Lin Qianxing mentioned that he planned to try to integrate space cards into other pieces of jewelry, or perhaps attempt to deconstruct one and see how it works. But these things would require time to verify.
As expected, the little kid brother had some real skills.
The entire 3A team encouraged him to keep going!
Lin Qianxing felt a bit embarrassed, “Isn’t that what I’m supposed to do?”
Xu Duoduo suddenly remembered something and asked him, “We have some ores. Do you want them?”
She had picked up a lot in the Waguo area, and she had given all of the ones in her space card to the base. However, she still had plenty in her own space and felt like she could sell some more.
Lin Qianxing immediately became excited. “Really? What kind of ores?”
He said ores were very important now, especially power stones, which were essential for survival during the Blackout Days. There were other types of ores that were important too.
“Whether for extracting elements, infrastructure, or weapons, these ores are really valuable!”
Xu Duoduo took out some ores from her space. Lin Qianxing immediately rushed over, his eyes sparkling. “Oh my god, you’re selling these? There are so many ores from abroad? These are all great stuff!”
He said the black ore was incredibly hard and could be used to make excellent swords and knives.
The base was also using black ores to reinforce the walls, which could prevent attacks from lizardmen.
Xu Duoduo didn’t know much about these ores, so selling them to Lin Qianxing or the base was the best option for her.
The 3A team gained points or needed supplies, while Lin Qianxing and the base could make the best use of these materials, which was very worthwhile.
Lin Qianxing was so happy that he began calculating how many points he had left. “I’ll take all of them. I can probably take out 200 million points right now. Although points are beginning to lose value, it’s still a good deal when buying weapons and tanks from the headquarters. I also have some mutant core on hand.”
The 3A team watched Xu Duoduo initiate negotiations with Lin Qianxing, and they didn’t interfere with her decision, feeling pleased to see her growing.
Chen Xiaofei whispered, “Our little squad leader can communicate on her own now!”
Bai Shu pushed up his glasses and said, “She didn’t regress in IQ even after exhausting her abilities.”
Wang Weihuo sighed, “That’s great.”
Qin Luo couldn’t stop smiling, watching Xu Duoduo improve. He was happier than anyone else.
Xu Duoduo turned around and saw the four of them smiling at her. It made her feel reassured, and then she turned back to Lin Qianxing. “Priority for the mutant core.”
She counted on her fingers. Qin Luo needed a four-star Thunderstorm-type Ability Core. If there were five-star ones, even better. Wang Weihuo, Chen Xiaofei, and Bai Shu all needed four-star mutant core as well.
The mutant core from the headquarters were hard to come by, and it was really difficult to find a match for one’s abilities.
Lin Qianxing had all kinds of customers, and he had a wide network. Although he had social anxiety, he wasn’t afraid of interacting online, and with Puppet Ab helping him manage the customers, he was well-equipped to collect resources.
Xu Duoduo was willing to forgo the points in exchange for mutant core in this barter arrangement.
Lin Qianxing was taken aback. Realizing that Xu Duoduo cared so much about the four of them, he nodded. “Don’t worry, since you’ve chosen this payment method, I’m happy to cooperate. Here’s a four-star Thunderstorm-type Ability Core for you. I’ll find the other three for you later.”
Xu Duoduo, the little zombie, nodded and said, “Thank you.”
She was already very satisfied to get a four-star Thunderstorm-type Ability Core right away!
Lin Qianxing quickly took out a brocade box from his personal space card. Inside was the mutant core, and Xu Duoduo immediately sensed its aura, though she still preferred the sweet mint scent from Qin Luo.
Qin Luo and the others were discussing skirt accessories, and Qin Luo glanced over at Xu Duoduo exchanging the mutant core. He reminded her, “Aren’t you going to exchange those one-star mutant core too? See if Lin Qianxing has any.”
Xu Duoduo suddenly remembered and hurriedly started exchanging the mutant core.
She swapped the remaining one-star mutant core for three-star mutant core, and for the ones she couldn’t get, she used two-star mechanical mutant core as a substitute. She also requested that the mutant core hadn’t been consumed by humans.
Lin Qianxing asked Puppet Ab to help search, and it turned out that he actually had some!
“Would a three-star Honey Blossom mutant core work? I have a hundred of them.”
These weren’t human-eating, as these plants absorbed rainwater but didn’t consume meat.
Xu Duoduo sighed in relief and immediately nodded. “Yes, thank you.”
Finding a mutant core that a zombie could consume was no easy task these days!
Lin Qianxing was happy to hand over the three-star mutant core. The mutated Honey Blossom mutant core was beautiful, a peach-pink color. It had no offensive capabilities, and a customer had been lucky enough to find some near R City.
If Xu Duoduo had come earlier or later, she might have missed it.
The little zombie was lucky.
After all the trading, Xu Duoduo independently exchanged for the 100 three-star mutant core she needed, clearing out all the one-star mutated bat mutant core and using up a small portion of the two-star mechanical mutant core.
It was still a great deal.
The ores Xu Duoduo picked up in Waguo were sold to Lin Qianxing for one-third of their value, and she got back 200 million points plus four four-star mutant core.
Currently, she had one Thunderstorm mutant core, but still needed three more for Wang Weihuo and the others.
Lin Qianxing was overjoyed with the rare ores, but kept his pride, so he only allowed a satisfied smile to spread across his face.
After exchanging the ores, he would retreat to his workshop and dive into research, asking not to be disturbed.
Qin Luo smiled and said, “How rare! We’re leaving now, little ghost. Take care of yourself. Don’t go fully mechanical, it’s really fun, but you’re still young! Be careful, you might not grow tall if you keep staying up late.”
Wang Weihuo also said, “Eat properly and don’t run around. If you need any materials, just let us know if we’re passing by. Don’t be stubborn.”
Chen Xiaofei added, “Exactly. Even though I don’t know what’s going on with you and that friend, if she’s really your friend, she wouldn’t want you to risk your life helping her with those scar-removal flowers, right?”
Bai Shu put his glasses back on. “In the apocalypse, survival is tough. Cherish every day.”
Qin Luo and the others all looked at Bai Shu and teased, “Oh? You’re getting all philosophical now?” “That’s impressive!” “Sounds pretty smooth?”
Xu Duoduo laughed along with them and said to Lin Qianxing, “See you next time.”
In the apocalypse, the phrase “see you next time” was definitely a very romantic one.
Before Lin Qianxing closed the door to his little workshop, he managed to show them a rare smile, and the warm light spread across the metal side of his face.
“See you next time, immature adults.”
