and pharmacies.

In the early days of the apocalypse, these things were crucial.

Qin Luo carried Xu Duoduo as they wandered through the warehouse, collecting supplies along the way. Occasionally, he mumbled, “You okay? Don’t overdo it. Getting infected with the zombie virus already messes with your brain—if you push too hard, you might really turn into a little idiot.”

Xu Duoduo rolled her eyes at him but still patted his shoulder, signaling him to keep going.

Qin Luo chuckled at her little gestures. For some reason, he was pleased to see she still had some human consciousness left.

“I never expected to run into you again. We didn’t keep in touch after graduation. How have you been?”

Xu Duoduo paused but didn’t answer.

After middle school graduation, they had scattered like dandelions, each going their own way.

She had been fine—just focused on studying, studying, and more studying.

If she could talk, she would have liked to ask him how he had been. Why did he suddenly join the military? And what about Bai Shu and the others?

But unfortunately, she couldn’t say anything. The only sounds that came out of her mouth were garbled zombie noises—not a chance she was going to embarrass herself like that.

So she stayed silent and continued collecting cans. Her cube-like spatial inventory gradually filled up, compartment by compartment.

Qin Luo didn’t seem to expect an answer. He muttered a few more words, then kept walking while she kept storing supplies. Eventually, they emptied out the entire warehouse.

The space was now completely barren—every word they spoke echoed.

Chen Xiaofei was beyond satisfied. Just knowing that all these supplies belonged to their team was exhilarating. He went ahead to scout the next warehouse, making things easier for Qin Luo and Xu Duoduo.

This canned food factory was impressively clean, making the collection process smooth and effortless.

Just as they reached the second warehouse, thunder rumbled in the distance.

The ground seemed to tremble.

Xu Duoduo looked up. Dark clouds loomed over the horizon, thick and ominous. Lightning flickered constantly within the storm, and the next second—

BOOM!

Thunder exploded in their ears.

A large hand suddenly covered the back of her head, pressing her face into a warm embrace while shielding one of her ears. “Don’t listen, or you’ll go deaf.”

Qin Luo and his damn mouth! Always ruining the mood!

Xu Duoduo sighed regretfully. Such a handsome face, and yet he just had to open his mouth.

Bai Shu, seeing the violent thunderstorm approaching, glanced at his watch and pulled out a tablet from his spatial storage card. He quickly snapped some photos of the scene and uploaded them to headquarters.

“The thunderstorms are getting stronger and stronger. Damn, this factory’s lightning protection better hold up.”

Chen Xiaofei also took a quick look, then resumed keeping watch while Qin Luo and Xu Duoduo collected supplies.

Although they had already cleared out the zombies in the factory, there was always the risk of a few stragglers—or worse, mutated creatures.

Despite their usual banter, their team of four never messed around when it came to serious matters.

Fortunately, everything went smoothly.

Xu Duoduo’s space was massive beyond words. Even after collecting supplies from three giant warehouses, it still barely made a dent—like throwing a pebble into the ocean.

Bai Shu noticed the storm creeping closer and immediately shouted, “It’s coming! Qin Ge, hurry up! You two, get inside the factory!”
