Apocalypse Arrival: Little Zombie, I Just Hoard, Hoard, Hoard! Chapter 207: Escape from Waguo

Qin Luo held Xu Duoduo tightly and sprinted forward, his speed significantly increasing. The streets were filled with rampaging mutant insects and mutant animals.

The mutant animals from the east had been wiped out by Qin Luo, but violent creatures from other directions continued to emerge.

This wasn’t the time for a fight—everyone was focused on running for their lives. They would only attack if a mutant animal directly threatened them.

“Ugh, this is so annoying. Duoduo, hold on tight—I’m going to speed up again.”

Xu Duoduo obediently tightened her grip around him. In times like these, it was better for her to be carried than to slow them down by running separately.

Qin Luo appreciated her cooperation. If she insisted on running on her own, he would be distracted trying to keep an eye on her, and she would also have to watch out for herself.

That would slow both of them down.

Luckily, Qin Luo was fast. He stepped on a mutant insect and leaped up onto a building, sprinting across the rooftops.

Meanwhile, Chen Xiaofei had been busy rescuing several teammates, including members of international squads.

“Damn, are they our allies or just deadweight?” he muttered in frustration.

Despite his complaints, he still reached out and pulled them to safety. They stammered their thanks in broken Chinese, their legs trembling in fear.

Hearing Chinese made Chen Xiaofei feel a little better. He turned his head just in time to see a foreign soldier lift an enormous vehicle and hurl it at a swarm of mutant insects, successfully blocking off a street.

“Wuhu! Now that’s what I call teamwork! Finally, someone useful.”

With that, he hurried forward again.

Hearing Chen Xiaofei’s endless chatter over the earpiece, Bai Shu couldn’t help but interject, “Focus. The situation is unpredictable—stay alert.”

Chen Xiaofei grumbled, “Yeah, yeah, I got it. I’m helping Lao Wang now!”

The world really was small.

As they sprinted forward, they ran into Jinpeng Squad again. Ironically, Jin Chuanqiong was the only one left from his team.

When he came face to face with 3A, Bai Shu immediately raised his gun, aiming for his heart. Jin Chuanqiong managed to dodge, but Bai Shu’s next shot hit his arm.

“Lucky bastard. Let’s see if you can dodge the next one.”

Jin Chuanqiong was startled by Bai Shu’s sudden appearance. Clutching his bleeding arm, he panicked before suddenly shouting, “Bai Shu!! You dare to betray your own country’s comrades?! You heartless traitor!”

Classic move—playing the victim.

Hearing this, Chen Xiaofei immediately turned back. “Jin Dapeng, you son of a—!!”

This bastard had lured the monsters toward them, and now he had the audacity to play innocent?!

Chen Xiaofei flung a flying knife at Jin Chuanqiong, but it was blocked by his metal shield. Jin Chuanqiong was a metal-type ability user, which only infuriated Chen Xiaofei further—he was ready to summon a tornado to end him.

Wang Weihu roared, “The tsunami’s coming! Don’t waste time on that scumbag!!”

There would be plenty of time to settle accounts once they were safe.

They could even file an official complaint against Jin Chuanqiong later—he wouldn’t get away with this.

Jin Chuanqiong used the chaos as an opportunity to escape.

Qin Luo, still carrying Xu Duoduo, caught up with Bai Shu and Chen Xiaofei, ordering them, “Stop chasing him. Prioritize your own safety—we’ll deal with this later!”

Bai Shu and Chen Xiaofei reluctantly turned back, following Qin Luo away.

As Chen Xiaofei glanced behind him, his scalp tingled in fear. “Shit! That huge black wall behind us—is that a wave?! How freaking high is that?!”

Bai Shu cursed. “Why the hell are you still looking? Run!”

They no longer had the energy to fight. Wang Weihu’s warning had come just in time, and with Qin Luo arriving to give orders, they hadn’t wasted any more time on Jin Chuanqiong.

They sprinted at full speed, but the massive tsunami loomed closer and closer.

Meanwhile, the Leopard Squad and Dove Squad were being ushered forward by Wang Weihu. They reached the border of Waguo first, glancing back in search of their comrades.

“Brother Qin isn’t here yet!!”
“Sister Duoduo’s missing too!”
“What about Brother Xiaofei and Brother Bai Shu?!”

Wang Weihu herded them onto the airships. “They’re coming! Don’t waste time waiting—get on board now! We don’t have enough airships to wait for everyone.”

There was no time to wait for a designated ship—whoever arrived had to board whatever was available.

The squads were reluctantly forced onto the airships, worried sick but obedient. They didn’t cause trouble, just anxiously waited for the return trip.

Wang Weihu turned just in time to see members of the Rose Squad being supported by warriors from Country E. He hurried over.

“Captain Mu, is your squad alright?”

Mu Mei looked pale, her arm severely injured. “We ran into a three-star coconut crab mutant on the way out. Luckily, we encountered Aleksei and Amina’s team.”

If not for them, the Rose Squad might not have made it—either due to exhaustion or the incoming tsunami.

Even if they had managed to kill the mutant crab, they wouldn’t have escaped in time.

Wang Weihu expressed his gratitude to the warriors from Country E. They waved it off, one of them speaking in awkward Chinese, “Your flying friend also helped many of our comrades.”

There was no time for further conversation. Aleksei and Amina quickly turned back to rescue more survivors, their squad still holding up well physically.

Wang Weihu helped escort the Rose Squad onto an airship—they were too weak to fight any longer.

Mu Mei, worried, asked, “What about 3A? How will you escape?”

Wang Weihu reassured her, “You go ahead. We’ll wait for the next airship.”

In this emergency, airships couldn’t wait for specific teams. As soon as one was full, it had to take off immediately.

Wang Weihu wasn’t about to abandon his teammates. Once the Rose Squad was safe, he jumped off the airship.

At the boarding site, chaos reigned. People were frantically climbing onto the aircrafts, some from foreign teams even trying to board Huaguo’s airships.

Wang Weihu blocked them. At two meters tall, he was intimidating.

“You have your own aircraft—go queue up there.”

“I know you’re desperate, but wait your turn.”

He repeated himself in both Chinese and English. Those who preyed on weakness grumbled and cursed, looking for other ways to sneak in.

Wang Weihu stayed to oversee the process, ensuring that only authorized personnel boarded. Meanwhile, he checked in on his squad via comms.

Chen Xiaofei’s voice rang out, “Almost there!!”

Hearing Qin Luo and Bai Shu chime in as well, Wang Weihu finally felt a bit more at ease. “Where’s the squad leader? Why isn’t she responding?”

Qin Luo finally had a moment to answer, “She’s about to fall asleep. Don’t worry, she’s fine.”

As long as she was in his arms, nothing would happen to her.

Wang Weihu chuckled. As long as everyone was safe, that was all that mattered.

Suddenly, a string of curses erupted around him.

Wang Weihu turned his head—and froze in shock.

The tsunami behind them was impossibly high.

If it crashed down, everyone would be swept away and drowned instantly.

The foreign teams were screaming in terror, their frantic expletives echoing through the air.
